This restaurant is primely located on the port/wharf area in Cairns, which means you get a lovely view when you sit down to eat and drink.

Meals felt a little lacklustre if I am being honest, however the atmosphere of the place and the service made for a better dining experience in general.

We have dined at Zio's twice now and each time the food has been exceptional and we wonder why it isn't on more "must do" lists. The resurant itself has a cozy, homely feel to it, but the food and the service are fine dining at its best.

Meals are modern and delicious with clearly an excellent chef at the helm. My eye fillet was just to die for.

Highly recommend that Chocolate Souffle. The aesthetics alone will make you want to break out your phone camera and brag it to the world. Yum!

Excellent spot for a pre-theatre meal, or to just relax with a casual dinner with friends. Great atmosphere and within walking distance to the Arts Centre, Malthouse Theatre and Southbank Theatre. Great good and high quality ingredients make it hard to fault. Will be back next time for a pre or post theatre meal.

Brilliant lunch! Celebrated my 30th birthday with my mother and sister and we all enjoyed our 3 courses, Staff were friendly and attentive and the meals come out looking so good that you feel bad destroying the art - but you should because the food here is very good. Considering it is hidden away in the gorgeous hills of the Mornington Peninsula, the meals can afford to be higher (noticed some other negative feedback about the costs), because it is all locally sourced and expertly crafted for us in house. Can't wait to head back!

Had a lovely meal at Pavilion last night with my mother.

Service was fantastic, and food was of a high quality.

Serving sizes were very generous which is refreshing.

Would recommend for a special occasion.

Husband and I had a fantastic dinner at Nuevo57 on our recent stay at Hilton South Wharf. The staff were great and the food was fresh, clean and very well prepared. Only had mains, but looking forward to going back for dessert next time too as they all sounded delicious!

This is probably one of the worst McDonalds I have ever been to. Unfortunately every time I decide to have something bad and go here to fetch something, I get the same slow service. It is much worse when you decide to walk in the door instead of using the drive thru. It is like only trainees are ever working and machines are usually broken (the ice cream machine has been broken on two separate occassions) and the staff don't really know what they are doing beside talking to each other and ignoring waiting customers.

I now avoid this place.

What can I say beside WOW. Lots so it seems...

So I decided to take my husband to this DOC, as I had been to the Mornington sister restaurant previously without him. We just managed to score ourselves a table, and were handed menus quite quickly.
We decided on sharing a cold meat platter with hand torn buffalo mozerella ball - oh my lordy. The deliciousness of that mozerella ball will make you instantly forget how much you paid for it, and make you question your decision to only order one...to share. We managed to keep some of our cold meat and mozerella for extras on our pizza (sneaky little tip), and we ordered a basic mozerella, tomato and fresh basil pizza. Now, as a wife of a guy who doesn't hand out food compliments too often (which makes me paranoid...), he claimed that this was THE best pizza he has ever had. Big call, I know, but he was dead right. It was incredible. The basics on the pizza really draw out the flavours in the sauce and the marriage of the basil, cheese and tomato is a match made in heaven. The only thing that made this better was a sprinke of the left over prosiccuto I had saved and a small portion of the fresh buffalo mozerella. Food heaven.

I would be back here weekly if it wasn't so far to drive. Probably for the best though :)

You really must experience this place, and get here early to avoid disappointment of not getting in because the place is perma-packed!

I love, love, love the pizza here! When you come to this place, it is like you are stepping into a Pizzeria anywhere in Italy. The pizza is made the "real" and "traditional" way, that hasn't been corrupted by the "more is more" idea that most Australian pizza places live by.

What you will find is quality, fresh ingredients (you can see them making it all, due to the open play design of the kitchen area). You will be served by actual fresh-off-the-boat Italian men (or women, I'm sure they have ladies too), and the whole place will look and smell like an Italian pizzeria.

I would recommend a cold meat platter to share, and a pizza to share, as they are large. There isn't much on their pizza's which means you will be able to taste what there is - which will leave you very happy indeed.

For a mere "bistro", this place packs a punch. From the moment you walk through the doors, you are greeted with a smile and overly accommodating staff that genuinely seem happy with friendliness that doesn't feel forced.
The menu is straightforward, good value for money, and straight off the bat, you have a dinner roll and butter waiting for you when you sit down, which is free (not like some places that try and charge you for the bread!).
This place seems to attract the older generation, but it is probably for that reason that things are priced well, and the staff and so sweet to everyone.
The last time we went, my husband ordered the "Ultimate Surf & Turf" which was a special of the night, and it took 3 runs for the waitress to deliver it all. That epic adventure was only $37, and it was also the most expensive thing on the menu, but very good value for money for what you got.
I am a sucker for the roast of the day, so this is my default when I come here, but you can choose whatever sides you like and nothing is too much trouble. When I asked for more gravey, they were not light on, and I was delivered a nice gravey boat for my extra sauce at no cost (again, some restaurants like to charge you a little extra).

Highly recommend this place if you want a good pub meal - no frills, but plenty of good food, smiling faces and a real community feel. Big thumbs up from me.
