Caroline and Tyson were extremely professional on the night our beautiful furry baby reached the end of her life. They were outstanding in terms of caring for our feelings and the comfort of our darling, After the event, Tyson particularly made dealing with a truly incompetent and insensitive pet insurance company more bearable than it would have been. These people truly care about animals and the people who love them. I have nothing but positive things to say about them and recommend them highly.

Arrived at about 10pm on a Saturday night of a long weekend............Friendly and empathetic staff, coupled with efficiency and excellent care of our very sick dog, made what was a very scary time for us, into a very positive experience. Their willingness to keep us informed of our dogs progress at any time of the day or night was very comforting. After a two night stay with drips, meds and blood work, I was pleased with the cost..... we were quoted right from the start as to what we would be looking at.

Totally recommend Newcastle Animal referral and Emergency centre. We have used there services twice over the years and would not have known what to do without them. Expensive......Yes, but worth every cent we paid. Would I use them again..........In a heartbeat. From the initial phone call, reception, nurse and vet, professionalism was shown. Their Knowledge, care, concern and empathy are outstanding. Thankyou guys for again saving our little 14 yr old Shih tzu, Missy. God bless.

We found the staff to be professional and caring during our emergency dash in the middle of the night. Our dog had to stay a couple of days and we were kept up to date with progress. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat.

Puppy I was minding couldn't walk. Drove her straight to NAREC and two nurses rushed over to help me carry her in. Very professional and reassuring.

I visited the clinic 8.20 on a Saturday night, my dog had eaten a tick collar, they saved my dog, its great to have somewhere to go after hours, but very expensive, very sad if you could not afford it

I am going through a stressful time caring for sick father and relocating my family from one end nsw to other. First time travelling long distance with my dog. Arrive at pet friendly motel in jesmond to break trip and huge traffic delays through Sydney then found my dog had a swollen eye with blood surrounding it. Very ntender and painful. Not knowing Newcastle I looked up the internet for a emergency vet. By chance saw narec and rang them. Was told they are 24/7 and given directions which turned out nearby. I got lost rang again given more patient directions then was met out front. All staff were exceptionally nice and helpful. They eased my concerns and we got a good nights sleep. I also had another dog with me who was allowed to come into consult. They also emailed me a summary of the consult that I could take to another vet further on my trip. I could have left my dog for observation if I wanted. . Highly recommend their services they were great.

I would recommend this business to everyone as our dog had a life threatening medical condition and under the distressing circumstance it was they were so professional, caring and immediate in moving so quickly in the situation at hand, all staff were wonderful, I can't thank them enough for keeping us continually updated on our beautiful dogs condition,thank you thank you for being the best you all can.

I can't thank the staff at NAREC enough for helping us last night with our dog Ellie. They very quickly determined what the problem was with her, treated her & advised she would need surgery the next day. The vet who looked after Ellie, Katrina, was very professional, caring & instantly instilled confidence in me that she would be able to help Ellie. A big big thank you to Katrina & everyone else for their care, ttention & support for Ellie. She is now recovering after surgery & doing very well.

A big thankyou to the staff who took care of our dog Bongo on Tuesday night, we took her in after we found a paralysis tick behind her ear. She is recovering well and on the slow road to recovery. So once again thankyou =)
