Came here for a birthday dinner and I had looked up the menu beforehand and planned to have the lamb but sadly that was off the menu. Had some fettucini with Rose sauce which was good but not great. The birthday girl and her party all enjoyed their various meals and service was good. Pleasant place in busy Lygon Street with tables outside of course. More a traditional Italian restaurant (and without pizza).

Late in the day we needed some quick lunch and were wanting something healthier than the "big chain" takeaways and found this little shop in Young. Now, I'm not saying their food wasn't lovely but the price was rather inflated for what we got. Maybe we came at the wrong time as they were closing up. We asked about their hot food offerings - burgers and hot dogs etc but they had stopped making this and only cold food was on offer. We ordered two ham and cheese rolls, a ham sandwich, a chicken and avocado roll and also got a lamington and a Freddo chocolate and were charged $34. If I hadn't been tired and in a hurry and had my impatient son with me, I would have questioned this. So ... nice food and fresh ingredients but not a cost effective meal for us.

Lovely place with good food. Two large counters to walk up and order and survey all the yummy delights on offer and then a large room with comfortable tables and chairs to eat inside and also other seating out on the wide footpath outside.
We enjoyed home baked pies of great quality - steak and chicken and mushroom, plus croissants, a chocolate coated gingerbread man (wow) and a totally delectable passionfruit tart. I'm seriously wanting one of those now.
Very friendly and quick serving staff. So glad we stopped in this attractive town. Total cost around $23

A wonderful place for brunch or snack. They have the best sausage rolls I've tasted for a long time. Flaky pastry, real meat and very thick too and onion and other tasty things. Plus pies of all types and very special cheese and bacon rolls that are make of crusty bread with toasted bacon on top. Lots of other yummy treats like croissants and custard tarts. We thoroughly enjoyed the food from here and it was at a good price too.

This review is for Old Dennis Fish and Chips, Lithgow NSW

There's two fish and chip shops in this street a few doors from each other and both called the same, except this one is the original and called Old Dennis and the other one is just called Dennis Seafoods. A very lovely and traditional lady took my order and cooked our fish and chip lunch - we chose the Family Value pack of 4 fish, 4 potato cakes and a whole lot of chips for $27 which I did think was very good value!

There's a sort of alcove in the shop where you can go into another part which has ladies tops and scarves etc to browse while you are waiting. The chips were wonderful, potato cakes large and crunchy-soft and the fish just a tiny bit overdone but nevertheless nice and juicy inside. Would certainly come here again.

This review is for Namaroo Conference Centre and Camp, Chatswood NSW

This is a lovely venue set in beautiful bushland - it has everything a camp site and conference centre would want - ample rooms for meetings and leisure, pool, sports courts, bunk bed accommodation or deluxe family rooms, wonderful kitchen staff who cater meals and provide a varied menu and much more. My two children had a wonderful time here and enjoyed the actual place as more than just a place to stay. Possumms and lizards walk around quite at home on the grounds and friendly staff to help out when required. Located close to Chatswood where there is a large shopping centre and transport to all the sights of Sydney.
For their four night stay with two meals a day was around $300 pp.
Would recommend.

This is a great traditional Aussie camping ground and caravan park. Set in a slightly remote area with lovely trees and rolling fields and the bonus of a train line nearby. We had a 2 bed cabin which had warm blankets, ample kitchen facilities and a lovely deck to watch over on the farm next door with cute animals. Heater provided for those cold nights and plenty of room in the middle of the cabin for table and for the futon sofa.
Plenty of other options including camping at powered and unpowered sites and even a pit stop service where you can pay a small fee to use the facilities for 2 hours. Watch out if you go out to the supermarket in the middle of town at night ... it's a little tricky to find and then to get back, or it was for us anyway. Lovely owners and would stay here again as we did once long ago in the past.

This review is for Greco's Fish, Chicken and Hamburgers, Katoomba NSW

Wow, what a find. A comprehensive take away food shop which has a bit of personality and style, a great range of menu items and pretty good value as well. We got 1/4 ckicken and chips, some potato cakes (they call them potato scallops in NSW) and then some separate chip servings. Everything was delicious and make me sorry I hadn't ordered some more. Chips were particularly good - large, fluffy on inside but crunchy outside. Great range of drinks on offer. It's a cute little shop front - interesting to guess what it might have been in days gone by. And lovely service by a lady who was patient enough to tell me about their menu items. There is a room on the same premises next door filled with tables and chairs, or a park bench just outside.
Highly enjoyed and well recommended.

This review is for Three Sisters Cafe, Katoomba NSW

This place was a little expensive but I suppose that's to be expected in a high traffic tourist spot (buses and people everywhere). You have to order and pay at the till and there is a range of food and drink on offer. Plenty of tables to eat at and quite an attractive area. We had some drinks and actually would have liked to stay longer. The place has a busy atmosphere but that's not a bad thing. Staff were to be seen moving around the tables and taking away rubbish, so was kept neat. A good spot for a rest from sight seeing for a while.

This review is for Glenbrook village bakehouse, Glenbrook NSW

Ever ordered a mushroom pie and then had to search for them with a magnifying glass? I have but NOT at Glenbrook Bakehouse. We were travelling through here and needed a mid morning pick me up. Had some plain pies, mushroom pie, ham and cheese roll, and croissant. All were tasty and made so fresh. There were loads of other baked goods on offer and coffee and other drinks. Tables are provided if you want to eat it there or you can wander over to the park across the road. Very friendly serving staff and very quick service although they were very busy. Would recommend anytime if in this area.
