I have been a customer of oo.com.au for many years now. I have always found their products to be of a high quality. The service is pretty good and the value is very reasonable but I have found that some of their postage changes a little excessive.

The will bombard you with daily emails unless you change the option to receive fewer emails. (i.e weekly news letters as opposed to daily)

If you take advantage of the free postage deals they have it's a good time to buy! They will offer you deals when you sign up to the newsletter for your birthday or over Christmas. But you must be sure to read the fine print most cases you have to spend $75 to save $15.

You also have to be aware that the "You Save" prices on oo.com.au tend to be some what exaggerated.. I have done price comparisons with other sites trying to get the best deals and I've yet to see the RRP on any of the items anywhere else...

All that a side the quality is always good, service is pretty good too I've had to call in a warranty on a faulty product and found the service was good. Value is generally good just keep an eye on the postage charges. Postage is always prompt and with a wide of items your sure to find something which suits your needs!

I have had many dealings with Fishpond.com.au many good and many bad. I have began to wonder if the low prices are worth the wait, but I am patient and if you order in advance than it's not such a big deal.

Most of the items do come from overseas suppliers so it can takes weeks to receive your order. I have found that most items take 4-6 weeks on average and the estimated delivery time is almost always wrong. Than you have to wait another 10 days before you can lodge a claim though in this time your order is usually received.

I ordered 2 books before Christmas (5th Dec) also with the promised delivery before Christmas it's now the 29th and I've still not got my books... Yet I was expecting this even with the promised of delivery before Christmas. It's not really fishpond's fault as Australia does have the second maybe to China's postal system not to mention everything getting stuck in customs... So I recommend ordering in advance if you want items for gifts.

I have always found the value to be excellent, they have a cheaper than amazon guarantee and if you pay more they will credit you the difference plus 10%. I have compared prices with many other sites and always found fishpond to be cheaper they do after all have free postage so maybe you get what you pay for in that respect.

There customer service is not brilliant, they don't always answer emails directly... but I did order a monopoly board game as a Christmas present it arrived within the allotted time but it was damaged, I was able to quickly return the item for an exchange and was quiet surprised when it only took a couple of weeks to receive the replacement. Which was in perfect condition.

Quality is about what you would expect if buying in store, Service is pretty lousy but it's generally no concern as there is usually no need to contact them. Value you exceptional who can knock back free postage but this does mean a wait... Over all I think fishpond is a great company there is just some room for improvement.

At first I was a little apprehensive at buying "live fish" online... But they did guarantee they would be delivered "live" so we thought we would give it a shot.

We ordered 2 fish, nothing to fancy or exotic just a Ryukin and a Black Moar. The order was processed quickly and was soon on it's way.

My only disappointment was with the delivery. I had been keeping an eye on the tracking I was sent so I would know when to expect the fish. I checked the tracking and it said "delivered" I had been home all day and no one had knocked on the door. I went out to the hallway looking only to notice the corner of a small box poking out from behind the stair case (we lived in a unit at the time). The parcel was not authorized for drop off so I was not pleased at all as I had no idea how long the fish had been sitting there BUT this is an issue with Australia Air Express and not LiveFish.

Once I'd brought the fish inside and unpacked them I was delighted that they were indeed very alive and very healthy in appearance.

I have since found the fish from LiveFish to be of the highest standard, I have had fish from the pet shops in the past which have not lasted more than a couple of months. The fish we first purchased from LiveFish are now 2 years old and we will be ordering again soon as we upgrade our smaller tank to a new larger one.

While they do cost a little more than the pet shop and there is postage to be taken into account too, the quality is a lot better than anything I've seen from a pet shop. They have a large selection of fresh water and tropical and exotic fish plus a wide range of accessories and aquariums.

Whether your just starting out or a full on fish collector there is sure to be something to suit you!

Fresh Fruit and Veggies to your door! These guys are great! Everything comes fresh from the markets so you are guaranteed the best and freshest produce.

The down side is you might not know if something is unavailable till your delivery arrives but this is a small issue in general everything on their site is available, everything is of course seasonal and is much better quality than the supermarkets for sure.

