Popped in with hubby and picked up two rice paper rolls; and a pork bahn mee.
The wait was quick and made easy with a pager; food was fresh and tasty.
So disappointed with my stay in the Creekside villa at Port Campbell.
There were so many things wrong with it; it really was not fit to be let out.
Electric blankets with bent plugs; leaking sink; dead bugs in the lights; blinds not closing properly; no frypan in the kitchen, light missing in the bathroom, and more.
Reception helped me with what they could, but it was really like staying somewhere the quality of a backpacker's hostel (and I have stayed in a few!).
When the price per night is as expensive as this, you expect better.
I recently stayed in one of the brand new Villas. It was 5 star accommodation. Plenty of space, everything you need, an immaculate.
We had a view of a lighthouse and the waterfront from our balcony. The sunrises and sunsets were stunning.
Nice and close to town.
I've been in to Waratah on a few occasions now.
Being a bit sus on the 'organic' claim, I spoke to the owner to ask which part of the cafe was organic. I was pleased to discover that everything, 'right down to the oil, salt, and pepper' is certified organic. How refreshing.
The raw cakes are divine. I've had smoothies, the lunch plate (which changes daily), chia pudding, and more.
My only gripe is that they can be quite slow, and have forgotten drinks/items. I think this will not be an issue as they gain more experience.
I was pleased to see a new addition to the cafe strip in Belgrave. I popped in with my mum and son for lunch.
I can't remember the exact name of what I ordered, but it was fritters with smoked salmon, and was approx $16. I really didn't think it was worth that, and I would have been much better off ordering separate items from the cabinet- fritters, salad, etc- and putting together my own plate, as I left hungry.
My son's pancakes came out about 10 minutes after my mum's and mine meals had arrived, and we'd almost finished. My pet hate with cafes is when they bring the kid's food/drinks after everyone elses.
I see from their facebook page that they offer free babycinos. It would have been wonderful if the staff had mentioned this to us.
They have a toy corner which is fab. I'd like to return and give them another go, as I think they'd only recently opened and might have been having an off day.
Thoroughly enjoyed picking up a punnet of strawberries from Portland Strawberries.
They were so divine, the 500g disappeared within the hour between myself and my kids.
I tried some of the local artisan chocolate they had in the store, but it was pretty terrible, so steer clear of that.
Was happy with a recent visit to Henty St Fish n Grill while on holidays.
They were friendly and had my order ready quickly.
Thoroughly enjoyed a visit to Cafe Bahloo.
It was full of beautiful, healthy menu options. My kids and I enjoyed sitting in a large room away from the main cafe. We played Uno, and some other games, that were provided, while we waited for our order to arrive.
The loose leaf chai latte was very good. We enjoyed some bliss balls and biscuits.
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to get my shoes shined with the Cobblers Last as part of Melbourne Spring Fashion Week.
It was my first shoe shine and I quite enjoyed it! They made pleasant conversation, and didn't make me feel bad for the terrible state of my boots.
I walked away with gorgeous shiny boots. Very happy!
Enjoyed the 'Menu 2' which provided a vast selection of different dishes. A few (the fish salad, and something else, which I'm not sure what it was) tasted a little heavy with the fish sauce, so were overly salty and I just couldn't eat them.
The rhubarb compote for dessert was lovely. I enjoyed a mocktail- pineapple cooler.
The wait staff were efficient. My water glass was constantly being topped up.
