This would have to be some of the best Chinese food I have tasted. We came here for my mum's birthday and had a great time. Traditional round tables make for great conversation (with lazy susan of course). For entree we had a selection of dumplings and these were very tasty. We then shared a number of other dishes - each of them excellent. The staff were great too - pretty busy but as soon as you needed them , they were right there.

We needed a new point put in for a TV antenna as we changed our room for watching TV. We found Darren on WOMOW and he came out the next day to have a look at our setup. Although we had an antenna on the right side of the house, he pointed out that it was broken (quite obvious when you know what to look for) and suggested getting another on. We arranged a time for later the same week and the whole job was done for $150 (including a new antenna). Darren also helped move our TV and get it set up again. Seemed like a very capable and reliable guy. We'll definitely use him again if the need arises.

We found this place on WOMOW and thought we'd try it out for dinner with the girls. It is beautifully decorated with mosaic tiles and moroccan style furniture. Great atmosphere. The food was very nice too - we shared a big platter between 4 of us and also had a pizza. Very reasonably priced for tapas style food.
Would be good for a function too.

Friends found this business on WOMOW and we met up here the other day for lunch. It's a great find - a good alternative to Church St. There's a good selection of foods on the menu (with breakfast all day) and everyone's food was pretty good. But the nicest thing was the atmostphere. Its a narrow shop but out the back is a lovely area - kind of outdoors but protected from the wind and rain. The service was good too. We brought our baby and they were very accommodating. Coffee was pretty good too.

This review is for ABC Shop Online, Artarmon NSW

This has probably been one of my worst online shopping experiences - an from a supposedly reputable business like the ABC! I wanted to buy 8 kids CD's (we'd been given one for our daughter and it was a great present so I thought I'd buy a few to use for friends presents). The ordering process was fine and on the site and also on my email confirmation it said "Normally ships in 1-2 days". Fine. A week goes by, and then another week. At this point I called them up to check on my order and I was told that they don't have stock. Well actually they do have 3 but the other 5 will be another 3 weeks. I said "OK - well just ship the 3 that you've got to me then" and they told me they'd have to charge another delivery fee if I wanted 2 deliveries. Despite me explaining that I really didn't want 2 deliveries, but they needed to do it as they were out of stock, they still refused to pay for delivery. I then spoke to a manager who was equally rude. Apparently the "ships in 1-2 days" instruction is only relevant for up to 3 items (but nowhere on the site does it say this). She also didn't see any reason why they should pay to ship the stock they had and when I asked why I hadn't been notified of the delay, her reaction was that this is not a delay, it's quite normal for an order like this and their system is not set up to send emails. Anyway, after some haggling, they eventually agreed to deliver the ones they had. The crazy thing was that the other 5 showed up just 2 days later as well.

This review is for Premium Nappies, Seaford VIC

verified email - 25 Aug 2008

After seeing Premium Nappies rated on WOMOW, I decided to give them a try. I compared the prices of their nappies to normal supermarkets and other online nappy services, and these were definitely the cheapest Huggies nappies I could find. I thought there might be something a bit different about them - but when the nappies arrived, they're exactly the same as what you get in the supermarkets. The guy actually rang to confirm delivery and was very service focussed and they were delivered within 2 days - great service.

This review is for Velvet Paints, Oakleigh VIC

verified email - 10 Aug 2008

We've had a few projects around the house lately - involving staining a large deck and painting a room, so we needed quite a few things. We did some research online and decided to use a product called "Spa and Deck" for the deck. This is a relatively expensive product so I visited Velvet Paints after seeing their rating here on WOMOW. Although the shop looks just like any other paint shop, they are definitely a lot cheaper than others (I compared a couple of prices to Bunnings and they were way way cheaper).

I also found them to be very helpful - willing to mix up sample pots and carry some things to my car (as I had bubs with me).

This review is for OfficeMax, Mulgrave VIC

verified email - 24 Jul 2008

After getting tired of paying exorbitant prices from the major office supplier, I started looking around for someone that could look after the stationery needs of our business. OfficeMax have so far been fantastic. We've been assigned an account manager (Gordon) who has been great to deal with, and all orders have been spot on so far. Also, the prices are much better than you pay for a big retailer.

This review is for Gymbaroo, Brighton VIC

verified email - 24 Jul 2008

One of my mothers group friends suggested that we try taking our babies (only 5 months old) to gymbaroo (or babyroo as they call it). I thought it might be a bit wasted on them because they're still so young but last week we gave it a go. I'm really glad we did because it was a lovely thing to do with your baby - and they seemed to each get different things out of it. Not sure if all babyroo's are the same but this one had one room full of equipment - mats, swings, things to crawl over, toys, etc - and you move from station to station. Also nice because you can chat to the other parents and the babies can interact. Then you move into a music room for the second half. You do various little activities with your baby - all to music. (Eg blowing bubbles, rolling them from side to side, actions to songs, etc). It was a great way to spend an hour or so.

This review is for Agnews Fireplaces, Richmond VIC

verified email - 24 Jul 2008

We purchased a gas fireplace from Agnews - a large Jetmaster one (that looks like a log fire). There are several similar shops nearby so we went to a few but found we got the best advice from Agnews, and the best price. At the time we were a little uncertain as to how the fireplace would be finished off so we also purchased an additional frame. It turned out later that we didn't need this part and they were happy for us to return it and refunded our money. Also, we arranged for our builder to pick up the fireplace and this was all fine. If you're looking for a gas fireplace, I'd recommend starting with this place.