Quality is great, Service is great! The value is very comparable with supermarkets but the quality is a lot better so you don't mind paying a little extra for some things.

With a small delivery fee ($3) and minimal order ($15)than it will cost you $18 to give them a try, I am sure you will be very pleased.

The first thing that comes to mind... "What a pack of incompetent morons"

I had the misfortune of dealing with this business trying to organise a suit for the best man at our wedding. We had picked the suits and as the best man lives interstate we were trying to find a stockist so he might hire locally.

Originally we had planed for the suit to be picked up in another location (i.e Armidale store as the wedding was being held in Armidale) we had been told by our local store that they would be able to arrange that no problem. (they were stockists for Spurling so we figured they would know)

Apparently NOT this was FAR too complex for them to understand so they took the best mans measurements and sent him on his way... What was the good of this?? He was trying to make an order with them.. he does not live in Cairns and had to make a special trip into see them pretty well for nothing.

I emailed the store to find out what the problem was received no response... the best man tried contacting them and they just gave him a confusing answer... we decided since this all seemed completely out of their ability we would just order the suit and have it ordered and picked up there...

Simple? One would think so... the best man got no where so I rang them.. they could not find an order for him nor seem to have any recollection that he had been in the store... I was told by the staff that when the other staff member came in she would ask her and call me back within the hour... I heard nothing back and when I called them was very rudely told that she tried to call me back but the number didn't work when I asked if she put in the (02) area code I was again very rudely spoken too, told NO... I live in New South Wales... I told her this and I'd told her the number... Anyways still nothing.. No order nothing...

I asked if I could give them his measurements and the order and have them ring him to take the deposit over the phone as he did not live locally... I was told NO they had to have him in their to get his measurements... I had told them no less than a dozen times he had already been in there and had measurements... Where did he have these measurements done I was asked... Are you listening to me??? I was wondering... All this and I got no where just told he would have to come back into the store...

I got back on to the best man and told him he would have to go back into the store... He called them and they told him it was all organised and fine?? (this was about 3 weeks before the wedding)

At one point he was even told he should go somewhere else... Where else do you go when you live in far North Queensland and they are the only stockists for 850km's!!

Within a week of the wedding the best man contacted them to ask if his order would be ready to pick up on the day he was due to fly out from Carins... Again they had no memory or record of his order... eventually they said oh wasn't that to go to Armidale??

..............2 days before the wedding we didn't know if he would have a suit or NOT because they didn't seem to know where it was or if it had been ordered at all... We had to travel to Armidale and were out of contact with the best man at this time so we had NO IDEA if he would have a suit when he got there or not...

On the wedding day.. the best man turned up with his suit... apparently the suit had been ordered and had been in store for a week "waiting for him to pick it up"...

The whole experience was a nightmare... You don't need to worry about if your best man is or isn't going to have a suit on the wedding day... All I can say about this company is they are morons who I would never deal with again, the suits are of fair quality but there are a LOT better hire places out their... had we not required matching suits... we would have went else where...

This review is for Solitary Restaurant And Kiosk, Katoomba NSW

We were given a $100 Australia's Best Restaurant's voucher as a wedding present from my husband's work colleagues. As we were planing our honeymoon in the Blue Mountains we looked into the venues who accepted the voucher and came across solitary.

Solitary is situated in a beautiful area of Leura over looking the Jameson valley. The view is lovely, we were lucky enough to be seated at a window seat which really added to the dinning experience.

The staff were very attentive and it was easy to get their attention when we required it. We had dinner on a Friday night and were very surprised that it was not full being one of the most popular restaurants in the area.

We had tried to have lunch here earlier in the week but found that they were closed so I recommend that you check the opening hours first as we were very disappointed on missing out and having to make other plans.

The meals are reasonable size thought the prices are a little high this is a fine dinning restaurant so high prices are something to be expected but I think they would do better if they dropped the prices and mixed the menu up a little (it does change seasonally but one would like some other options).

