Everyone loves a good German sausage and to have one with a beer before or after the footy is awesome. They have a good range from bratwurst to cheese kransky and currywurst. Nice fresh rolls, saurcraut and onions with some sauce compliment them perfectly. I'm eager to try their chicken schnitzels also.

The Pink is a tradies pub as it had a lot of businesses and industry around it and as such is not the classiest pub. However they regularly have good bar meal specials on and have cheap beers so makes a good spot for a few beers after work. They also regularly had promo girls so draw in a good crowd when they are on. Being a graziers pub too they steaks are always going to be decent.

This review is for Seaview Hotel, Townsville QLD

The Seaview hotel has a great spot on the strand in Townsville and coupled with a big beer garden it makes it a great hotel for a beer. They also do some nice steaks and wood fired pizzas for decent value. It's a great pub to while away the hours whilst taking in some sea breezes in North Queensland.

This review is for Kirwan Tavern, Kirwan QLD

The Kirwan Tavern is a decent suburban pub, it doesn't do anything special but has a good pub grub menu, TAB and regularly has the UFC on the big screen. They have been outdone a bit by the Avenues tavern and the fact you can't drink in the TAB but it's one of the best pubs for UFC events

This review is for Harold's Seafood On The Strand, North Ward QLD

verified email - 24 Aug 2014

Harold's does a decent fish and chips and some good burgers however they are much too expensive for simple fish and chips. They have the prime location on the strand so they get plenty of business but if they charged these prices elsewhere they wouldn't get much business. It's nice to get some fish and chips and go across the road and eat on the grass however there are better fish and chips in Townsville.

This review is for Bistro C, Noosa Heads QLD

Great little cafe right on the beach on Hastings St in Noosa. It was very busy when we visited but the service was still prompt and fast. It was the most popular spot along Hastings St and the food delivered. It was an interesting menu with good choices for breakfast. My only complaint was the prices for extras were a bit steep, $4 for two hash browns or one poached egg and $5 for half an avocado.

This review is for Yellowfin Seafood Restaurant, Broadbeach QLD

verified email - 22 Aug 2014

I had heard a lot of good things about Yellowfin but I wasn't very impressed with my meal. I had a voucher to utilise so it made it better value but my scallops were only so so and it wasn't a very big portion for the full price. The venue also seems quite cramped without much ambience. I would try it again as the menu sounded nice and it has received quite a few good reviews.

This review is for Bugzies Seafood Restaurant, Broadbeach QLD

I received a voucher for Bugzies for christmas for their seafood platter with a bottle of wine. It was great sized platter with a good selection of both hot and cold seafood and a decent bottle of wine. It was by no means fantastic or the best seafood I have had but it was nice and no real faults. I like the fact that they also have a kids menu for under 5s as I often find that kids menus or only for kids under 12 and they can be expensive for the amount of food my daughter will eat. Their desserts are also great and ours came with an accompanying shot of baileys.

This review is for QA Hotel, New Farm QLD

verified email - 22 Aug 2014

The QA Hotel is in a great spot in New Farm and is good fun to go to for a drink and a bet. They have a decent sized TAB area and serve up some good quality pub grub like steak burgers and steaks. They also quite regularly do bar snacks of an afternoon which I am a massive fan of! Another good little pointer is they have a car park so if you want to stop in quickly and then do some shopping on James St it is much easier to park here.

This review is for Cru Bar & Cellar, Fortitude Valley QLD

verified email - 22 Aug 2014

Cru bar is a great little spot in James St for some drinks and food. It has a great wine list and cocktail list and serves up good quality food, however the portion sizes can at times be a bit small for the price you are paying. The one disappointment which couldn't really be helped when we visited is we were sat near some noisy small children when we were on a date away from our kids.
