Recently visited The Shearing Shed for mum and dad's wedding anniversary.
The food was top notch. Given how quiet it was, I felt the service could have been a little faster. Lunch took a few hours and was hard on the kids.
Chocolate tart for dessert was amazing. The menu was easily adapted to cater for various dietary intolerances at our table.

I'll have to be honest and say that when we drove past Grumpy's and the kids asked to go, I thought it would be really lame as all the holes are packed into such a small space.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
Grumpy's more than makes up for it's small space with entertaining little quirks on the holes.
The course is immaculately kept and obviously well looked after. The paint was bright and cheerful.
The kids loved it so much we played twice during our stay.

Only thing I would suggest is they make a family pass price to make it more affordable. From memory at $11 per adult and $9 per child, $40 for a family of 4 I found quite expensive.

I recently saw both Dr Jenna and Dr James from TLC Birth and Beyond in Upper Ferntree Gully.
I also took my 3 children in to see Dr James.
The appointments for the kids were a whole lot of fun- Dr James laughed, sang and played with them, so it wasn't like your 'typical' adjustment. My eldest who is usually quite wary of going places for the first time was more than happy to jump on the table when it was his turn.
My 11 month old is usually quite unhappy when handed over to someone else, so I was surprised to see him gaze adoringly at Dr James and not make a peep during his checkup- I've never seen anything like it! He also slept for 2 hours after his adjustment which was a nice change from his usual short naps.
As a healthcare professional myself, over the year I have seen many different bodyworkers, and I have to say that Amo Chiropractic are brilliant and I wholeheartedly recommend them.

Ordered takeaway from Scooter.Pizzas were laden with toppings.
The pasta was delicious; although hubby found it a little salty.
The risotto was ok; probably wouldn't order it again.
Tiramisu was pretty delish!

Popped in to the newest addition to the Eastfield strip shops. Was very pleased to be able to order a loose leaf chai latte. Most places offer honey on the side; however Eastfield doesn't, although they do have rapadura sugar on the tables (but it just isn't the same!)
Nice selection of sweet treats, including some healthier options.

I was so excited when a groovy looking cafe, that wouldn't look out of place in the inner suburbs, opened up in my local strip.
I have visited on a few occasions now, and will only return for drinks.
The kids' pancakes were very average. My grilled sandwich was boring, and didn't have much filling in it.
When I visited for breakfast once, I waited 45 minutes for my meal. I don't mind waiting if I'm told there's a wait when I walk in, but nothing was mentioned. Granted, they did remove our drinks from the bill by way of apology.

The hot chocolates they make are the best in the area. Sadly, for a place using awesome coffee, they use boring oversweet powder for the chai lattes. There's so many other alternatives which would be better suited to their offering, including Phoenix or Calmer Sutra.

I had to come in to Life Mobility to pick up a special cushion that had been ordered for my grandfather who was at home in palliative care.
I found the staff very sensitive at a distressing time; as well as friendly and efficient.

Popped in here on the way to Port Campbell. Service was fast and friendly.
I enjoyed some dumplings. There is a real variety of food to choose from. Perfect road trip stop.

I've seen Lee from Apple Tree for both pregnancy, and remedial massages.
She is excellent at her craft. I've floated out of her room after a visit, feeling relaxed and able to move more freely.

This review is for Allegro Restaurant, Melbourne VIC

So disappointed by the buffet breakfast at Allegro.
When we arrived, we were seated out our table and asked if we wanted a drink, and just left there. We had the 'Gourmet Superfoods' Buffet Breakfast, which sounded like something exotic, so we thought the staff would let us know which section of the buffet we needed to stick to.
It was quite busy and crowded, and it didn't seem like there were enough staff working as they were running around like headless chooks; and things were taking a long time to get sorted.
In the end, we had to chase someone down, and they seemed confused, and said they would 'go check with the manager'. They ended up coming back and mumbled something unintelligible. In the end we just went and grabbed a plate and served ourselves from the buffet area. I think maybe that 'Gourmet Superfoods' is just some sort of title.
My hot chocolate was watery and the froth was bad. It was almost like it was made on an automatic machine. Hubby's coffee was pretty terrible. We ended up repairing this experience by going across the road to Waffee after.
Breakfast was average. The scrambled eggs were sloppy and runny. There was a vast selection of food to choose from, but I'm really not sure what is 'superfoods' about it.
At $40 per head, I expected better. I would return to Collins Kitchen at the Grand Hyatt for their spectacular breakfast any day over Allegro.
