I had a distinctly nasty review left by a customer who wanted a full refund and thought they could bully me into doing so. Word Of Mouth Online gladly published this without having any idea if it was true. I can have this reviewed if I'm a paying customer only. They advise my details are freely available in the public domain and reviewers can publish whatever they like on their website. Not many businesses in the world stoop so low as to publish vitriolic reviews for money.........womo u asked you to remove my business from your site and you told me tough luck. You have no integrity offering me alternative measures only if I am a paying customer. Well done As for the price button? I got to be kicked in the head by your reviewer for nothing

First of all we want to apologise that you have had a negative experience with WOMO. We are committed to providing stellar customer service so this isn't what we like to hear. Secondly, we believe that if a customer has a negative experience with a business, it is their right to be able to express that opinion on our site.

WOMO acts as an impartial middle ground between the business and the customer, and as such we dont take sides. Please note that we do not retract reviews based on the details or facts of the review as I'm sure you can understand that most of the time it is the customers word against the business. As long as the review abides by our Fair Play Policy, we believe the customer has the right to voice their honest experience.

A negative review can actually be seen as an opportunity to enhance the credibility of your profile. Customers understand that no business is perfect, and that sometimes not everything goes 100 percent to plan. Responding to a review in a professional, problem-solving manner will allow future customers to see that you actually do take this feedback on board and are committed to providing great customer service.

Furthermore, WOMO is an online directory which exists to benefit the public interest, all the information we have on our website about businesses is available on the public domain or was provided by the businesses themselves - as such we do not require permission to list this information on our website.

Lastly, to clarify, while it is true that businesses subscribed to our Happy Customers Program do have access to our Problem Resolution Process, we dont receive money from any users or business owners in exchange for the publication or removal of any reviews, whether positive or negative.

The thing that stands out about WOMO is your ability to add businesses to the site. I've recently moved to a new estate and have been trying the local restaurants and shops. Its been great being able to add the new local shop that opened up and being able to share my experience with people. I always like to look at reviews before going somewhere.
