Great cafe- good service, excellent coffee (I'm fussy!), and a pretty good atmosphere. What more could you want?
My favourite local place for takeaway! This has become a semi-regular place to get amazing Chinese takeaway with a couple of my girlfriends. The dishes are super fresh and not greasy like some places. Love it! Would also like to try the dine in option but haven't had the opportunity... yet.

I was recently a bridesmaid for my sister-in-law and for her wedding, she chose Lauren to do all of our makeup. Lauren did a great job and we were all really happy with the result - she got the balance right with being enough makeup for a special occasion, but still looking natural enough. She is a lovely person to deal with as well. I think she's based on the peninsula, but will travel (we had our makeup done in a home). She also works closely with a wedding hairdresser that we used as well. Great service from them both!
I have now been training with Vision Personal Training for about 6 months and it is *by far* the best gym / program around. Anyone that seriously wants to get in shape and lose weight should definitely try it. Until now, I have always been pretty active but still found it impossible to lose weight (despite eating reasonably healthily). With Vision, I've been able to get to my initial target (and have now set some more goals). The trainers are all exceptionally friendly and they have a very well thought out system to follow. They also have great online tools to help you plan and track your food and exercise (and a new iphone app). As well as the 1:1 personal training sessions, they also have great group training sessions (cross-training, boxing, running, etc). Highly recommend.
Can't believe I've only just discovered this place. I recently went here with a small group and LOVE the vibe they've got going on. The food was superb (I had a lovely lamb dish) and the service impeccable. Highly recommend.
My husband and I decided to try out this place when we found ourselves on the rare occassion without kids. We weren't after a flash dinner, but I must say I was a bit let down. The food was OK - but nothing special, and the service was more like a cafe. Staff seemed young and didn't have the care factor. Not what I'd expect given their pricing.

If you're having any kind of party or event, this store is great. I saw them on WOMO and have used them for lots of goodies for kids party bags (little toys, games, etc), and recently got some packs of little bubbles for a wedding (instead of confetti). They also have heaps of costume stuff as well as plates, serviettes, platters, cups, etc. The only thing I don't like is that the shop is overflowing with so much stuff that its hard to find things (but start are helpful).
I have recently become a regular at this place and I love it! A group of cycling friends do a ride once a week and end it in the best way possible, by pulling into Hunky Dory's for a great dinner. It's an upmarket fish'n'chip place, or downmarket restaurant. Plenty of dining in activity but the service is fairly basic. They have a great grilled seafood and salad combo which is a *huge* serve of salad, grilled fish, calamari and prawns - all for $15.90. Its definitely the best part of our weekly ride!
Approximate cost: $15-20
I've discovered a hidden gem in Richmond. Recently had lunch there and it was absolutely divine. Some of the nicest salmon I've had! Great coffees, and super service too. The layout is a little unusual - kind of like an old-fashioned pub. I'll be back for sure!

Took the kids here on the weekend to choose our Christmas tree. This is a farm, so you walk around and choose the tree you like, then the guys cut it down for you. The trees seem to be really good quality - healthy, full and a good shape. It's pretty basic but the guys all seem very helpful. Kids enjoyed being involved in picking the perfect tree too!
