We ate there a couple of times on a recent trip to the Gold Coast. The meals are tasty and generous but the best deal is their $5 breakfast, 2 eggs a hash brown a sausage decent serve of bacon, and tomato on thick toast. The eggs were cooked perfectly and I couldn't cook that meal for myself at home for $5!!

We took to the hills on a miserable day on the "Sunshine" coast on a chilly day. Poets Cafe is a lovely place set up like a big gazebo. Unfortunately not really set up for cold weather with only tiny heaters on the outside perimeter of the closed in verandah. Lovely food though, service was a bit slow and hard to grab their attention despite the fact they weren't very busy.

We had the opportunity to dine here whilst attending a wedding recently. Wow the buffet was great. I would place this in the best wedding feast I have ever had. Oysters, prawns, beef pork you name it, they had it. Desserts to die for. I wish I lived in Qld as I would be frequenting 19 regularly if I lived close by!

Television was small and snowy. No internet in rooms. Aircon was really noisy. We paid for a room for 3 and my daughter was placed on a sofa bed which when set out took over half the room which was small enough anyway. Very disappointing for the price we paid.

We stayed here after a flight back from Fiji as it was close to the airport and cheap for a family room stopover. Whilst the place is very dated and the toilets and showers are not in the rooms old fashioned hospitality is what happens here. The host showed me to our room, came out to show us where to park, and offered information on the dining options nearby. There was free wifi in all rooms and a help yourself breakfast was set up in an eatery upstairs. It wasn't the Ritz but it was cheap and convenient. The host even called us after checkout to let me know we had left my daughters medicine in the fridge. Old fashioned hospitality is rare these days.

Invited to a hero's and villains party both my partner and I have spent years trying to avoid dressing up but this time we said what the heck! ABC costumes had so many different costumes it was mind boggling and sooo hard to decide what costume to hire! The salesaldy was wonderful and we settled on Cruella dev Ville and Buzz Light year, we were complimented on our costumes at the party. Thanks ABC you made a painful chore for s pleasant and fun!

Really can't complain, dropped my car in for a service at 9 , received a call at 2:30 and it was ready. They explained what may need to be done on it in the future and off I drove. Lovely customer service.

Not the nicest of decor, not even the best service. They were busy on Thursday night and stuck us in a table down the back where they obviously forgot about us! The food made up for the lack of service, the staff were very pleasant just a bit slack. Nice squid for an entree followed by a spicy curried dish which was hearty and tasty. We will be back.

I had a huge mountain ash with a split trunk that was classed as a widow maker! Dave was amazing, he was just a speck way up in the air and safely cut the tree down to the ground. A few other smaller trees and all branches mulched for me. What a hard working bunch, definitely value for money!

I live down the road from flippin pancakes but haven't been there in years. I made a booking for 3 at 10 fro 12:30. When we got there no parking spaces were available, the nearest parking was a 5 minute walk away with a treacherous crossing over the tourist road. When we got in there the reservations book did not have our name, in fact for a restaurant that full it had about 8 names. We were shown to a table that had just been cleared, but were moved to a nicer window seat when another table was available. We waited over half an hour for our entree of pumpkin soup and garlic bread, another hour for our mains even after asking where our food was! We had to ask for water despite the fact that every other table had a bottle and glasses! Whilst the waitresses were lovely and running their butts off, management have a lot to answer for. Not enough parking, not enough front service and obviously not enough kitchen staff! The food was great but I would seriously think about going back for a wait that long!
