I stayed at this hotel recently as part of a work conference, and have to say I was quite disappointed by the rooms.
For a four star hotel, it felt more like it was bordering 3 stars.

The room felt like it was definitely in the "no frills" category, and the two single beds, pushed together to make a king created a very obvious and uncomfortable bulge where they met in the middle.

The rooms very quite plain and my toilet moved when I sat on it. Did not have a shower, so not sure about how the pressure was.

The reception area is an odd layout, with no real room to queue and no information as to where you should be standing if you made one.

Breakfast, again, quite a strange location. You have to walk down two flights of stairs to a lower level then walk down a carpeted corridor. It was quite ill-placed and inconvenient to be honest.

Would not consider returning to this property unless it had a total refurb.

Had a private function here last week and was extremely impressed by both the food and the service.

Japanese-fusion with Australian contemporary food. Not what I expected...BETTER!

Had the spicy calamari which was amazing. Followed by the sirloin, which I was very happy with.

Get the chocolate bounty for dessert. You will not regret it!

Also had some delicious mocktails that the staff make up for me. Not sure what was in them, but they were fantastic.

I will return!

Had dinner with friends here, as I have heard many people talk about how great it was.

We had a booking for 6pm, and upon entering, there was no one else in there, which made for terrible atmosphere, and also there was no music playing at all, so we felt quite awkward and self aware that everything we said could be heard.

There was no music the entire time we were there, which made it even worse when other guests finally arrived.

My friends ordered entree's and we just ordered two mains to share.

We ordered a whole Tandoori and Butter chicken.

The butter chicken didn't taste anything like Butter chicken, though having said that, it wasn't terrible, just unexpected. It tasted more like an Italian tomato sauce than Indian food.

Tandoori chicken was delicious. Very nice flavours.
We ordered Riata, naan and rice, all which came out very nice.

Had a great lunch here recently with my family. Have always seen this place super packed, so decided to try it out.

Calamari was amazing as a starter that we all shared.

I had the seafood pasta for the main, which did come advertised as with chilli and garlic, however it seemed like it was a mistake, as there was an outrageous amount of chilli and most people would have taken it back. My sister and mother who are massive fans of chilli in their food even thought it was far too much chilli.

I didn't say anything, or take it back, because I was enjoying the pasta and it would have taken too long to replace, so I just sucked it up. It would have been a lot more enjoyable had there not been so much chilli in there though, so if you are thinking of coming here for the seafood pasta, just make sure there don't use too much, or you may lose feeling in your mouth for several hours...

My husband's steak looked amazing, and he really enjoyed it. Overall this place is quite pricey. Not cheap, but good quality stuff.

We read some good reviews about this place, and as it is just around the corner, we decided to take a look.

First of all, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess and shown to a lovely table next to a stain-glass window.

We were given menus and the service was constant without being annoying. We ordered an entrée of the scallops, and a cold seafood plate. When the food arrived, we were sure we had over-ordered.

The size of the entrees were not only generous but absolutely delicious! The scallops were cooked to perfection. The seafood was all very fresh and tasty. For mains, we ordered 2 steaks, one with seafood sauce and one with pepper. I was expecting for the price that they would be tiny and unsubstantial, but when they arrived at our table, the meal was massive, and came with chips and a salad. We had also ordered a side of the cauliflower and cheese (which was amazing too!) but by this stage we had a lot of food in front of us.

Throughout the meal we were asked if everything was ok, and we had a lovely chat to one of the staff members, who was genuinely nice and sweet and not the normal fake nice that you often get in restaurants. She had a good laugh with us and could see we were struggling to finish the meals.

My partner polished off the rest of my enormous steak, (which was cooked to perfection and overall a brilliant cut of meat without fat) and we felt like we had just eaten like kings. A similar meal package in the city would have easily cost double the amount we paid ($29.50 per steak is incredible value) and would easily have been half the size of these meals also.

This is honestly the best restaurant we have eaten at outside of the city, which seems to have been hidden to us in plain sight. Just look for the blue building with the gigantic lobster/crayfish sticking out the front.

You will not regret having a meal here. We highly recommend this place.

We have eaten at this place at least 30 times now, and I have never been disappointed with the food. The portion sizes are outrageous, but this is why we come here, so we can either share a meal, or so that we have lunch ready to go for the next day.

I usually have the same thing when I come here, which is the Pollo Avocado, which is Two juicy chicken breasts on a bed of veggies (usually at least accompanied by 7 different veggies) or salad, and covered with two baked avocado halves and a lovely creamy white wine sauce. It is ALWAYS great. Not only is always great, but it is always packed too, and for $18.90, for a meal that will fill two people up, that is amazing value these days.

The waiting service is a little slow due to the size of the place and after you have been given your food it takes a while to get anyone's attention again, but we don't come for the service, we come for the food, and the food is always great!

I have lunch with work colleagues here all the time because it's close to work and doesn't take long to get what you order. I usually get the Chicken Tikka which comes with a nice fresh salad and rice and I recommend getting it with Riata.

This place is always super busy, but the service is fast and the staff are lovely and tentative. Highly recommend!

We attended an end of year work Christmas party at Arabesque last night and the food was amazing.

The service from start to finish was excellent, with the staff being very helpful and accomodating to my needs.

We shares what seemed like an endless amount of Entrees, including my favourite, the eggplant one, and then when the mains came out we all had our hands on our stomachs hoping we could fit it all in. This food was lovely and the flavours were delicious.

The dessert we all had was Halva Ice cream and small baclava-esque treats and home made turkish delights.
Highly recommended. This was a great feed!

Just before our dessert, a belly dancer made her entrance into the room and the music was turned up. Very nice addition to the night.

This is my all time favourite place to eat lunch in Sorrento.

Every meal I have had, wether it was a steak or a sizzling pasta dish has been exceptional, and inspired me to use some of the ideas from these dishes in my own at home.

Spanish and Italian influence in the menu and cooking style. Very rustic interior with funky art for sale on the walls. Some dishes are served in the pan, and the meals don't cost the earth.

Highly recommended for anyone passing by and wanting some lovely food.

Hint: If you love seafood, go for either the Prawn entree or the seasonal seafood dish they are serving. It is all super fresh!

I have been to Von's about 5 or 6 times in total, and I've never had a bad meal. I enjoy the deals the hosts try to break with you to get you in there restaurants, and Von's usually has the meals and the price that is right. We usually get the 2 courses and a beverage for $29.50 deal. They will throw in more if you look like you're about to walk away.

The food is quick, the service is good for such a busy spot, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. An excellent place to come for a feed on a Friday night and soak up the city vibe.
