A great place for authentic Japanese food; I would highly recommend them!! They use only fresh ingredients and really highlight the dishes' natural flavours. Service was great as well, very attentive.

Rocks on Rosalind is situated right in the middle of town, across from the fountain, which is a great location. It's a modern restaurant with great ambience and wonderful service. Our only complaint would be that it was a bit warm when we went - a hot summer night - but that could have been because the door was open.

Staff were exceptionally well trained & attentive. Cutlery was changed over after each dish (we ordered several mains to share so they came out separately) which was a nice surprise. The drinks list was extensive and offered a good selection of wines and cocktails. Food tasted absolutely amazing, and they cook with fresh ingredients, which really shows. The only slight complaint would be that the spanner crab saffron angelhair pasta, while it tasted great, didn't seem to have much crab meat. Also, food portions didn't seem very large especially for the price - about $40 for a main, and $4.90 for a dessert. However they may be focusing more on quality rather than quantity, and the quality is definitely up there!

Their chocolate-based desserts were all great, especially for us, being chocolate lovers. However their strawberry cheesecake was a bit of a disappointment to be honest, more gelatinous than creamy.

All in all though, Rocks on Rosalind is a great new addition to the Bendigo dining scene!

Like lots of people have said, the food here is nothing special but service is quick and friendly. Decor looks a little bit tired despite recent renovations, but it's nice that they made the effort.

Good venue, they occasionally have live music. Great place to have a drink or meal (try the parmas!) with friends. The beers are well priced and there's a fairly good selection available.

Went here with a group of friends for a birthday. Nice, spacious pub with decent decor and overall ambience was good. Quality of food was good; between us we had a couple of parmas, the mixed grill, the meat lovers pizza and the seafood platter. Food was well cooked and - rare for most pubs - well presented. Service was acceptable, efficient enough. Beers here are standard prices and the outdoor seating is good for people-watching.

This is a drive-thru cafe which is conveniently located at Lake Weeroona and on High St, Kangaroo Flat. Yesterday we were at the lake for Australia Day, and decided to give it a go.

The coffees were excellent - great taste & professionally made.

Prices were extremely reasonable - $3.70 for a small coffee. Apart from coffee, they also have smoothies & milkshakes which we may try in the future.

They had two little tables outside for people like us who are just passing through & would like to have a cuppa. However they are a little bit cramped especially if you take into account the small amount of shade afforded by the awning overhead. It's not too bad with only one table but when more people come it can get a bit cramped - but that would be our only complaint, and given that it is a drive-thru first and foremost, it is somewhat understandable.

Hopefully they might consider expanding into a larger cafe with more available seating.

A great new addition to the Bendigo coffee scene.

The shop is brightly lit and tables arranged well, giving customers plenty of room to move around. The coffee is good quality and well made, as well as being reasonably priced. The cupcakes, which the shop is famous for, look beautiful and enticing although we did not get a chance to try them. Apparently they make birthday cakes as well, and the ones we saw all looked fabulous. I'll probably try one this year!

This is an excellent restaurant with great, reasonably-priced food and superb service. The waiter we had was exceptionally friendly and attentive, instantly approaching whenever we needed something. Overall ambience is great as well, with tables well spaced out and not cramped, and it makes the most of its corner location, with lots of natural light shining through, making it warm and welcoming.

We would highly recommend the Jags grilled beef burger as it's tasty & great value for money especially when compared to rival burger places such as Grill'd. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked, and the burger as a whole was a fairly generous size.

However, the desserts were a bit disappointing. The cakes displayed did not look inviting and were clearly not home-made. We chose to order the churros instead, but found it to be a mistake. It was quite a small dish for the price (here's where the trend of great value for money ended). Presentation was disappointing, and the tiny pieces of strawberry scattered around haphazardly just looked tired and half-hearted. The churros themselves were a bit soggy and lacked flavour, perhaps more sugar is needed. The worst part though would have to be the chocolate dip - watery and again lacking flavour and richness.

Next time we would skip the dessert & order a coffee instead!

Approximate cost: $13
