My 2 boys and I enjoyed a wonderful day at the Enchanted Maze Garden. The Children's Maze was a hit; we loved the giant snakes and ladders. Many turns were had on the tube slides. My boys (6 and 3) were too scared to go into the spooky 3D maze so we gave that a miss.
The gardens are stunning and the ground staff are very friendly.

Ordered a half half New York and Hawaiian. Despite ordering just before they opened at 5pm and getting told to pickup in 10 minutes, we had to wait another 10 minutes when we arrived. I really dislike inaccurate pickup times as I often have my 2 boys with me. There was one other customer waiting for their pizza.
This annoyance aside, the pizza was excellent, and if I return to Dromana I will order from them again.

Popped in to Little Alice to get 2 hot chocolates, a chai latte, and a cappuccino before the drive back to Melbourne.
It was Sunday morning and very busy. We waited approximately 12 minutes for our drinks. The staff were not particularly friendly and didn't smile much.
The drinks on the other hand- just lovely! Best hot chocolate I've ever had (would love to know what they are using); my chai latte was a proper one, actually brewed, and my husband was happy with his coffee.
Would love to stop for something to eat next time we are passing through. The sweets display looked particularly enticing.

Popped in to Kim Long after checking Urbanspoon review ratings, and finding this restaurant on top with 94%. I'm really not sure how they achieved this rating. We arrived at 6.45pm on a Saturday night, and nobody else was there.
We were seated, and the young waitress who seemed inexperienced brought over our menus and some water and glasses. Despite it being empty apart from our table, she did not pour the water.
We ordered cranberry juice, which after a wait she came back and told us they no longer stock it. $4 for a Goulburn Valley apple juice which I have to pour myself is a bit steep. I had to ask for a glass too.
The food was ok, but really nothing special. The total bill for 3 apple juices, beef and black bean, fried rice, prawn crackers, spring rolls, and another main for my husband, came in at $71.
The people running the restaurant seemed very friendly, and chatted to us as we paid.

I stayed at Mitchell Gardens, now called Bairnsdale Rivers, for 2 nights in a cabin with my family.
The cabin was clean and tidy. The park does not really cater to families- there are only 2 swings, and a swimming pool, which it was too cold to use.
There is a new playground across the road which is excellent, however sometimes you just want to be able to sit on your deck and supervise the kids on the play equipment that most parks have, and this one had pretty well nothing- not even DVDs or board games to hire.

I stayed at Eastern Beach in a Deluxe Waterview Villa with my 2 kids for 2 nights. The park is the best I've ever stayed at. It is really set up for families- you have a small rec room with a few skill testers, jumping pillow, swimming pool and playground; and then a 5 minute walk to get to Eastern Beach.
The villa itself was ace. The service we received was more in line with a hotel. Will be returning.

My husband booked dinner at Bergerac for the two of us for our wedding anniversary, knowing that I am a lover of all things French.
I was impressed from the moment I walked in. Two gentlemen were playing delightful French café music.
We were shown to our table. The décor was very French.
I loved the real butter and baguette for a little taster.
We had the bruschetta to share. I had a special of grilled King Dory fillet with a tomato caper salad which was divine.
For dessert we shared the crème brulee- also wonderful.
To our surprise, there was a show put on by 2 Brazilian dancers. Thankfully, neither of us were pulled into the conga line.
I'd love to return when we are next child free!

Popped in for a drink and a bite after dropping in to VCAT.
Not being a coffee drinker, I asked what one might try in this situation. The lovely barista poured me a cup of Guatemalan coffee to try, which was actually really enjoyable.
I ended up getting the homemade lemonade, and one of the nicest hot chocolates I've ever had.
Food wise, we had the chicken roll, and lentil salad- so fresh and full of flavour.
I will definitely be returning when in the area again.

I've attended prenatal yoga classes with Kate at TLC Birth and Beyond. The classes are very gentle and relaxing, with a lovely time for meditation at the end. Kate has luscious bolsters, cushions, blankets and blocks so that you are always comfortably positioned.
Kate is very knowledgeable about prenatal yoga. I have also attended her Womens Day, which is a WHOLE day of yoga, stretches and meditation- just divine!

Fastway are a very shabby outfit. They have been driving around with a parcel of mine since 21/8, and it was not delivered until 27/8.
Apparently the driver in my area 'did not have time' to delivery my package, and so each day it would show up as 'unable to be delivered' and just stay in the van.
I had to ring Fastway and they explained the situation. They told me I would have the parcel delivered by 5pm on the 26/8. No parcel delivered....
I rang again on the 27/8, spoke to someone who told me it would definitely be delivered that day, and finally it was. But seriously, it was picked up on 20/8, should have been delivered on the 21/8, and did not arrive until 27/8, and not with much time wasted on phone calls.
They've similarly not delivered with other packages before. I avoid businesses who use them.
