Tile cleaning Bathrooms(2) plus powder room. Rude and dissapointing service from Hany. Would definitely not recommend. unfortunately this company did not meet my expectations.

Total Floor Service recently completed two (2) timber flooring projects for us in Somers. Their level of service, experience and quality is superb. Thank you Hany Moustafa.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Hany and his team were contracted to replace damaged Tasmanian Oak boards and re-sand the entire house (130sqm).
The quality of the work and the entire team’s overall professionalism was horrendous!

Hany and his team were given three attempts to correct shoddy work.
After three attempts, Hany assured us the quality of the work completed was the absolute best possible outcome.

Unhappy with the result, we ended up getting an independent report completed by the ATFA (Australian Timber Flooring Association).
In that report it states the work completed does NOT meet industry expectations or Australian Standards.

Issues included, but weren’t limited to:
- Ripples and rough texture across the surface of the floors
- Visible roller lap lines in the coating
- Varying gloss levels in the coating
- Visible Sanding marks
- Sunken and missing filler
- Finish imperfections on the staircase
- Over-sanded boards (now need replacing)
- Improper ‘replaced’ boards (i.e. tongue & grove missing – causing vertical movement).
- Instead of staggering boards (for install), simply cut a line into the entrance way and started again (photos below show what i mean).
- Polish drip marks
- Polishing debris into the floors (hair, wood chips etc).

The ATFA report recommended that the ENTIRE house be redone.

On top of the horrible job completed – the team were extremely unprofessional.
They left rubbish littered all over the front and back yard, they left all damaged floor boards under the house, we found cigarette butts inside the house (on our newly sanded floors), and Hany himself sent us abusive and threatening emails.

Do yourself a favour and do NOT do business with this man.

Total Floors did a satisfactory job sanding, staining and polishing our floors, however there were a few factors which made the experience on the whole average to poor.

- They did not visit the property to inspect the floors before quoting and were later told we had to pay extra to remove the ‘water proofing’ stain previously used on the floors even though this went contrary to what a previous trade had advised on inspection.
- They were delayed on the job by over a day but did not advise us and in fact reassured us that the work was underway – only to later be told that actually the work had been delayed and would not be completed within the agreed timeframe.
- There was damage to several walls/door frames (we assume from the sanding equipment), however they have refused to accept any responsibility despite the fact that there were no other persons/trades accessing the property at the time the damage was done. It is impossible for it to have occurred any other way.
- They don’t clean up well – the skirting boards in every room have some damage, floor staining and/or clumps of saw dust stuck to them which we’re now having to clean & repaint. A number of sanding belts were also discarded on the veranda and in the house. We were told that “all their customers allow for this” … however we don’t consider this best practice or acceptable.

We have two friends who deal in flooring independently advise on what we should expect from a good sand & polish experience and unfortunately all the above goes contrary to that advise.
In conclusion we would suggest that if you’re looking for a comprehensive, 5 star experience, look elsewhere.

We had a Grand Opening in our new warehouse and our vinyl floors were covered in dirt and grease due to the many builders coming and going and it could not be removed with a mop. Thanks to Hany from Total Floor Service he came to our rescue and removed all dirt and grease and then applied 3 coats of polish Our floors now look new and all dirt etc. can now be removed so easily with a mop. Thanks again Hany

We had 5 separate quotes which were significantly less than this one. None of the other companies requested a deposit before commencing. on the date and time, [redacted name] was half an hour late to do the in-person quote. He sat in his vehicle for about 15 minutes prior before coming in. Advised that he had trouble "finding our address" - ??? Finally, comes in, never gave a reason for being late and then we advised that our time was valuable too, [redacted inflammatory comment] He asked us if we "wanted our deposit back" - our response was of course yes. I am a contractor myself and lost wages waiting on a 'late-show'! Also, he decided that we could not rely on this 'service' we relinquished our request obviously, but he felt that it was OK to withhold $80 for a so-called "call out" fee. Advised that they do not normally "quote in person" at such "small jobs" - That's fine! We found an amazing replacement, $600 cheaper with a lifetime guarantee - Caveat Emptor!

I would not recommend this business to anyone! After being delayed 2 hours for my appointment the workers left my tiled hallways full of water and my 2 year old slipped and fell! After asking them to clean it up they did a poor job of that too so when I asked again to clean up missed bits I coped attitude and was yelled at!

Hany communicated the process to a tee, our floors are now sparkling once more. Value for money, great customer service and would highly recommend. Both Hany are his son were welcoming and professional, we would have them back again when needed.
