Serves pretty decent mansaf and other food. This is where you have to go in Melbourne for shisha. Good music too.

Service was good, greeted at the door. Given a nice table. A bit overstated, not sure I would go there on the weekend. I went mid-week. It was perfect for me and my lady.
Food was delicious, and we will be back!

The lamb borek with pomegranate for entrée was so delicious as was the quail but the portion for the mixed grill was disgusting. SO not worth the price! Terribly bland and tough. Also our second main was over 40 minutes late coming out because apparently they burnt it and had to make another.
Good starters but sadly not good enough to come back again.

I don't normally review a business twice, but in this case I'm willing to make an exception! It has been a couple of years since I've been to Arabesque (although not for lack of wanting!) but when I had to plan my husband's 40th birthday, I thought a Middle Eastern banquet would be perfect. I contacted them and spoke to Ergun who was so polite and professional. He answered all of my (many!) questions. I received a text message confirmation of my booking and I felt really confident that everything would run smoothly!

We had the Pasha banquet for 17 adults, which comes with lots of different types of meze to start with (three dips with fresh bread, and lots of other meat and vegetarian dishes) then three mains (we had the chicken, fish and lamb - all were fantastic!) followed by baklava, turkish delight, and mint tea/turkish coffee for dessert.

The restaurant itself has gorgeous, Middle Eastern-inspired decor (subtle, not at all tacky!) and a really relaxing ambience. The staff were SO helpful and polite and courteous the whole night. The food and drinks came out in a timely fashion (despite having such a large number of people AND the restaurant was quite busy) and there was SO MUCH FOOD we were bursting from the seams (in a good way!) Everything tasted FANTASTIC and everyone agreed that they'd definitely be back.

All in all, another fantastic experience. We are definitely not going to leave it so long in-between visits next time!

Hi Sonieee, Yet another well written and detailed review. We will look forward to checking them out sometime in the future. Many Thanks, Reeces

We attended an end of year work Christmas party at Arabesque last night and the food was amazing.

The service from start to finish was excellent, with the staff being very helpful and accomodating to my needs.

We shares what seemed like an endless amount of Entrees, including my favourite, the eggplant one, and then when the mains came out we all had our hands on our stomachs hoping we could fit it all in. This food was lovely and the flavours were delicious.

The dessert we all had was Halva Ice cream and small baclava-esque treats and home made turkish delights.
Highly recommended. This was a great feed!

Just before our dessert, a belly dancer made her entrance into the room and the music was turned up. Very nice addition to the night.

Was a bit worried that I wouldn't like the food, but I was absolutely blown away. Ordered a banquet and everything was delicious. Went on a tues night and was still quite busy.
Turkish delight was the best I've ever had and the icecream is amazing.

Approximate cost: $45

Went to Arabesque with a friend because we were looking to try something a bit different. It was our first time at a Middle Eastern restaurant and I'd definitely go back. Had the chicken and rice and the chicken was cooked very well - not dry at all. Found the rice to be a bit firm or "al dente", which is not the way I'm used to eating rice... The highlight of the night was the Halva ice-cream! My friend and I decided to share a bowl - which I immediately ended up regretting because I could have eaten it all myself! Will be back for more ice-cream!

Approximate cost: $25

My husband and I had a night with no kids so decided to go out for dinner. I'd seen the reviews for Arabesque and thought we'd give them a try. They're a bit off Glen Huntly Rd so would never have stumbled upon them otherwise. We decided to go for the banquet as we wanted a bit of everything. The food was good and we had a great time. The service was very in tune with where we were up to and were there when we needed them and left us in peace the rest of the time. Loved sampling the baclava, turkish delight, and all of the savoury treats that I don't eat frequently. Will be back for sure.

I visited Arabesque with my husband last Friday night. We had a really lovely experience from start to finish. The staff were friendly and attentive (without being overbearing) and the atmosphere was intimate, welcoming and comfortable - we never felt rushed at any point during the meal. We ordered the banquet menu and really enjoyed it. There was so much food! It started with a platter of different dips, tabbouleh and bread, then a mixed platter of entrees. By this point we were already stuffed, but managed to find room for the delicious mains. Moroccon mint tea, turkish coffee and some turkish delight and baklava were the perfect finish to the meal. The prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity of the meal. We really enjoyed the whole experience and look forward to coming back in the future!

Approximate cost: $45 per person for the banquet

Great review Sonieee. I'm hoping to visit Arabesque this week. Any recommendations on the main?

Thanks ohthee! Pick the banquet if you find it hard to decide on menu items because you get a bit of everything. Otherwise, the Chicken Chermoula was REALLY yummy (and very filling...!) I've also heard that the Halva ice cream is good although I didn't get a chance to try it - will have to go again!

Tasty food at a great price. We love middle eastern cuisine and were recommended to go here from a friend as it is local to us and BYO. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food very tasty.