The complimentary amuse bouche was a nice touch and very tasty, was a taste of what was yet to come. The food was nice and very fresh my only complaint would be finding a bone in my salmon, this is a choking hazard and a no no for any restaurant, I had brought it to the attention of staff who didn't seem too concerned by it. I wasn't either than I wasn't choking on it at the time either... point still stands in a fine dinning restaurant this shouldn't happen. But it could be forgiven for the whole experience was lovely indeed.

A perfect dinning experience in a beautiful location, highly recommended!!

This review is for Avalon Restaurant, Katoomba NSW

Set in the old Savoy picture theatre, shabby chic is Avalon. Personally I didn't really understand the miss matched decor and tacky plastic plants on the tables but dinning at Avalon is an experience.

If you are lucky enough to score one of the "scenic" seats you will have a beautiful view over the Jamison valley. We were not so lucky, we called and booked two days ahead as it is one of the more busy and popular restaurants in Katoomba. We were stuck at a "table for two" which could have seated about 10 people... my husband and I were sat so far apart that we pretty much had to yell at each other to be heard over the other diners... The restaurant was very busy and we had got their on opening.

The service was... Well the staff while attentive most of the time but none seemed overly friendly.

The food was the highlight of the whole experience, it is nice to have the "small" and "large" options for mains. Sizes are generous. The food was tasty and fresh though my sauce was far too runny and my husbands "slow cooked lamb" was far from tender. It was still very nice with a home style touch.

liquorish Cheesecake is lovely for something different.

Avalon could really benefit from a make over, while it calls it's self "Avalon Cafe" it is in fact a Restaurant inside a cafe, the prices are what you would expect from a restaurant but the decor drags things down with everything looking mish-mashed you feel more like your in a time warp than a fine dining restaurant which does little to justify your $35 main...

It's something different, the food is nice, the value is about what you'd expect but just in a different surrounding... All in all a little disappointing but an experience.

Hot Bargin is a fantastic little shop, I drop in ofen on shopping trips to check out the new stock or when looking for that special something.

I have found many bargains at "Hot Bargain" I find particularly their photo frames are great value for money! They look great, they are cheap and they are good quality.

They have everything from gift ware to kitchen ware and a whole variety of home wares. They also keep up with the changing seasons like Christmas and Halloween. So there is always something new. Everything is reasonably priced and good quality.

I have always found the staff to be friendly and polite.

It's definitely worth a look, you never know what you might find. Defiantly something for everyone!

Myself and My husband have been going to the Merewether Family Practice for several years now. Being some what new to town at the time we didn't have a GP and when the need araised we found it difficult to find a practice in town taking new patients, it was a relief when we found a GP at the Merewether Family Practice.

The doctors are of the best quality. The fees are average for a general consultation.

The only let down is the service you receive at the desk by one NOT all of the reception ladies. Most are more than pleasant which is what you want when visiting a doctors surgery as your usually not feeling the best!

Good Family Friendly Practice.

whether you want a simple birthday cake or a grand wedding cake Pam Dixon is your women! If there is one thing this lady know it is cakes!

Pam is a wonderful lady who makes cakes from her home in Armidale but she does cakes for areas such as Guyra, Walcha and the surrounding New England area.

A few years ago Pam done a wedding cake for my friend we were very amaze at what she done, I was very pleased that she was still doing cakes when I was arranging my wedding.

I had a meeting with Pam about 6 months prior to the wedding and we discussed what I wanted, every detail was taken, from the size, flavor and icing to the decoration.

It is truly amazing what she is able to achieve in icing! I wish we were able to post photos on reviews as pictures in this case would speak louder than words.

Pam handmade every flower and leaf on my cake, everyone at the wedding commented on how beautiful the cake was and it did look amazing. It was exactly what we wanted.

It also tastes amazing!

Pam's prices are more than reasonable for all the work she puts in, she will also deliver and set up your cake at no charge (within the town i.e Armidale). She will be able to give you a quote on the spot and is very knowledgeable about how large of cake you will need if your unsure .

She is more than helpful, very friendly and does an amazing job!
