I ws after a particular size for a pair of shorts I had seen at the North Lakes store, so rung Chermside store to see if they had in stock. The shop assistant who took my call. Ouldn't have bbe more pleasant and helpful if she tried. She put a pair aside for me and asked if I could pick up from Laybuy

When I arrived at the store a few hours later. I was blown away by the abundance of merchandise they have in the store, as was my husband. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay to look at everything in the store, as we didn't have time, but will return in a couple of days time to have a better look around.

This has to be the best Tsrget store on the north side of Brisbane!

This review is for Morgans Seafood, Scarborough QLD

Even though we live just down the road from this place, we rarely buy seafood from here as in the past I have found it so expensive. I decided to give it another shot, as I wanted to cook a special Birthday dinner for my husband. We bought our fish on a Saturday morning and got served straight away which is quite unusual. In the past we have had to wait for up to 20 minutes to get served. I felt the price of the fish on display was outrageous, but I had committed to cooking something special so paid it, but it will be awhile until I go back there again. I must admit I do like the set up of how they display the seafood and the range they have. They have any type of seafood for sale you can imagine including sushi, lobster and whole fish. I just don't think it's affordable for the weekly buy,

Approximate cost: $60

This review is for Scarborough Newsagency, Scarborough QLD

This is a very small newagency, but they do stock alot of magazines and greeting cards. We use them for delivery of our newspaper and have never had no complaints with the service they offer. The shop is a little daggy though, and could do with a revamp. They also sell icecreams and drinks which would be handy for people visiting Scarborough Park directly across the road.

This review is for Boost Juice Bar, North Lakes QLD

verified email - 09 Oct 2012

I bought a pineapple juice from this Boost without enquiring about the cost and could not believe how expensive it was. I realise that it was made from fresh pinepple, but $5 for a 200 ml cup is abit rich. He staff are friendly and work efficiently, but I think I'll just settle for a store bought bottled juice next time!

This review is for Tony's Fruit & Veg, Scarborough QLD

verified email - 08 Oct 2012

I thought I'd give this fruit shop a try as I'd driven past and seen signs forsoe really good specials and likectosipport local businesses when possible. Unfortunately, everything that wasn't on special was super expensive, although I do admit the quality was excellent. As someone previously said, I had to wait awhile for someone to come to counter. I think the owners live on the premises and they rely on hearing someone come in the door before they come to serve. Nice clean shop, but wouldn't shop here for anything other than their specials.

This review is for Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, Tamborine Mountain QLD

verified email - 08 Oct 2012

Like the other people who have reviewed this skywalk, I was really disappointed with what you got for your money. The beginning of the walk has that real WOW factor because of the suspended bridge way above the rainforest below, but that's about as good as it gets! I thought the walk would have led to something special, but sadly it didn't. A walk around Kondallila Falls in Montville is so much nicer, and it's free. Oh well! You live and learn.

Approximate cost: $40 for 2 adults

This review is for Warburton's Meats, Lawnton QLD

verified email - 07 Oct 2012

I've been getting my meat from the Carseldine store for many years, and was disappointed when they had run out of the chicken breast they had on special. The lovely butcher that served me rang the Lawnton store and asked them to put aside 8kg aside for me. The butcher that served me at Lawnton was as friendly as the one at Carseldine. The shop is clean and well set out, and I was very impressed that they open until 5 on a Sunday. Will definitely be coming back here again!

Approximate cost: $60

This review is for Mount Tamborine Vineyard & Winery, Tamborine Mountain QLD

We called into this place for a coffee last Sunday, and was really impressed with what was on offer. As well as coffee, they have a lovely range of cakes and scones. They also have an extensive lunch menu, all of which can be served with the reasonably priced wines from the winery on the premises. The place has such a lovely atmosphere, so will definitely be having lunch here next time we visit Mount Tamborine!

This review is for Bargain Central, North Lakes QLD

I like to visit this place when looking for balloons/decorations for parties. They have the best range of party gear at low prices. Must admit have not checked out everything in the store, but it is always busy no matter what time I visit!

Have popped ino this plce a few times to pick up bread rolls when going out on a Sunday. Decided to treat ourselves and buy a cake/pastry as a treat. What a mistake! There was vey little available, so settled on a cream donut, even though it wa really overpriced. It was stale, and I'm guessing was at least 2 days old. I would have assumed all donuts would be looked daily. Won't be going back!
