This place has pretty cheap decor and general cheap feel to it. Not the place to go if you looking for a great dining experience, or going out on a date. However, this is definitely the place to go if you are looking for tasty food offering value for money. They do lots of noodle dishes, and that is why I love to eat at this place. I highly recommend the pho beef noodle soup for $7.50.
I went here about a year and a half ago to cut my 2 year old son's hair. I was looking for a bargain and the haircut itself was pretty cheap. This is the place to go if you're stingy and not fussy. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend it. My son was upset and couldn't sit still so they just used a razor and shaved his head like a sheep. Then from memory they put baby powder on him. It was very, very bizarre and rough handling for a small child. My son was horrified and wouldn't stop crying throughout the cut. Quite a rundown salon. I wouldn't go back if my life depended on it.
I really enjoyed my dining experience here. I loved the decor, which is funky and modern. The restaurant offers a nice, chilled environment. The food was great- I had a seafood pizza which was $24 -it was delicious and good value for money. There's lots of pizzas and pasta dishes to choose from, I will be coming back to try more dishes for sure.
I went in here with my sister in law to get our nails done. We didn't have to wait long at all, and the woman that worked with me was very thorough. Overall the cost was very fair, and we were happy with the results. All in all, a cosy and relaxing salon. A very enjoyable experience.
This is a great place to grab some tasty bites if you're looking for a snack or a quick bite on the run. The foods offered here are not the most nutritious; you will find sausages, chicken kebabs, chicco rolls and the like. But yummy and filling nevertheless! A great place for hungry uni students on the way home, or anyone on the way home, heading to Redfern station. Staff are some friendly, lovely men.

Saucepan offers quite an extensive menu, with lots of different types of foods on offer as lunch specials, from burgers to chicken fried rice, starting from $7. I thought the schnitzel was tasty, and the chicken fried rice is one of my favourites. You can also get some nice coffee here for the $2 -$3 mark.
The staff are warm and friendly, and the food is great here. I had the classic breakfast, which was yummy and good value for money. This is a contemporary cafe, very trendy with modern decor, highly recommended for a relaxing breakfast or lunch.
This is a sweet, homely and funky cafe. I once stopped by for coffee and cake. It is a really relaxing atmosphere in a quiet strip of shops and cafes (on the weekdays there is the occasional rush of uni students go by). The staff are friendly and there are some home goods on sale as well such as homemade jams and relishes. A lovely place to stop by for a hot drink.
Approximate cost: $8
I really love this cafe. I went here quite a lot when I was a local- it's funky and the atmosphere is relaxing. The food is contemporary, nicely presented with good serves. Recently I had a sambo with aoili sauce which was really nice and tasty. It's located on a relatively quiet street which is nice if you want to read the paper or relax with a book. There's organic coffee and T2 teas on offer as well.
Approximate cost: $9
This is a really handy little cafe to grab a bite to eat if you're heading anywhere from Redfern station. It is just outside the station, and there's lots of yummy treats available, like cakes, sandwiches and pies. If you're coming in during the morning, an egg and bacon roll is a good option. They sell Mrs Macs beef pies here too, which are great if you're grabbing a bite on the run.
