DARE TO BE DIFFERENT. MICHAEL IS SIMPLY THE BEST.

Over the years I've bought allot of furniture, from Ikea,Freedom, Oz Design and you often see the same pieces in friends places, so I decided to look for something different. I found it at Dare. Dare Gallery has a great mix and match of furniture a allot of different styles of lounges, and you can select from a wide range of different materials and you can even select from about twenty different legs, so everyone's lounge can seem unique. I bought two lounges, some very different, stylish bed side lamps and a gold framed mirror. To go with this I bought a chair which I selected a colorful stripped material for the bedroom, they are great and the prices were brilliant.

If you shop at Dare Moore Park ask for Michael who really is like the million dollar Man, stylish, cool, down to earth and certainly won't sell you something for the sake of it, he quickly gets a feel for what you want and shows a good and different selection. I always feel I've been treated with respect and given the very best advice and by Michael, he is a true Ambassadore for Dare Gallery and they should ask him to act as a star model for customer service training videos.

Thank you Dare Gallery Moore Park, and Thank you Michael for making my home uniquely different with great quality, Australian made furniture.

This review is for All Spice Thai Kitchen, Waterloo NSW

This is a very good place for Thai Takaway in the very Trendy, up and coming hot spot of Sydney, Waterloo. They make an excellent Crispy Pork Belly and Chilli Basil ( Kra Prao Mhoo Krob) and I am very fond of their Pineapple Fried rice.
I have never been to the site so cant talk about the place or personal service. I have ordered over the phone quite a few times and they have been polite, understood my order and they have all arrived on time and pipping hot.
At Lunch time they deliver Free for orders over $35.00 which isnt alot if you have two or three of you. For Dinner they have Free delivery also or oders over $20.00 or 10% off for pick up, on orders over $25.00.
You can also get a free bottle of soft drink for orders over $50.00.
These are all within a designated area mostly The very Trendy and newest hip place to live Waterloo and Redfern.
Situated between Pitt and George Streets in Allen Street you can eat there and BYO. But i have yet to venture that far, I like to delivery and it has been great.

This review is for Jed's Cafe, Redfern NSW

Another Perfect example of the renovated and rejuvenated cafes that are in the up and Happening Redfern area, just off Redfern road, down from my office, in the lovely George Street, George and Pitt street, Were, once before 1905, one long road.It was with the building of Central station the streets got split to Sydney sides and Redfern sides.
This cafe has some lovely owners, very friendly and will make a nice coffee.
Just look for the busiest and most successful Centrelink office and turn into George street you will find this Caf on your left, about 100 meters.

They have good prices, a quality selection and very friendly service all year around. Many of the customers are from the local neighbourhood, of Redfern and also consisting of the Up and coming Trendy Cope Street which is just across the road from this Very good selection bottolo.
I like Redfern Cellars for its eccentric variety of import beers from all over the world.

This review is for The Imperial Hotel, Erskineville NSW

verified email - 29 May 2012

After being closed for what seems like years, for renovation, and their seemingly issues with Council on how big the smoking area could be, which also seems to have held up the reopening of this Iconic Hotel that in its day was along with the Albury Hotel, ( now closed due to noise complaints by St Vincent's Hospital ) had some of the very best talented drag acts in Sydney.
The opening and closing scences of the movie Priscilla queen of the Desert, and if you look at the outside scences of the building and the inside ones of the bar, you might wonder what the hell, did they renovate, it looks as it did in those shots of a movie made in 1993.
Anyway this place is ok, and has the potential to be a lot better if they could just get some staff that stayed and remember you as a regular and your name, a way a pub should be, especially one that is supposed to support the gay community, it often feels as though your just a prance thing and it's serve and next, next, next.
Gosh I long for the days of Patches again, you bought membership and everyone from security and the doorman knew your name.
But I'm not writing this place off, if your in Erskinville and in dire need of a drink, and you want to reminisce then this is the place.

This review is for Celebrant: Wright Celebrancy, Thornleigh NSW

verified email - 28 May 2012

Teresa Wright is simply one of the best in the business. I attended a wedding a few weeks back in Wisemans ferry and the Celebrant did a marvelous job, was caring, compassionate and funny. She guided the Bride who was nervous and the groom through the Ceremony and made some lovely remarks and comments on their lives together.
I had a chat with her and she does commitment ceromonies and baby naming ceremonies. She will come to you or you can meet her and everything is proffesionally planned in advance.
She is wonderful and a delight to talk to.

This review is for IGA, Newtown NSW

Recently taken over and slightly rebranded and refurbished from a Franklins store Lloyds IGA in Newtown, They are very friendly and have a good variety of well turned over stock, I know because Im OCD when it comes to checking use by dates.
Im trying to shop up here more but with all the woolies cards im redeeming I dont get here often.
Its a little more per item than Coles and Woolworths though its convenient and with this store I do like there fresh fruit and Veg more than the big chains, it dosnt feel so stored and handled, if that makes sense?
If your in King street or the Newtown area and need to shop then this new IGA is the go.

This review is for Roger Shoe Repairs, Redfern NSW

This shoe repairers really has sole. I have my work shoes and florsheims resoled here, they are friendly, give a firm price before they do the work and use a good leather sole. They also have a range of rubber and other styles of soles and a whole lot more.

This review is for Coles, Waterloo NSW

verified email - 26 May 2012

This Coles is cool, new and modern, it does pay to check the use by dates as it does seem that some items don't move so fast, so it's best just to check as you go. I love their meat they have a butcher on site and a bakery so it's all lovely.
They have priced matched and lowered prices on other equivalent items if they run out of something and they give rain check vouchours you just have to go to the info desk and ask.
There's a new manager, and she seems to have turned around the store.
Tim is an Ambassadore for Coles and serves with pride and assists were he can, he is a bright star and shines in this shiny clean store.

This review is for McDonalds, Cremorne NSW

verified email - 26 May 2012

I have been going to this Maccas since I was thin, in 1986 and they sold deep fried chicken pieces, they were trying to compete with the chicken chain. The then owner being a Franchise store, soon was to open the worlds 9000th store in The bank building in North Sydney using the first clam shell method for cooking the burgers.
But back to Cremorne they had no drive through in those days, they then had the up and over drive through built, and many of us had left a scraping of our car maneuvering around that stupid design. Then they acquired the site next door extended right and took to silly drive through away and ran it around the back. It is now the modern streamline store it is today.
Very good service and a good well made product, even though I don't like newest make as you go process they have now, it all seems tossed together and not all the same in each store.
Thank you for delivering me Consistant service for over 25 years.
