I am so tired of being brushed off by the reception at this clinic. That is even when emails are replied to and phone calls are answered. My child runs out medication, even when I request it a month in advance. The blame is always put back on me. When I genuinely try to find ways that both I and the clinic might improve practice so that my child is not running out of medication I am accused of being argumentative. What am I to do?

After leaving a review on Google, I received a very rude and unprofessional phone call from Mark. I again calmly and politely requested what I could do to ease scripts being delivered on time in future. There was no interest in finding a solution. Instead, as a result of leaving a one-star review and genuinely enquiring why the script had been delayed and what both parties might do to avoid this in future, he told me to find another paediatrician for my child. And hung up on me. Even with a difficult paediatrician waitlist, I would highly recommend you look elsewhere for your family for a more reliable and professional service.

Dr Parker is extremely Professional and Knowledgeable in his field. I would highly recommend him. He explained everything to me in simple terms and made my son and I feel very welcome and comfortable. He is a lovely Dr. He deserves a 5 star.

In my opinion, Dr Mark Parker is a knowledgeable, professional and well educated Dr and we are blessed to be able to take our son to him.

He explains every diagnosis, shares his professional thoughts and answers every question you have for him. The referrals to other professionals are also the best!! Our interactions with other professions he has recommended has also been amazing.

His kind nature makes you comfortable when you enter the room, active listening ensures his engagement and gentle approach to the child really is impressive.

Yes, one of the receptionist does not have great social skills and lacks some professionalism - however she is knowledgeable in what is required for his field of work. It can be a little confronting meeting her but I can assure you face to face contact she is great! She will not give the run around and as I said she knows her stuff!!!

I will not rate my experience based on the staff but on Dr Mark Parker himself. The waiting period is reasonable and he acts on a triage system and not on first in best serve.

Again a fantastic man who deserves 5 stars.

Dr Parker's knowledge and experience with children and in particular with our child and her diagnosis has saved our family from breaking point!!! He would have to be the absolute finest Paediatrician in WA and i'm so thankful that I persisted with him despite reading some of the reviews online. His main Secretary is like a gatekeeper to a vault but his wife makes up for this as she is so lovely. Don't go anywhere else Dr Parker is by far the best decision you will ever make for your child!!

Dr Parker was referred by a Medical Doctor who can be relied upon to identify a good specialist. I found Dr Parker to be very considered, knowledgeable, candid and mindful of the cost pressures faced by families today (after Medicare rebates surprisingly affordable). He also has a professional relationship with service providers of relevant & credible allied support services that will benefit my child (unfortunately my experience is that not all allied services are useful as they want us to think). I have the utmost regard for Dr Parker's professional abilities.

I can't believe people have written negative things about this Dr. He was great the first time I took my child to him and he has not disappointed to date. It was so refreshing to finally see a Doctor that knew what he was talking about. He offered advice, a plan and lots of alternatives with treating my child. I feel like we have been going around in circles with trying to find help for my child over the last few years and after seeing Dr Parker and having him treat my child we are finally on the right path. You pay for what you get and I think Dr Parker would have to be the best Paediatrician in Perth!! You will be thankful to have Dr Parker as your child's paediatrician once you see him.

Dr Parker comes across as a competent (and very expensive) doctor but I would look elsewhere if you are seeking a pediatrician as it has taken us years to work through the various processes associated with the medical red-tape. I suspect the long delays has a lot to do with the admin staff working along side Dr Parker. The reception staff was very rude to me over the phone and refuse to accept an email scan but instead demand a fax. Its 2018 not 1978.

Dr Parker is a lovely person, shame about his receptionist! Very unprofessional and extremely rude! Have been waiting 1 months since appointment for letter to DSC Eligibility. Phoned & emailed many times, same response `very busy and it's in the typing pool'. Unable to have anything escalated or speak with Dr Parker. Top dollar for extremely poor service!

Dr Parker is great and has helped my son so much. We first met Dr Parker as he was recommended by my obstetrician and he was the paediatrician at my sons delivery. Our Gp then referred us to Dr Parker [redacted clinical content] He is busy and does book out so I would recommend getting onto appointments but he is worth it!!

PLEASE BEWARE!! My experience started with reception as found them rude
and obnoxious towards me. When I left a message expecting a call back, I
almost always had to wait as long as the wait for my initial appointment.
Please don't get me wrong, one of the receptionists was okay, overall
however reception was a disappointing start to my experience with this
business. After not receiving a call back, I called again the next day and
was dismissed and hung up on... I quickly called back to let them know
that this way of handling things was very cold!

Following this, the practice then called my wife (not me) and abruptly
told her that my daughter's continued treatment will be cancelled as a
result of my phone call with reception. I was accused of being extremely
abusive and harassing them with constant calls (I called twice and I
promise you I wasn’t abusive as I didn’t want to jeopardise my daughters
health and wellbeing… well that
didn’t work!!) [redacted] I feel like I was always spoken to and not listened to by
this business, again I was dismissed and hung up on.

hi emmas758, I was posting to Anonymous who also gave a 1* review, not you.... sorry if you feel that was towards you, but unless you posted as anonymous and also gave a 1* review it wasn't. I appreciate that you may have had a reasonable service with Dr Mark Parker, unfortunately I do not share you're views. I am contacting others who share the same belief that we deserved to have been treated with more respect than was offered to us. Before attacking me and jumping to the defence of something you have absolutely no idea about, please consider that before you make your judgement.... know the facts.

I had to unhappily edit my post because after being threatened with criminal charges about the tone of voice I used in my conversation with his receptionist, I then have been threatened with a lawsuit in regards to posting a negative review...... We were also told others were being contacted and treated with the same demands of action to remove theirs also. Thank you for you opinion, like your comment above this is also your opinion..... you don't know me or my situation about the torment and personal stress Dr Mark Parker is putting us through, as a family. I am happy that you have managed to find comfort in your Paediatrician and I personally hope it continues for you. Unfortunately not everyone shares your opinion. I am more than happy to share the complaints I sent to The Health and Disability Service and also to The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency about questioning his Conduct and Performance of Practitioner towards me and my daughter...... to anyone that asks really.

I have nothing to gain from this, I think people have a right know and base things on their own opinion and the right to choose. If things are manipulated to gain a better approval rating, I might question it, but that is why there are positive and negative reviews so people can gather their own facts before making a life affecting decision.

On a side note I think the name calling is a little uncalled for, I'm also a little offended that you would accuse me of taking her medication, just a little.... I am adhd so it might actually benefit me, turns out its a genetic thing....... anyways I do appreciate the time you have shared with me and I am absolutely certain you will respond to this message again...... so talk soon I guess :)
