A few years ago I would have said this is the best gelati store in Melbourne, but with more shops popping up in the area, 7apples is starting to lose its edge. The gelati is still delicious but the service can sometimes be a bit slow and the shop isn't always open (mainly during winter). Yes I might be different but I like to get my gelati year round! I do like that they have flavours like Red Bull that you can't buy everywhere else.

Davey Macs is tucked away in a plain shop just off Beach rd. I think they get most of their customers as repeats as the outfit of the shop might not drag newbies in like other ice cream shops. The ice cream itself is some of the best in Melbourne. They have a malt one and I could eat buckets of it as it is so creamy and not overly sweet. Don't let the plain inside turn you off. Grab and ice cream and walk along the beach or sit in the park to enjoy.

I love that they have opened this 24 hour shop as now there is never a time too late to get pancakes! There is plenty of parking here and the restaurant is large enough that you know you will always get a seat. Yes it's probably the most you will spend on pancakes but the desserts are more of a meal. My favourite is the 'It'- a buttery banana and walnut sauce covering two large buttermilk pancakes. I love that there is maple syrup on every table so you can add as much as you want. The cocktails here are also very tasty and they often have specials on certain ones.

We went as a family to Hofbrauhaus last year for their Octoberfest celebrations. We booked a few weeks in advanced so had a good seat near the front of the hall to watch the dancing and singing. All the waiters wear traditional German outfits which is a nice touch. The beers are good value and I enjoyed the fruity ones. The food is a good size and will fill you up. My favourite dish was the apple strudel for dessert. Come here for a birthday celebration and you will have a fun night.

I went to Borsch Vodka and Tears after hearing many great things. It's a nice little restaurant but can get quite loud once they start cramming everyone in. The drinks there are my favourite as they have lots of good different vodkas. Some of the food is quite nice, but I found the Pierogi to be a bit bland. Definitely go to try the drinks before a night on Chapel st.

I get my brows waxed and tinted once a month at Benefit Brow Bar in Chaddy and the results I get have changed me completely. I used to have almost blonde eyebrows, which didn't suit my dark brown hair, but the lovely ladies here (especially Bec and Maria) have transformed them. The waxing never hurts (something I was hesitant about) and the tinting only takes a few minutes. In can be slightly strange sitting there in the middle of Myer having all this done but the service product keeps me coming back. Sometimes they are super busy so it is best to book otherwise all the ladies will be busy and you can be left standing there for a bit. After your service the offer a free makeup application and are quick friendly when suggesting products (not doing a hard sell). A tint and wax is $37 and the tint lasts me four weeks.

The Langham is probably my favourite hotel. It is luxurious without being posh and the design is just beautiful. I feel like a princess when staying here as the rooms are so pretty but not girly. The hotel is right on Southgate so great restaurants are just a trip down the lift and 100m away. The Langham has a nice pool and spa with spectacular views of the city-a great spot to laze away the afternoon at. There is a buffet restaurant available for breakfast, lunch and dinner but this is an added cost to the rooms. It is definitely a hotel to stay at for a special occasion.

My absolute favourite place to go for pizzas! Cielo's do a great the crust pizza with quality toppings that taste good every time. My favourites are the butter chicken (actually amazing on a pizza!), the potato, the buffalo cheese and the lamb. Yes you do pay a bit more for these but the quality is definitely worth it. This is just a takeaway place so unable so eat in but the delivery is quick and the pizzas are never soggy.

I have only ordered two items from here-Cherry Danish and Cheese Danish and I'm happy to stick with them as they are amazing. Anytime there's a special occasion we try to order the cherry Danish as the pastry is delicious and the cherries so tasty and tart. If we can't order the cherry we go for the cheese one which is perfect with coffee. The tarts are quite long and you can get at least fifteen slices out of them. The service isn't always amazing but the danishes are top-notch.

While Crown is one of the most expensive hotels in Melbourne it is also one of the best. Stunning views, beautiful rooms and proximity to plenty of restaurants and shops makes this a great place to stay. I've stayed here a few times and their beds are probably the best I've slept in and the pillows are amazing.
The bathrooms are very opulent and with most rooms you can watch tv in the bath!! If you are staying here I'd recommend you bring your bathers as the hotel pool is quite breathtaking. Some room rates include buffet breakfast at the Conservatory and if you can afford it definitely do it. Fantastic choice of foods, all cooked daily. I always feel fancy staying at Crown as their service is fantastic.
