This review is for Thai Noodles & Rice Bar, Bentleigh VIC

I love Thai Noodle bar as they have a great range of items on their menu and the staff and very friendly. Their Tom Ka soup is delicious (spicy, coconut soup) and they always put lots of chicken in it. The mango chicken is beautiful-not too oily from being fried and comes with a mango sauce. Often I will just get takeaway but more often than not they will be able to fit you in to sit down.

Murmur is such a cool little bar that I'm glad I was shown one night. They do a great range of cocktails, and while they aren't cheap they are a good size and full of flavour. The first I had was the Caramelo Colada- it's a piña colada but with a great bit of caramel. I also had the Blackbeard which is served in a tiki mug. I loved how they poured the extra shot in a half passion fruit and set it on fire-pretty cool effect. If you love your cocktails then check this out-really cool selection.

This review is for The Spotted Dog Cafe, Bentleigh VIC

The Spotted Dog has had some management changes over the past few years but they seem to have settled on some good ones now. They offer filling an inexpensive breakfasts that are cooked just the way they should be. I enjoy their scrambled eggs the most as you are full after the eggs and thick cut toast. The service is friendly and the decor cute. Their milk shakes are good quality and size for the price and they have a big selection of items on their menu.

This review is for Dom's Bistro The Pizza Specialist, Highett VIC

Dom's is a good place to head when you know you want a good pizza, that's not too expensive and will be served quick. They offer all the regular pizzas and they taste really good. It is definitely a family restaurant early on in the night so if you are after a quiet night come later or maybe for lunch. The dessert pancakes they do are huge and really hit the spot.

This review is for World Restaurant & Bar, Southbank VIC

One of the best things at World is the wide choice of dishes that are on the menu-you are guaranteed to enjoy at least one thing. On past occasions I have had salads, pizza, pasta and a stir fry. They offer a great range of drinks-some that can be shared by a group. The service is pretty good-always friendly and they will always try to fit you in-even on a busy night. On the weekend they have live music, which really turns it into a fantastic place for a night out.

This review is for Red Corner Cafe, Cheltenham VIC

verified email - 22 Aug 2013

Red Corner Cafe is perfect for dinner before the movies as the service is pretty quick and the food not too expensive. My favourite meal is the satay chicken pizza which comes on a long Turkish style pizza base. They could be a bit more generous with the amount of chicken on top but it is very tasty and good value for the price. You can sit at the bar and watch sport on the tv or sit at the back in their restaurant style seating.

This review is for Beechworth Bakery, Echuca VIC

verified email - 22 Aug 2013

Beechworth Bakery is my highlight of going to Echuca as I can't get enough of their beesting cake! The dough is so fluffy, filled with creamy vanilla custard and topped with crunchy, honeyed almonds. I would eat one of these every day if I could. There is a fair amount of seating available but be prepared to wait during busy times as it is seriously popular.

This review is for Werribee Open Range Zoo, Werribee VIC

verified email - 22 Aug 2013

Only recently did I got to Werribee zoo and I can't believe I hadn't been sooner. The safari tour is the best part of it as some of the animal come right up to the bus. I never thought I would get that close to a giraffe and it was an amazing experience. The tour drivers were very knowledgable and explained so much about the animals and the habitat that had been created for them. Definitely bring your kids here if you think they will enjoy a more up close experience of nature.

This review is for The Sebel Pier One Sydney, Sydney NSW

I've only stayed in a handful of places in Sydney but this is by far the best I have been to. First the location is unbeatable. It is a few hundred metres from the Harbour Bridge and you get the best view of it and the city. The room we got was very cosy and felt like a cottage with the white wood panels and comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and easily found us anything we needed and helped plans our maps for the day.

This review is for Planet Cake, Balmain NSW

I was lucky enough to receive a voucher for Planet Cake and booked into their Basic 1 class. After a full day of ganaching, icing and decorating I left with a beautiful round cake with heart details. My teacher was full of knowledge and helped everyone with any issues they were having. I learnt so much from this course and have been putting it into practice at home. Paris came and had lunch with us and answered all of our questions. While it isn't cheap it is definitely worth every cent. I will be back when I'm in Sydney again!
