Thanks Matt from Cheap-N-Reliable Plumbing for friendly and professional service. Matt came at the appointed time, installed 6 new taps and shower rose for me in a tight space, tested the gas-line, carbon tested the flat, serviced all gas appliances, and sorted out the washing machine hose/pipe connection for me, replacing the trap which broke as it was very brittle. The washing machine hose had been emptying into my wash basin ever since I had needed to get behind my washing machine for a separate issue, so it was great to also get that done.
As a person who works full time I always appreciate people who value my time, show up and follow up when you seek their services.

This was Dennis' second visit to my flat. The last one was 2.5 years ago to deal with sugar ants (work is guaranteed for 6 months so doing pretty well), and they had just reappeared. Before the agreed time of visit, I discovered I also had a mouse problem and alerted Dennis to this as well. Dennis is informative, punctual, and friendly.

Doug is accommodating, reasonable and takes care. This was the second time I've got him in, and this time it was to do some fairly minor works - although just as well to have someone who knows what to look for when drilling holes in the wall! I am grateful he would undertake the work.

Coopers installed my clothesline when I moved in to my unit (after I visited their offices then in Bell St) and I was impressed with their service then and when they came out to re-string my clothesline last week. No mucking around. I rang them once, and the following Saturday someone came out to fix the clothesline.

Love the food here, but it is not what I would call typical pub fare and the price reflects a slightly upmarket menu. Good atmosphere as well - no sign of the rough reputation it apparently had some years ago.

Under new management & though I liked them before I really like the service now, and their Fruits of the Sea Linguine is really special. My only disappointment is that they are not open in the evening, but it is a quiet area, and possibly after they've done some renovations, this may change.

I had a piano moved from Windsor (Prahran), down a flight of stairs to Brunswick West. The staircase added to the cost of removal and for that I imagine the cost was about right. It turned out my mother had used them to move the piano to her place in Windsor, so they did not need to review the staircase beforehand as they had the info on file. Very impressed by the service, including the tools they used to get the piano into position at my home without scratching my wood floor (or the piano), & being punctual within the 2 hour windows given for both locations, particularly as I also had to be at both locations. Also extremely glad that I could get this done between Christmas & New Year when I had not booked far in advance.

Don't be put off by the proprietor's telephone manner. I suspect most clients there are men having their heads shaved or trimmed short. However, I have had two lovely haircuts there now; it is cheap, quick, and no nonsense. I wear my hair short but it is a feminine cut and just what I like.
