Not bagging womo, but just a reminder Michelle, remember to redeem your points not too long after they accrue as they do expire! I'm planning to redeem as soon as I hit the required points to avoid missing out again.

Soooo disappointed to find out that now I have to reach 3000 points to get a reward......used to be 2000.. oh woe is me .. when will I ever get my reward!

Somehow I have lost 1500 points overnight!!!! Im over it! Im not playing this game anymore! Had 2000 . complained that rewards are now minimum 3000 .,,check my points ..1500 goooone!!!

Oh. I just got back to Womo after a posting O/S to see my points had expired... and now I see that it's gone up to 3000 for a reward, d'oh! Back to the ol' drawing board to see if it's worth my time or not now to do reviews...though I do love my cathartic womoing, I'll be sad to not continue.... :(

What an innovative site. I really don't know how I've survived so long without this site. Everyone should be using it. It's so important to find the right trades people, the right businesses and the right places to go and use. I've discovered many new places and trades to use and in return I've also enjoyed passing on my good fortune when I've found someone good and wanted to recommend them. To the organisers of WOMO, well done, it's appreciated and also a special thankyou to Scarlett for helping answer all my questions when I first joined. I'm doing my bit to spread the good word about WOMO's benefits and hope all the users join me too.

I have worked out that there is no way I can make enough points to generate a reward in 3 months before they expire so I m not even going to try , but I do come to this site when looking for a business with good feedback so I do get something out of it. .. shame about the rewards.

Hi DonaS, I have to disagree with you on generating points, it's perhaps easier than you think. Reviews are 100 points, 150 if you facebook them, 250 Points if they are new business added. Don't forget that you also get 30 points per day by commenting on business. If you can't add a review think about the importance of adding a comment to a business or a restaurant you've used, 30 days of 30 points = 900 points multiply that by 2 months that's 1800 points. You could have got yourself an itunes card at 1500 points for your troubles without even adding one review and still providing valuable comments which are in my book very important. I count on some of the comments I read on here to help me. Remember points expire 3 months from the point you earn them (as far as I know) so going by how it works, yes you can earn points and redeem a reward in time. I have no affiliation with WOMO other than enjoying being a normal everyday user just like you. I've earnt plenty of rewards and enjoyed contributing. Don't give up on it, you can definitely earn a reward if that's what you want.

I enjoy reviewing businesses on WOMO. Their website is so easy to use and the customer service is excellent, prompt and efficient. The rewards program by WOMO is great. If you are looking for a great program to review businesses, consider WOMO.

I often base my decisions on which business to use based on the reviews I read on WOMO and have found them to be pretty accurate and reliable. I have also been writing reviews for quite some time. Recently, I have been disappointed that no points are accrued for reviews on any business in the shopping/hobbies category. Also, the points required for a $20 voucher have increased from 2000 to 3000 points which is a huge jump and I do not think this is reasonable.

I love WOMO, I have really found it enjoyable reviewing and commenting on companies. I enjoy leaving a WOMO card each time I go to a business to let them know I found them on WOMO and that I will be reviewing them. I found WOMO really helpful when I planned a family trip to Melbourne. They had to increase the points I believe, because people were being very dishonest - a particular Facebook Sample site showed off how many gift cards you can get in a matter of days - she posted a picture of her gift cards and said she had $200 worth, and then went on to tell everyone how to get the most our of WOMO. I believe this is partly the reason for the changes. Also, the gift cards are an added bonus for reviewing!

Hi Trekka10 - Thank you for taking the time to give us your thoughts on WOMO. We understand your frustrations with not being awarded points for any business in the Shopping & Hobbies category. The reason for this is that we find with shopping and hobbies businesses, more commonly you tend to be buying just a product, and there is not a large customer service element involved. Here at WOMO we really want to be able to share experiences about the services you receive from small business, and that is why the Member Rewards Program is set up to reward reviews for businesses that are in the services sector. In regard to the change in points, this was not a decision we made lightly, but with a lot of deliberation, we came up with a rewards program we still feel is fair and achievable.

I decided to write this review to highlight a significant flaw in womo policy. I had a cleaner be very rude to me via sms and then not show up. After I reviewed the cleaner, womo contacted me and said that unfortunately because I did not end up being a paying customer I could not review the service as this was womo policy. I also had a mobile hairdresser not show up even after confirming with me the day before, again via sms-so I had proof. I could not rate the hairdresser on womo because I was not a paying customer even though this business really put a dampener on my wedding anniversary plans. I think womo users would appreciate knowing about businesses that are 'no shows' and I hope womo management can address this policy which currently stops customers reviewing services that don't show up. I think that if a customer has proof of a booking they should be allowed to review the business only in the event of that business not showing up for the appointment. Other than this small loop-hole in policy, the womo team are fantastic, friendly and prompt! Womo is a great site and I wouldn't be without it! Well done womo (:

I agree with you. Not showing up is a lack of customer service and people should be aware of these businesses. I have experienced this myself, but did not try to review as I new I could not. Hopefully they will change their policy.

I wondered about that recently as well after a bad experience kept me from completing using a business. It may have helped others to know the reasons for not using a service and encouraged people to look for alternatives. I do understand the reasoning WOMO has; just nice if this could be another feature offered.

I have been rating businesses and claimed my points and received an iTunes voucher for $10.
I received an email stating I had to validate my adress and mobile number, and did so. I had a reply confirming my voucher was in the post. I received it this morning.
Happy with the service - if only other places were as fantastic!

Great way to find what you want and get other peoples opinions on all the places around the country.
