Great environment here, the ambience is really lovely, complimented by the various artworks on display around the cafe, and subtly underscored by pleasant background music. Coffee was great, well-made and excellent value as well!! Definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place to enjoy a coffee or cake (their cakes are also appetising and fresh-looking).

Came in recently for a meal, and was really disappointed. We were out to celebrate a special occasion, and that was what made us pick the restaurant touted as "the best Asian cuisine in town" - but sadly they did not live up to the hype at all. We were a party of four, and over an hour after placing our order, we still had not received our meals. When we asked about it, just wondering when it would be coming as we were all pretty tired and hungry, we were told rudely by the manager that the kitchen was busy that night, and our order had just been placed less than 15 minutes ago. We were practically told that we would just have to wait. While I understand that they may have been busy, there was no reason for such an attitude. Indeed their entire restaurant has an air of snobbery about it, you feel like they are judging you from the moment you walk in. Perhaps our meals were not regarded as being "important" enough as they weren't overly expensive, I don't know. But either way I don't think I will be back for a very long time, at least until they learn to respect people and treat their customers accordingly. Bottom line is, their food is good (if a little pretentious) and their decor beautiful - come to this restaurant if you don't mind really long waiting times, and poor service.

Nice little cafe here, has a lot of potential. Unfortunately it isn't really living up to this potential, which is disappointing. Service could definitely be better - each time I have been, I have been greeted with a brusque reminder of closing times, and on the last occasion was informed gruffly that their kitchen was about to close and therefore they would not be serving any food. Upon my telling them that I was just there for coffee, I was told that that was okay, and reminded once again of when they close. Their coffees are pretty good quality, however, although the ambience and service leave something to be desired. Overall could be better but it's a quaint little spot for an afternoon coffee - just make sure you get in early!

Very disappointed with the service here. Came in to book a holiday with them, but the agent could not seem to understand my wishes. Don't think I will ever go back again for advice or a quote.

Great experience here overall. Service was good, the quality of the coffee excellent as well. The ambience is nice, modern and comfortable, really great place to sit and chat over a cup of coffee or a cake. Word of warning about their cakes though - I was asked if I would prefer ice-cream or cream on the side; turns out that if you ask for ice-cream, they will charge you an additional $1.30, which was an unpleasant surprise when it came time to pay. It would have been nice to have some warning. However, apart from that little blip, overall it was wonderful and I would recommend the Coffee Club to anyone.

Since the library recently moved to their new temporary location, I feel employees have done a great job and should be praised for the organised, efficient way they continue to run the library. Staff are always helpful and warm, and the selection of books is adequate.

Great value lunch specials here, a meal and drink for only $8.50. Nice bright environment, and the service is pretty good. Takeaway can be a bit slow, depending on what you order - I was left waiting a good 10-15 minutes after my companions had all received their orders. Also, portion size appears to be getting smaller with time. However, the quality of the food is pretty good, authentic Malaysian cuisine.

Bought a car from here recently, was very impressed by the service here. They are warm and friendly, and most importantly, honest.

Would have no hesitation in recommending this business to anyone looking to buy a car.

Went there for a function, it was overall a good night. The decor is great (I think it got renovated recently) and the place is clean and has a good ambience. Food could have been better, with a choice of either chicken (portions were small, though) or lamb cutlets, with sweet potato or potato mash. It was the vegetarian meals that were most shocking though - they clearly had not prepared for it, and served up some salad along with a pastry of some sort... the (obviously frozen and then microwaved) pastry still had its blue plastic sheet attached to the bottom of it.

It was also disappointing that although we had booked weeks in advance, and told them we would be having music, we were told that our band was not allowed to perform till far later that night due to functions in adjoining rooms. It would have been nice to bring this up beforehand.

Overall it was a pleasant evening though, I just think they could do with a bit of work in the aforementioned areas.

Their fish of the day was extremely fresh, not that frozen rubbish some places try to pass off as being fresh. The tiger prawn pizza was awesome, as was the Wagyu beef pizza. Dessert - we chose the tasting platter - was the best - great taste & great value. The selection of desserts was truly amazing, they all complemented each other perfectly. One of the best, if not the best, restaurants in Bendigo. Only flaw was the wine list - it wasn't very good, nor was it particularly extensive. We chose the chardonnay that night, and it was a bit disappointing.

Approximate cost: $20 - $30
