My friends asked me to join WOMO and so I did and I have had fun looking up all the places I have been and letting the company's know my thought and we get rewards that we can use like I love to read so I get iTunes vouchers to buy online books so thanks guys

I started with Womo when a business I used asked me to review them, and I actually really enjoy reviewing business's I visit. I think this is a great website and I really do think I would keep using it and adding my reviews even if I didn't get rewards. I have only had one case I found rather perplexing, when I wrote a review about a 2 hatted restaurant, where I wrote an honest review, and do not feel I was offensive or nasty in anyway, yet WOMO originally refused to publish it. I have checked again (quite some time later) and it is now published. I must say I was annoyed for a time, couldn't understand why they held it back. I am not in an opposing business or anything. But now that they have published it I can see they do take care to ensure that reviews are "honest". So.. back in my good books WOMO :-)

I am so glad that I found this site, reading the reviews is very insightful and I find now that if I need a service done I head to this site key in what im looking for example lawn mowing,beauty therapy, dentist etc and read the reviews that other people have posted about there experience, most reviews are very helpful in choosing the right company for your needs, also I love the rewards program. It is a great way to give a great review if a business you have been to have given you excellent service, thanks womo and keep up the great work

I love the WOMO site, as a way of finding particular types of businesses and reading what other people think of them. It's great for small businesses to get their name out there, and good to be able to share our good & bad experiences of the businesses we review.

Until recently, I think that most people used the site with these points in mind, and viewed the gift cards as a lovely bonus for sharing their opinions.

I know for a fact that over the past few months, some people were taking advantage of the WOMO system to use it simply to get free gift cards. It was publicized on several FaceBook Free Sample pages as a way to get gift cards, with people boasting about getting 6 cards in a week, etc.

And I would imagine that was to a large extent why the recent changes to the WOMO points system was implemented. It's such a shame that selfish people with only their own interests at heart can spoil things for honest folk. WOMO isn't a bottomless pit of money, so the system had to change. Shame on the "dishonest" people who posted reviews only to get gift cards, because your greed has impacted on a lot of genuine users of the site.

WOMO is still my first port-of-call when I'm looking for a particular business, and I do love to share my experiences when using small businesses, especially if the business goes out of their way to give good service. I do have problems with sharing bad experiences, but to date I've been fortunate in not using a business that has been so unpleasant that I thought "never again".

I recommend WOMO to all my friends and family, even if they only want to use it to find businesses, and not to personally review them. Keep up the good work, WOMO team, as there are an awful lot of us out here who really do appreciate the site.

I have to agree with some of the other reviews I have read. I think this site will get a lot of fake reviews, just so people will get free gift vouchers. although, nobody can complain with getting something for free for just writing a simple review? I know I wont complain. even an extra $20 a month would get me out greatly. I think this site is a good idea to help those small businesses get a lot more customers.

So i have ordered my first gift voucher and have been pleased, but have noticed changes since I first signed up. You need more points for a gift voucher 500 more for an itunes or 1000 more for a $20 gift voucher.
My thoughts, may find that some fake reviews will be entered to get more points faster. Way of the world i think

Discovering this website has made my decisions on places easier to make. My husband and I love to try new places and with this great website been able to find new places to try and some to avoid, not only that I have been able to put my opinion of places out there, which I love cause when a business does me wrong/or given me great service I love to rave on. I think sometimes my friends think I am a salesperson for places sometimes.

just started using this, seen other people like it, easy simple to work great way to make a little bit in money gift cards for hardly no work. great for the small time bussiness as well

I love WOMO, don't get me wrong, but is anyone else disappointed in the recent changes to the WOMO rules? No longer receiving points for being the first to review a business, needing more points to redeem, points now having an expiry date. The expiry date of points isn't a good thing, IMO, because it forces you to post more reviews to reach that 3000 mark (and I don't see anywhere that actually tells you when your points are about to expire?), so you might see an influx of phony reviews from people struggling to hit the redemption mark before their points expire.
