We went there for dinner tonight to catch up with a friend from interstate. The service we received was great-very friendly and happy to help. I ordered the saganaki and roast potatoes and neither was really what I was after. Firstly the cheese wasn't saganaki-tasted like melted tasty cheese-it also didn't have the texture of saganaki. Also the potatoes were described as rosemary potatoes and there was one tiny rosemary leaf in the bowl and no flavour. My friends quite enjoyed their food though and loved the dessert platter. Maybe some items are better than others. It was quite dark inside but it felt quite cosy. If I come back I will try something different.

This is by far my favourite fish and chip shop in Sorrento. The food is well priced and cooked fresh. The chips are crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I love their potato cakes and my bf really likes their flake. It can get quite busy during summer so best to go for a walk while waiting for your order. I like that this is close enough to be able to take it down to the beach for a proper fish and chips experience.

The Conservatory takes the cake for me for upscale buffets in Melbourne. They have recently redecorated the restaurant and it is so beautiful and classic now. I have eaten breakfast and dinner here numerous times and I have never been disappointed with a single item of food. They have a great selection of roasts, seafood, Asian dishes, curries, salads and the best dessert buffet including four chocolate fountains. It isn't the cheapest night out but you are definitely getting what you pay for. The view of the city is great and you get to experience the fire shows too. Fantastic location and excellent food and service.

I went here for my birthday last year as they do heaps of flavoured vodkas and cheap and filling pizzas. It does get pretty busy at night so if you want to sit and eat you do need to get there early. It's a cool bar to catch up with friends and play a game of pool.

This is a great little pet shop and I'm glad to see that they don't sell kittens or puppies anymore (my opinion that these should be bought from certified breeders or adopted). I have bought hermit crabs from here before and they were a good price. They have a good range of toys here too, one I bought for my dog has been going strong, used every day for two years now! The staff are friendly and happy to help.

Jaspers Medical Centre has been my family doctor for my whole life and I don't have any want or need to swap. Dr Stagg and Dr Griffith are my first choices to go to-they know my medical history well and have a very friendly demeanour. The ladies on the front desk are very polite too. One thing I would suggest is to book an appointment, and then 30mins before the appointment ring to check if they are running on time. Sometimes I have had to wait a while so now I just ring beforehand. The do bulk billing as well which is helpful.

I've heard a lot of great things about Huxtaburger but I'm unsure if they live up to the hype. The burgers are nice but nothing special, and the chips could do with some more seasoning or a better flavour. There is limited seating inside so best to takeaway. I did have a fantastic caramel milkshake here though so I do recommend them. If you're in the area check it out, but I wouldn't travel across town for them.

La Belle Miette is such a sweet little shop with a nice selection of macarons and French tea. The macarons come in sweet pastel colours and you can buy them is different sizes of boxes. I think these macarons are the best for gifts as a thank you or for a sweet birthday gift. I have had better tasting macarons but these are up there tasting great, and the texture is just how a macaron should be-crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside.

What I love about Donovans is that you feel like you are inside the owners home as they really do look after you. The decor is so nice and perfect in winter as they have a fireplace. For dinner I would recommend booking as it is very popular for celebrations and business meetings. The food is very good and you know you are going to get a great feed. My favourite thing is the baked Alaska dessert which is enough to share for a few people. Donovans has been doing great food for years and their service is one of the reasons people keep coming back. Is location is also great as it is right on the beach.

I tried Tuckshop Takeaway and was very happy with the products this new shop is producing. I order the minor burger (beef with salad, cheese, pickle and mustard) and some handout chips. I also had a small Nutella milkshake which was so so good (they also offer a redskin milkshake that I will be back to try). For dessert I had a redskin brownie which was so tasty and so cool. Who would have thought to put redskins in a brownie!? There is limited seating so come at a quiet time (eg later afternoon) or just grab it to go. The staff are very friendly so I can only imagine their business will do great as the months go on :)
