Brunetti's are the masters at Italian cakes in Melbourne. The new Lygon st store is bigger and better than before, with plenty of seating and a pizza section at the back. The staff are very quick at service so you're never waiting long for your meal.
My favourite thing for breakfast is the scrambled eggs with bacon-only my dad makes better! The best drink has to be the Italian hot chocolate with cream on top. If there is just one thing you are going to get-make it the hot chocolate! Yummy gelati, biscotti and bombolini make this an absolute place to go in Melbourne.

With a name like 'Lord of the Fries' I was really expecting great things from their chips. I ordered a regular chips and got a side of sauce too. I'm unsure if the chips had been cooked earlier and just sitting around but they were soggy and limp. I might try them again in the future to see if it was just my bad luck but after my first experience I'm unsure. The staff in the shop were quite friendly and quick and serving so that is a positive that may tempt me back.

Although Grill'd is a franchise this is my favourite restaurant of theirs. The staff are always very welcoming and friendly and the burgers are consistently great quality. My favourite is the summer sunset on panini and it is always succulent and fresh. The chips are fantastic value-either grab a snack size or share a regular between two people as you get a lot-although I'm not complaining as they are my favourite chips-great with the sweet chilli mayo. They also offer the granitas here-the white peach one is the best-non alcoholic and cheap too. Service is very quick and they are always happy to grab you an extra plate or cutlery if needed.

I much prefer how Flybuys is run now compared to how it used to be with points expiring. Now, as long you use your card once a year your points won't expire, which is great for someone like me who doesn't spend a huge amount in Coles or Kmart. The rewards are a bit expensive but if you chip away slowly you will get something in the end. Also like how they send you vouchers for extra point deals too.

DOC serve some of the best antipasti and mozzarella that I have had in a long time. A lot of the mozzarella is made on site and it is so so delicious. My partner and I shared a mozzarella ball, grissini and ordered a pizza each and were absolutely stuffed! Such great food and fantastic thin crust pizza bases! The service is a bit all over the place but nothing horrible. Come for the food!

After a stint in America I have had craving for bagels!! Huff Bagelry sells a wide range of flavours, sweet and savoury, and you can buy them as is or with filling. To buy them as is they are very cheap-about $1 per bagel, and that is how I prefer to buy them. I would love them to offer a French onion and cream cheese spread as the cream cheese on its own is too plain. Still the bagels are delicious. Just make sure you get there early as they sell out quite early!

Rococo is a great addition to St Kilda as the dishes are filling and tasty and you can get some really great dishes here. Most of times I have been here service has been quick, but on some occasions they are a bit slower than normal. The pastas here are definitely a winner and keep bringing me back. It is a great place to go with friends.

I have eaten at the restaurant a few times and the risotto is always top notch. You get a pretty generous serving and they change the menu occasionally so you're not always having the same as last time. The view of the city is gorgeous from here so try and get a balcony seat if you can! Even if I have had dinner elsewhere I will always come to Tutto Bene for their gelati. They have the best flavours and the intensity of their fruit gelatis are superb. My favourite is the sour cherry, but they are always changing their selection depending on the season.

This has been my dentist ever since they were originally on centre rd. I have a bit of a fear of dentists and needles and they always do their best to keep me calm and allow me to watch the tv on the roof while I'm getting anything done. I always try to go to Claire as she is very friendly and great at her job. The waiting room is very clean and quiet and has a nice selection of up to date magazines to read while you are waiting. While I don't love going to the dentist, the staff here make it the least stressful experience for me that they can.

Will's Batch is fairly new in Bentleigh and is tucked in being Nandos. They do the best deal on ice cream sundaes as they are easily big enough to share between two people. You can sit inside or outside-perfect for all seasons. They have a good selection of ice creams and sorbets and have something for everyone. Also you can add toppings to your ice creams like chocolate bars and lollies. The nut sundae is the best!
