A nice enough little bakery-come-café. It has a bakery section with the usual breads and rolls but they now have coffee and sandwiches made to order. I just had a coffee as there are many many snack options apart from the usual pastries and sweets, including middle eastern sweets. The staff are friendly but not overly attentive. I would not eat in as the décor is not too inviting. Coffee was nice enough, a good price for coffee at $3.20. I would return for takeaway coffee but would probably go elsewhere for food. coffee was a little too bitter for me also.

Went here for a late late lunch. Kitchen was closed and staff told us so as soon as we arrived. I must say the wait staff do not have great people skills as it sounded as if she was trying to turn us away. We had foccacias (I had to ask if the ones in the cabinet were still available) and although they were nice enough I am not sure they were worth the $9 per focaccia we paid for them. Overall ok, but I am not sure I will be back as there are better places in the area.

Love going here, I have been going here for about 3 years now and every time I go and see someone else I regret it, so I have stuck to Cosmic. Friendly and welcoming ladies, ready to have a chat and very relaxed atmosphere. I had waxing and hair done, they organise the services well so you get everything done in a reasonable time. As with all hairdressers, allow time for your appointment if you are getting colours as it takes a while. Good prices and lovely service, I'm always happy with Tina's work and I can trust her to make the decisions which suits me just fine. My favourite beauty place to go for everything - waxing nails, massage, facials, hair.

Nice little café tucked away in little Collins St. I came here for coffee on Saturday as little else was open in the area. The coffee was made quickly, as I ordered, and they consulted with me on the strength I desired as I asked for strong. Cappucino froth was a little flat but overall a nice coffee. Bold, rounded flavours finished off by the one sugar I added. I would buy coffee from here again and even try some food as the display had yummy looking rolls and quiches.

Lovely little café just opposite the post office near Albion st. This café is styled a little vintage, a little cute and feminine. Great décor and very homely food and beverages. After perusing the menu, which is housed in golden kids books covers (like the little engine that could, grover's monster etc), we decided on soft boiled egg and soldiers, and beans on toast. Beans were homemade, toast was of artisan bread, and prices were good. If you need a quick hunger fix or brekki on the run, try their banana smoothie, it is delish. Friendly, warm staff and inviting atmosphere. They also have gluten free and vegan options, and an array of lunchtime dishes as well. Good coffee and iced chocolates too!

Conveniently located near the post office and not too far from home, my boyfriend and I decided to make the short walk here for coffee and maybe some breakfast. Coffee was very nice, good slightly bitter coffee taste (not the burnt coffee taste!) and smooth on the palate. My boyfriend especially liked his mocha, and he told the staff so, which is unusual for him to do! My only issues would be the traffic nearby and depending on the time of day, it can get quite warm sitting outside in direct sunlight in the footpath area. We didn't find anything we wanted for breakfast - however we did come by around 1130, so perhaps we were a little late. good selection of snacks and sweets and they do crostini, which is nice. lunch selection looked nice but we were craving eggs so will have to try the food next time. A lot of home made food which is becoming rarer these days. We will definitely try the food here for lunch another day. I would suggest this café for takeaway lunch or coffee, and it seems popular with the locals - busy.

This review is for Yim Yam Thai Laos Restaurant, Moonee Ponds VIC

I am a big fan of Thai food, as anyone who has read my other reviews will attest. I had never tried yim yam despite it looking Inviting and having two restaurants nearby - one on Margaret St, the other on Ascot Vale Road. We came in a half hour before closing, so there was only one other couple there, nice and quiet. The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping with suggestions as there is plenty to choose from on the menu! My boyfriend and I make it a rule to choose something we have never tried before each time we eat out, so I found myself ordering salted crab salad ($14.50) and he ordered Garlic Pepper Calamari stir fry ($16.90). The stir fry came out quickly after ordering, and smelt great, nice and fresh. The vegetables were a good mix, zucchini and red caps, and I even didn't mind eating the mushrooms in this dish (normally I put them to one side!). Soon after the calamari, my salted crab arrived. True to description, it was spicy and salty, with crab legs and pincers throughout, with green papaya and other shredded vegetables. It was tasty although we both preferred the stir fry. Rice was just the right stickiness. We will definitely be back. Only downside was that there was some rice dropped on the floor by another diner that hadn't been picked up, but that was not a huge deal.

Great coffee and fast, friendly service. My boyfriend and I walked up as it is nearby, and we did not have to wait long to be served, or to receive our coffees. There is good décor, very stylish but not cold and uninviting. We received our coffees as ordered within about 5-10 minutes of our order. Very nice relaxed atmosphere and reasonable prices. Have not tried the mains but would be willing to as they seem tasty. Seems like a popular spot for the locals and is handy to a lot of residential areas. Smooth, creamy coffee even for skim, not too strong or overpowering coffee flavours. Warm vanilla notes on the aftertaste. I would visit here again to try breakfast.

This review is for Thai Dish, Brunswick East VIC

I love thai food, and have been waiting for a restaurant to be open to delivery to Brunswick west via menulog order service. My boyfriend and I decided to try Thai Dish as we had finally decided to order dinner before they closed. The food was tasty and not too overpowering. I would suggest Thai Dish if you like milder tastes as you get what you specify - we chose Gang Lee and Ginger tofu and the meals were flavoursome but not spicy, which is exactly what we wanted. To make up the $30 minimum, I also ordered a wonton soup, which I put aside in the fridge for today's lunch. I was quite pleased with the order, but I would not say it is the best Thai around. Prices are not too bad, standard for thai, and delivery was faster than quoted. Only drawbacks I would say is that the minimum delivery is $30 and those who like strong flavours may be disappointed, as my ginger was subtle. I cannot speak for spiciness though, as we ordered mild, and that's what we got! I would order them again, but not for a special occasion.

My boyfriend and I went to this café as it is quite near our place and we wanted a quick and tasty breakfast before I had to go to work. It was a Saturday and the place was very busy - too busy for us to get a seat, as it turned out. We settled for coffees (and they brought me the wrong one) at the big centre table. The coffees were great and they come with a little choc-coated coffee bean. However, there is a lack of seating unless you go on a quieter, non-weekend day, and the service was not great - the waiter was obviously stressed at the number of people in the café and was quite distracted and uninvolved with serving us. Other than the fact that we could not get breakfast for at least a half hour after we arrived, it was good. We call it our 'good for quick takeaway coffee' place as I am not sure I would go back to try to get breakfast again.
