Abayda was one of the few places open in the area for a massage over the Christmas break.
I booked in for a 60 minute 'Signature' massage. It was divine. Gail has an intuitive massage style and you can't help but melt into the table under her touch.
Will be back in for sure when next in the area on holiday.

Popped in for a chai latte and was pleasantly surprised to find this little gem.
They have a small but solid range of drinks and snacks. Parkers Organic soft drinks/juices, Rawsome Kitchen bliss balls and slices, syrups for milkshakes imported from France with no nasty numbers or preservatives on the ones I looked at (I know, they let me check them!).
You could happily bring the kids in and not worry about what they would choose.
Small menu- Croque Monsieur, scones with jam and cream (Sunny Creek Organic jams) or savoury scones.

There is a retail space as well with lots of lovely things. Many of them would be breakable though and at kiddy height, so possibly a better stop for older families.

I want to start by saying the food here is divine.
We stopped in on a Sunday for an early lunch. It took around 40 minutes for the food to come out.
There was some confusion when I ordered. I asked at the counter for a hot chocolate to be made takeaway, but brought to the table with our food (my little one never finishes his hot chocolate and we wanted to be able to take it with us).
Everyone's drinks were brought to the table, but the hot chocolate did not come. I waited a little longer, then went in, and had to queue up to get to the counter. When I asked where the drink was, I was told with quite the tone "I've been calling our your name for AGES"; which I really didn't appreciate, given that I'd been quite clear when I ordered with the request, and been told that it was fine!

Anyway, great food, but be prepared to wait.

Popped in for a massage and Vichy shower on my recent holiday.
Very skilled massage, and the Vichy shower was to die for.
I enjoyed sitting in the relaxation lounge at the end with a cup of Litya tea and a magazine.

Great view at the top!
Spent a good hour up here with the kids. Lots of little facts to discover.
Only disappointment was the movie was SO hard to hear. Perhaps they can look at either turning up the volume or putting in a wall to block out some of the noise.

This review is for Putt Putt Golf Mermaid Beach, Mermaid Beach QLD

Our entire family loved Mermaid Beach Putt Putt! The Waterways course was fantastic. We played on a really hot day, and you just felt cooler being next to the water.
Loved the flamingos and other animals dotted around the course, and the spinning wheels add a bit of fun to the game.

Also played the Fun Run course which was good fun, but sadly for us none of the motorised features were working, which did take away a little of the fun. In fairness, we were told about this before we paid, but the kids were not to be swayed.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the Waterways course is the best that I've ever played; and I've played dozens of courses over the years with 3 kids!

One of the more underwhelming mini golf courses I've played at...and trust me, with 3 kids, I've played dozens.
We played the outdoor course, which is packed in to such a small space, that it's not particularly challenging. It could do with lick of paint.
The landscaping is lovely. However, there is nowhere to sit down in between holes.
We had a walk around inside and it looked great.

Highly recommend heading to Mermaid Beach Mini Golf for a superior experience.

Thai Silom was a great stop for our weary family of 5 on the way back to our apartment from a day at Dreamworld.
The food was delicious; and they were happy to pack away any leftovers for us.

This review is for 1two3 Mediterranean Dining and Lounge Bar, Broadbeach QLD

We were walking past 1two3 when we were stopped by a lady at the front who mentioned that all prices were 25% off if dining early.
We decided to give them a try. A high chair was quickly brought over for our baby; and colouring in sheets and pencils for our older kids.
The food took 35 minutes to come which I felt was a little too long; but once it arrived it was very yummy.

Very happy with our stay at The Breakers. The pool and BBQ areas are beautiful and well kept.
Walking with kids was about 20 minutes to the Broadbeach shops and 25 minutes to Surfers Paradise.
Even in the middle of our stay during Schoolies, we weren't particularly bothered by any of the shenanigans.
