Damian's workmanship is of a high quality and he is very easy to deal with. He built a house for my husband and I, and has also done work for other family & friends. When issues arise, he is able to calmly work out a solution. He definately made the whole process easier for us and I would highly recommend him to anyway who is looking to build.

This is my first choice for macarons in the city, the best I've been able to find so far. They are pricey ($3 each) but so delicious and a great gift idea. My favourites are the pistacio and the salted caramel.

A little difficult to find in regard to the address. The building is on the corner of William St and if you enter via the stairs in William Street, the cafe is straight ahead. Very busy at lunch time, had to wait in a queue for awhile. A great range of interesting & fresh salads. $8.50 for a small takeaway salad which is still a fairly generous size. I chose half chickpea salad and half rocket & pumpkin salad. Both were nice but I would choose something else instead of the chickpea salad next time.

Approximate cost: $8.50

Passing Clouds has been one of my favourites for a long time. Friendly owners & beautiful wine. Highly recommend the Graeme's Blend. Cellar door is set on beautiful property about 10mins out of Daylesford. Good range of wines to taste. Cellar door has fireplace which is perfect in winter, and a friendly dog! There is a small amount of outdoor seating overlooking the dam which would be great in summer.

This review is for Museum of Old & New Art (MONA), Glebe TAS

This place is amazing! The building is beautiful and unique and the exhibitions are interesting. Definately not your average museam/art gallery. Kept me hooked the entire time. Must have an open mind as some of the exhibitions are pretty confronting, so wouldn't suggest taking kids along. Recommend relaxing with a drink at the Void Bar. There is also a nice vineyard/brewery next door and on the day we visited, a band were playing. Catch the ferry from Hobart waterfront which makes for a relaxing day out. Suggest prepurchasing tickets to MONA when you buy the ferry tickets.

Approximate cost: $20

This review is for The Quarry, Hobart TAS

My husband and I stayed in their self contained apartments upstairs for a couple of nights. The sandstone building is beautiful and the location is perfect, right in the heart of salamanca place. The staff were helpful & friendly however the walls are paper thin and we could hear everything that was said in the room next door as if they were in our own room! I've never experienced anything like it! I was so disappointed because I loved the room but unless they fixed the ridiculous sound problem, I would not stay there again.

This review is for Salamanca Market, Hobart TAS

The Salamanca Market is one of my favourite things to do in Hobart. It is definately a must see for unique handmade goods & beautiful tasmanian produce. Love the organic apples, the Bruny Island cheeses and make sure you visit the Ashbolt stall for beautiful olive oil & salad dressings and elderflower cordial! Highly recommend!

The location is amazing on the waterfront with loads of outdoor seating. Great simple bar food but it can get very busy so the service can get a little slow. Great spot for drinks on a sunny afternoon.
