This review is for Australian Rainbow Trout Farm, Macclesfield VIC

We headed to the trout farm to catch some dinner. It's great to know that when taking a child fishing for the first time they are guaranteed to catch something. All graded sizes of rainbow trout, golden trout and salmon are available in different ponds. They have a challenge lake which is more like real fishing as it is not very well stocked so treat the kids to some "patient" fishing then head off to the ponds for a quick catch. Everything you catch you have to pay for, we saw some people shocked when they caught 2 large salmon 3 kilo's each and had to pay $24 a kilo for their catch. We set in our mind we wanted a dinner plate size trout each and we stuck with that, They clean the fish for free and charge extra if you want them filletted. Nice for an afternoon activity. For younger kids there is a playground, mini golf course and bbq's galore ( although they all looked very tired!) A revamp to the place would make it a much better place to visit, however we most certainly enjoyed our freshly caught trout for dinner. Yumm!!

The first time we visited pizza lovers the pizzas were great. King prawns and wasabi pizzas were great, gorgonzola and leek, yummm especially on thin crust. Over time their standards seemed to have slipped and they are not quite as good as they were when they first opened. Maybe skimping on ingredients to save a few dollars. We will be back regularly but with Big Al's just down the road don't forget that there is a cheaper choice available nearby.

This review is for Master Ming Chinese Food, Belgrave VIC

Take away only but one wonders why they offer hamburgers and chips at what should be Chinese food only! Whilst individual prices seemed reasonable our takeaway for 3 people came to $75! We were a bit dissapointed with the food, my wonton soup was bland, lacking flavour, same with the fried rice. The rest of the food was just ok, they need to pick up their game if they wish to compete with the other takeaways in the area. No complaints about the staff, they were very friendly and helpful/

What a find in an out of the way part of Belgrave, Oscars has a great selection of beers and ciders to suit all tastes. We went there for the first time last night and Ben Kelly was playing, What an awesome night, great atmosphere with people dancing to his music. The only thing missing is food , apart from finger food (mainly nuts), it would be great to enjoy a meal there as well. Can't wait til summer to enjoy the atmosphere outside.

First time trying to find this place was difficult as it is in a maze of residential multistory buildings. We practically needed a packed lunch to find our room 3rd floor and as far away from the lifts as possible (even down some stairs) difficukt at the best of times when loaded up with luggage, Considering they had several vacancies it does make you wonder why they placed us in a room so far away from the entrance. The room was ok but a bit "tired" There is no way I'd class it as 4 star, pools were neglected. The plus... at nighttime it was deadly quiet ( apart from the noisy fridge!). So much could be done with this place as it is in a lovely location once you find it!

We were hanging out for a good Asian meal on a recent stay in Queensland. This place certainly appeased our cravings. We couldn't have asked for better service and the meals were all top class. Our host was lovely and had time to have a bit of a chat which always makes one feel welcome. Next time we are on the God Coast we will be back.

This review is for The Atrium, Biggera Waters QLD

We stayed here for 4 nights to attend a wedding nearby. Loved the location right opposite the Broadwater. The unit itself was immaculately clean, modern and well set out. Roomy living area and large balcony area. Unfortunately we didn't get a waterfront facing unit but we could see a bit of the mountains and a bit of the broadwater. Self contained for all our needs. One thing they don't feature on their website is the interior of the building which has large water gardens/fishponds in the centre and glass lifts in each internal end of the building all overlooking the atrium! Loved it and wish we had of stayed for longer, off peak it cost us around $100 per night which was excellent value.

We really felt this place was an ex prison! Well that's how big the rooms were. The bathroom had nowhere to put your clothes and had a shower curtain in this day and age! 2 bunks and a queen size bed jammed into a tiny space it is certainly a travellers hotel! There was not even a spare chair in the room, just a plastic stool to sit on. Located close to the airport but far away from anywhere to have dinner without a car. The shuttle bus in the morning was punctual and you could hekp yourself to tea and coffee whilst waiting for the bus. Value for money but definitley no luxury place .

After returning for a week in Fiji we were hanging out for some nice Asian food and what we found at Holiday Inn was excellent. The decor is typical Chinese and the host mills around your table checking that everything is ok, She must have asked 5 times if we had enough chilli! Lovely food and they packed the leftovers into containers for us to enjoy later. We did have to giggle that they put our bottle of red in an ice bucket, BYO wine only,

We booked this room off season. The room was clean but we were short a towel and no spare pillows. Location is good as it is a short walk to the main shopping strip and beach. We spent 2 nights there and only found out on checkout that the rooms were unserviced, nowhere in the reservation did it mention this. The breakfast room was difficult to find the entrance to. Sadly we were there in very cold and wet weather , it would be a wonderful place to stay if the weather was warm.
