This review is for Wasabi Noodle And Sushi Bar, Upper Ferntree Gully VIC

verified email - 14 Nov 2013

Although the item I requested wasn't on their menu, the staff were very helpful in sugggesting alternatives. I ordered sushi with a variation on their usual premade range, and waited less than 5 minutes for it be made. The sushi was the freshest I've eaten and was reasonably priced. The menu also offers a good selection of reasonably priced noodle and rice dishes, and caters well for vegetarians. The venue is nothing fancy but the food is fresh and the staff are obliging.

My friend and I had lunch at the café today. It was a cold rainy day so the café and Upwey in general was fairly quiet which made our visit relaxing and enjoyable. The menu has plenty of tasty meals to choose from and while the prices do seem a little high, the meals are large and are good value for money - just make sure you go hungry or go with the soup. Our food was really good and the service was friendly and helpful. We spent ages at the café and we were asked if we would like to order other drinks but in no way did we feel pressured to order. I would be happy to go again.

I recently purchased car harnesses for my dogs. I've bought products from this company before and have found the quality to be consistently good. The products can be purchased online or from selected retailers, however, I took the dogs to the Black Dog store to have the harnesses fitted with the necessary adjustments made while I waited (only a few minutes).

This review is for RACV Autoglass, Dandenong VIC

I had the RACV Autoglass come to my home and fix a chip in my windscreen. The technician who completed the job was very neat and tidy and he did such a good job, I can't see where the chip used to be anymore. Compared with similar operators, I found the price to be comparable and being an RACV member I got a discount. I would be happy to use the service again.

After painting the lounge room it was time to get new blinds. We were struggling to decide what to replace our old blinds with, what colour to go with plus we were on a tight budget. We had some ideas but after a visit from one of the staff, we happily settled on an option which saved us a lot of money. This person was patient, thorough and very helpful especially with helping us decide on colours. We were very happy with the service and went ahead with ordering our new blinds.

Staff are friendly and helpful which is really important when you need help with finding items or understanding the English name of the product you are looking for. There is a large variety of grain and flours at really good prices which helps keep the cost of baking down. I especially like the variety of gluten free flour such as Sorghum which adds variety to baking and is great for sourcing gluten free ingredients. The prices are really good, much cheaper than supermarkets and the herbs and spices are superior quality and fresh

I've had my computers repaired, sought advice and bought hardware at Bitronics Upper Ferntree Gully. Wes, the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful. There is a reasonably fixed price guarantee for servicing computer which is thorough and comprehensive. A fairly good range of hardware and software is available for purchase in the store which is conveniently located and less stressful than going to the large shopping centres. Sadly the owner has passed away and the business is closed

If you have allergies or are simply looking for a healthier alternative to mass produced bread, do yourself a favour and try the wonderful baked goods from this hidden gem. This bakery specialises in gluten free bread plus cakes, biscuits, pies etc. All their products are gluten/wheat free plus many are made without the other commonly allergy causing ingredients. I've eaten a lot of gluten free bread but the bread from here is soft and bendable and it's a pleasure to eat bread that tastes good and they've got the texture right. Cakes can be made to order for special occasions and they also do mail order for certain foods in the range. For my first time visit to the store I was offered several samples to try and the person who served me was lovely and very helpful.

We ordered hot chocolates and one serving of scones. On the postive side we loved the hot chocolates, they were made with chocolate powder and tasted nice and chocolatey much nicer than when hot chocolate is made with chocolate syrup. Scone wise we thought the mixed berry jam was absolutely delicious but the scones were heavy, doughy and a little under cooked. We were disappointed with the scones and did not think they were the best in the hills. I would return to the venue but not for the scones. Hopefully the scones will improve. We felt the price was a little on the high side but we don't eat out regularly so the price could very well compare with what's being charged elsewhere. The serving of jam and cream was not overly generous and we didn't feel we got good value for money

This review is for The Angliss Hospital, Ferntree Gully VIC

verified email - 31 May 2013

I attended a course of rehabilitation physiotherapy at William Angliss Hospital. At the time I wasn't able to drive so I was pleasantly surprised when the physiotherapist came to my house for my first physio treatment. Arrangements were made for me to be driven courtesy of the wonderful volunteer drivers at the hospital to my physio and hydrotherapy appointments. I won't deny that sometimes the exercises hurt and challenged me but it was important for me to strengthen up again after my accident. The physios made sure I was doing the exercises in a beneficial way and they were caring, attentive and professional. I found the reception staff friendly and helpful, and the rehab classes were very very reasonably priced. Yes parking at the hospital is an issue but for those who can walk around there is free time limited street parking fairly close by.
