I recently took a few friends to the castle on their "locals" $16 meals night and 2 of the steaks on our table were almost inedible. One end of the steak was bright red & appeared to be raw. I've eaten here a few times in the past and from my experience, I would avoid the so called "locals" night as the standard is considerably less. Its pretty disappointing when a pub can't get a steak right and there is no point offering $16 meals if the quality is so reduced. On a positive note, the staff are very friendly & the bar/lounge area is nice for a drink but I wouldn't bother going back for a meal.

Eaten here quite a bit at various times of the day. The food is consistently great & I've always found the service to be really good! Funky restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, great location & reasonably priced.

I've enjoyed having a drink in their courtyard however the front bar can get really busy and the service can be slow. I wouldn't eat in the restaurant again after a terrible experience with a group dinner booking. It appeared they had overbooked & we were sat in the walkway between the bar & the restaurant, plus it was summer and was so hot inside - we were all dripping with sweat. On top of that, the service was basically non existent.

Back in Sep 09 my friend & I took one of Martin's photography workshops. We were blown away by his own shots, where his talent was obvious, and his entertaining travel photography stories. The workshop consisted of some basic theory over a coffee, then a hands on afternoon around the city. We thoroughly enjoying the experience which we found to be very informative and inspiring. The workshops are conducted in a relaxed way & Martin is eager to share his knowledge.

I discovered this winery at a local wine event and after chatting to the lovely owner, I ordered a case of their Frizzante which was a special for the day. $110 for 12 bottles which included delivery. They accept both direct deposit and credit cards (at no extra charge). I was able to easily make payment over the phone and the service was very friendly & professional. I was also able to specify a day for delivery which arrived as requested. Very happy customer & a great business to deal with.

I've been going to this salon for about the last 4 years for cuts, colours & foils and have always left happy. I love their aveda tea, the little samples I get to try and the head massages, in a very chic environment. Its not cheap but I've tried other salons and have always been disappointed. This place never disappoints!

I went to Maze for a friends birthday dinner just after it opened. A couple of reviews which I had been reading mentioned how cheap the meals were in comparison to the quality. The quality of the food was high however the whole menu is just a series of tiny tasting plates which the waitress suggested ordering about 6 each. Each of the plates were beautiful, perhaps more visually then in flavour. Most of the tasting plates were around $15, making for quite an expensive dinner and at the end of the night, I had enjoyed the food but was left feeling a bit disappointed and feel the experience was very underwhelming. I did like the decor, the comfortable chairs and the staff were very attentive however would like to see them loosen up a bit. I probably wouldn't go back, its a bit too prententious for me.

Best pies in Bendigo and the yummiest hedgehog slice I've ever been able to find! Service can be a bit slow. Lots of tables to sit at and a nice bakery since the renovations.

This place used to be a funky little bar so we were sorry to lose our favourite drinking spot but the awesome pasta is well worth the change. Absolutely delish pasta, yummy breakfasts and the Illy coffee has always been awesome! Great service and reasonably priced - highly recommend!

I recently had a hot rock massage at Silk after receiving a gift voucher for my birthday. I was a bit nervous having never had a massage before but the staff made me feel very at ease and the whole experience was amazing. You can't help but feel relaxed in this little oasis and I love the extra little touches like the foot baths and tea & biscuit. The perfect gift idea or for those in need of some serious relaxation.
