I joined WOMO a while ago. I couldn't fault it until I apparently made a comment I wasn't supposed to, and they took 50 points from my account. I would have loved to know why, as I try to be constructive with my reviews and comments. Communication is somewhat lacking between the site and the customer. I also now need an extra 1000 points before I get a voucher. I have checked other peoples reviews before hiring someone, so its still a good way to get information about the best tradies.

Yeah I only just recently joined, and I am already close to getting a reward. The reviews of my locals are really interesting and often genuinely reflect how I also feel about them. Have found out about afew places that I am now gonna try as well

Word of Mouth is a great way to find new places to try out and to review ones you have tried. It doesn't take you long and is fun and interesting to see other peoples opinions about the things you love. The great thing is they give you rewards as well!

Resolution Fitness for Life is in it's "Trial" period with WOMO, but OMG :-) the experience so far has been EXCELLENT, very professional! It's early days for us but we look forward achieving great success by using WOMO. For all other business considering a review system, get on board and see for yourself!

The idea of the site is great. Using the mobile site unfortunately is not a great experience. Needed to type in my review twice and couldn't get through to the end to submit it - the first time I went to another site (in another Safari window on my phone) to check some details of the business I was reviewing, then coming back to the original window the page auto reloaded and lost my whole review. Second go - after writing my review the "done" toolbar kept popping up and when trying to get back into the text i'd typed in, it would not let me go further down than half way - seemed to have scrolling issues.

Ended up logging onto the full website on my laptop to give it a third go. Logged in with Facebook - it hadn't sent an email to my email address for verification (for some reason, it didn't capture it from Facebook - so went back through the account to add my email & verify). Also when you try to add a mobile number, you start typing and every number typed in displays an error stating 'someone else is already registered with a mobile number "04" it needs to be a unique number" as everyone in Australia has a mobile number starting with 04.

Finding the business I was reviewing was easy from the home page however if you try to find a business on other pages you must put a location in (you cannot delete the location, it will return with an error message), and this business didn't have a specific location so you need to go back to the home page in order to do a general search. Not quite the easiest site to use and navigate through on web and mobile compared with other review sites, and people may just give up on reviewing if it's too difficult. A lot of bugs to fix.

I have just tested the issues/"bugs" you have mentioned, but unfortunately some of them I have not been able to replicate from our end.

You can't get better value than another person's real life experience with a business. I found this site a few months ago and find it invaluable when looking for new business/services that I have never used. Sure I have googled and yellow pages searched but you never really know if this business/service will be good or bite you in the butt. Thanks to WOMO I have found several new businesses in my area and have found the reviews reliable and accurate. The site's search engine can be a bit hit and miss but overall I love the site and appreciate your member's reviews.

great way to give your opinion on local eateries and stores and to find out the best places to go and to get things done. It is often hard to know where to go and who is the best for things but womo makes that easy, a few clicks and i can find recommendations on who to go to for odd jobs and the best thai, to who to avoid for poor service or value. I have used womo to find places to obtain services as well as posting reviews and the community atmosphere is good too. I would suggest they have a venting forum as we often want to vent about poor services but don't get the chance to. Only downside is the communication around points expiring and of special deals on points... you never know when you can earn bonus points (like who knew about the 7-day review bonus?) also, my points have started to expire as i am not a regular going-out person and there was no notice on this, i would have used them before they expired if i was told about them expiring. an email would have been nice.

Hi there Womo, I'm back from a fortunately lengthly overseas jaunt and ready to review again - but I arrived sadly back to my account to see all my points had expired. I didn't realise they would - I'm sure it's in the T&C's I just didn't realise it - and so was disappointed to see the points gone. I only had enough for one $20 voucher, which was no big deal -but it is kind of de-motivating to see your hard-reviewed points gone. Any chance of scrapping the points expiry thing or making the time period like a year or something?

I also got scaled back to have -50 points (minus 50)! So I have to get a review under my belt to even get back in the black, which is again a bit of a bugger.

The new website looks nice, more modern and keeping up with the internets trendwise. I would like to be able to search for businesses near me without being laser-focussed. For example, I wanted to look up the recent womo reviews for restaurants near my suburb; but when I try to drill down I have to choose whether I'm looking for chinese/japanese/greek/argentinian etc etc etc. I run a website myself so I can only imagine how difficult coding is, but if you can get a bit more flexibility in searching you might find more punters using womo as the starting search engine for searches, rather than landing here via the Google.

I too have just got back on after some time away only to discover heaps of my points removed due to 'expiry'.Very disappointing & off putting. Now I need to consider if it's even worth the trouble & time sharing reviews.

@MillyWonker & @Carolinet1: I'm on the same boat, try losing 4000 points without even claiming anything before. Disappointing.
Such a sham that I'm seeing some reviewers reviewing on WOMO as if it's their full time job (maybe, stay home mums? uni kids?) SERIOUSLY how could you earn 60000 points in 2 months. Then you have people who give genuine reviews who got their points taken away... I'm sorry but this system has to be changed because this is very off putting and I'm not too sure if this is worth the trouble and time sharing my reviews no more.
