This review is for Cervantes Motel Restaurant, Cervantes WA

We went here for lunch, we were staying at the resort close by so thought we'd walk over. We had a steak burger and chicken parmagiana and they were both absolute top quality pub meals, couldn't fault. The home made mayo on the burger was to die for, the chips were fresh, the parma wasn't over cooked. However, I must say the staff really let the motel down, they didn't really know what they were doing, we asked for the bill 3 times and it never came, we had to walk up there to pay in the end.

A 4.5 star property in Cervantes is a bit full on but it is absolutely lovely. It's hidden behind the motel so when you're driving uo it can look a bit deceiving. We splashed out a bit here and stayed in a spa room which had a beautiful new king bed, spa, private balcony with a BBQ on it, kitchen and all the other standard hotel stuff. The property must be very new as it's extremely modern and everything was spotless. It cost about $200 per night but it was worth it, after all the driving we were doing on this trip we wanted somewhere comfortable and weren't too keen on the motel.

I had a voucher to stay here for 1 night so I extended it to 4 nights as part of our north trip. It is extremely popular for families and there are lots of kids around so it wasn't ideal for us as a couple but we thoroughly enjoyed it either way. We slept in a 2 bedroom apartment which are fully self contained with kitchen, laundry facilities etc. They also have communcl BBQ's that you can use which are great when the weather is lovely. They have a huge pool and kids playground, the facilities are very first class. You can take a stroll to the beach. I would stay again!

We stayed in Denham because it was cheaper than Monkey Mia itself and is only a short drive away. We slept in one of the 2 bedroom villas which are right on the beach. Make sure you have your own car so you can drive in to town and the restaurants. The rooms are very country like, they have high ceilings and are very open, the decor is quite old like the floral bed sheets, the wikker furniture and so on however they are clean and comfortable. The office lady was lovely, gave us ideas and reccomendations for restaurants. It was very busy when we went so book ahead, we stayed in the area for 3 nights which was more than enough by the end.

We had the unfortunate event of having to visit a mechanic whilst holidaying up the WA coast. We had prepared for almost everything but ended up with a motor problem, I don't know the specifics. Anyway we just rocked up on the day at this mechanic without an appointment and they were actually really helpful. They couldn't see us straight away that afternoon but booked us in the for next morning after moving other people around. They came and got our car at no expense so we could still enjoy the day on foot, it was all done within about 4 hours and we were back driving. We were expecting a huge bill but it was under $1000 so we were pretty happy. I can't fault the service at all, it must be what they mean by country service!

I went here after a canoe trip, I went for a massage because of general soreness (using muscles I don't normally use I guess). I had a thereputic massage which was done by a lady, I love hard massages and she was pretty strong and was able to give quite a good massage, I came out feeling better but I have had nicer massages before. The office is a very nice set-up, prices are a bit on the higher side.

We decided to join a canoe tour as we weren't confident with canoes by ourselves. They gave us a quick and friendly run through on what to do and all the safety rules, it was conforting to know they were concerned about safety. we then canoed along the gorges, it was absolutely amazing and would recommend it to anyone really wanting to explore this area, coneing is a lot less work than it looks. The company were easy to book with, it wasn't too expensive and they provided what they advertised so overall pretty happy.

Whilst staying in Denham we went to this restaurant for dinner, just the building itself is great for a visit. It is built entirely out of shells and inside are all these momento's of the fishing industry in Denham. Even the tables are made out of beautiful timber. The lady owner there is so friendly and still works there, their meals are delicious, they have an amazing range of seafood plus our standard cafe stuff like burgers. It was great, food was ample, prices aren't cheap but that's country WA for you and they were reasonab;e compared to the other places we dined at.

I used this doctor for an emergency because I couldn't get in at Thomson's Lake. I had never been there before so was unsure if they would let me in etc but a doctor saw me within 2 minutes, was extremely friendly (can't remember the doctors name) but then on top on that, which impressed me the most, was that they had no problems bulk billing me (I asked to be bulk billed but normally doctors say no). This really impressed me and I appreciated the friendly service and help from the doctor and the front office lady. I will use this surgery again any time that I cannot get in to my normal doctor.

Last summer our filter carked it right in the middle of the heat wave, we called this guy out to come and replace etc which he did the very next day, we were so happy with his work and it's a shame we don't still need his service (yet) as I have no hesitation in recommending him.
