Love this place. I've been here twice now - once for a friends function and last weekend with my husband. The food is excellent and its got a great atmosphere. Good service, but down to earth. A lovely place - nice and cosy for a cold, winters night. The menu is pretty broad so something for everyone, but having said that, the dishes we had were both excellent. Also a good place to take kids (the earlier you go, the cheaper the kids meals).

I had a voucher for a non-surgical facial here and I absolutely loved it! Was extremely relaxing, but also seemed to be very effective and I was feeling great for days afterwards. In the past the facials I've had have either been relaxing and not effective, or seem very clinical and like a medical procedure! The facial at Renew Skin gave me the best of both! Nicole was lovely and the only negative was that I wanted to purchase some of the amazing eye lifter they used on me but they were out of stock. I'll book in again soon and get some then!
Best Mexican I've had in ages! A friend recommended this place and a small group of us visited on a Monday night. Awesome fahitas and much more authentic tasting mexican food than I've had elsewhere. Friends said the Margarita's were also fantastic - they certainly looked the part. Serving sizes were huge and I found the atmosphere to be nice and cozy.

Great atmosphere and great food. Had the seafood risotto and there was heaps of beautiful seafood in it. Sauce was great too. Most of my friends had either pizza or pasta which were also great. Service was a little on the slow side but overall, a great place to eat with friends.

I saw this business on WOMOW and after browsing through their website, I fell in love with the "Rabbit Lamp". As I had a birthday coming up, I asked my mum to get it for me and its now pride of place in my loungeroom. Some people think its a bit quirky and as the description says, it's certainly a talking point! I've seen the same thing elsewhere but the price was the best here ane the service was perfect. Fast delivery with no hitches whatsoever. I'll be back!
I've eaten here twice and both times the food has been amazing. If you like fish and seafood, this place is a must. It's not a cheap restaurant but you get what you pay for. This time I had the groper and my husband had the snapper - both were divine. We also had dessert (a mixed sorbet and a melted cheesecake) which were both superb. Service was also great - very attentive, old fashioned style. This restaurant is on Beach Rd and has beautiful views across the bay towards the city - so its great to watch the sunset.
My only critism is that both times I've been here its been only 1/4 full so it kind of felt a bit empty (both were week nights though - might be different on the weekend).
We had Leo out to put some opaque film on some of our windows that faced the side part of our house. Initially we were planning on creating a little garden etc to look out on, but as the months went by, we were still staring straight at an ugly fence. I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I got the idea of putting opaque film on the windows - and its brilliant. It keeps the focus within the room but still lets plenty of light in. Might not suit all homes, but looks great in this room.
Leo was very easy to deal with and his prices were very reasonable. He is meticulous with his work and did a great job for us. We'll soon be getting him back to put some solar film on a few upstairs windows to block out some heat.
Thanks Leo!
I recently attended a BBQ event with a club that I belong to and they held it here. Very good, informal venue with the added bonus of a playground to keep kids amused. I've also previously been to a child's birthday party here which seemed a really easy and low fuss way of doing it. They have several good sized rooms plus a fantastic outdoor area.
After seeing the other reviews on WOMOW, we booked the Hoo Haa Bar as the venue for our WOMOW Community Party - we weren't disappointed! The stairway on Chapel St is hidden and deceptive because once you get up there, it opens up into a little oasis that suprises and delights. Its a moody, modern bar with amazing decor and excellent service. We hired out the lounge area at the front but there's also a restaurant at the back and funky booth areas for more casual dining/drinking. Lots of our guests commented on how good the food was - woodfired pizzas and rustic italian finger food. I'm glad I've discovered this gem on Chapel St and I'll definitely be back sometime soon.
Had my sister's hens night here and it was great - even gave us the theme for the night - yes, bimbos! (creative and classy I know!). Anyway, we wanted a venue where we could hang out for the afternoon and then kick on in the evening. This was perfect. There's a great beer garden upstairs (with bar) and they serve really good pizzas as amazingly cheap prices. (There was a happy hour and it became quite jammed during this time.) Inside is great as well - dark and moody with lots of cosy corners to tuck into. We managed a bit of a dance as well!
