Amazing midwife’s, nurses, doctors and everyone else who works there! highly recommended…

Warm, caring and friendly place to be! Makes staying at the hospital not so bad. Appreciate all the medical and other staff who goes over and beyond to make me comfortable.

The beautiful Katie in 2 East wrote my Mum a letter explaining my Dad (her husband) was in hospital but well looked after…. She has alzheimers and doesn’t remember or understand why her husband isn’t visiting. Sue helped them talk on the phone for the first time in two weeks. They’ve been married for 51years. Thanks to these ladies care my parents can still connect.

We took our nineteen year old son to the hospital after he had way, way too much to drink. We were scared and weren't sure how serious it was.

I was so impressed by how professional, warm and thorough the entire staff were.

The nurses and doctor were compassionate and calm. I couldn't speak highly enough about the level of care they gave him.

I attended a course of rehabilitation physiotherapy at William Angliss Hospital. At the time I wasn't able to drive so I was pleasantly surprised when the physiotherapist came to my house for my first physio treatment. Arrangements were made for me to be driven courtesy of the wonderful volunteer drivers at the hospital to my physio and hydrotherapy appointments. I won't deny that sometimes the exercises hurt and challenged me but it was important for me to strengthen up again after my accident. The physios made sure I was doing the exercises in a beneficial way and they were caring, attentive and professional. I found the reception staff friendly and helpful, and the rehab classes were very very reasonably priced. Yes parking at the hospital is an issue but for those who can walk around there is free time limited street parking fairly close by.

I do rehab at the Angliss Community Rehab, and found them nothing but nice, considerate, understanding. The reception staff are really nice, and one lady knew me by name! I've been going to rehab for 4 years, doing physio, exercise physio, occupational therapy, speech therapy etc. Ive been to a doctor there, and she's lovely. The only thing is I have to park in the carpark, as I can only walk on level surfaces, and all around there is on a steep hill, and sometimes there's no carparks available.

I had my first baby here.
I am now booked in to have my second here in the Family Birth Centre.
I can not speak highly enough of the midwives in the FBC.
So supportive,caring and understanding.

THE BEST experience for giving birth to my baby. They went above and beyond, as I had extra issues that needed to be catered for.
Completed my antenatal classes here also, and would highly recommend them.
The birth rooms and rooms you stay in have so much natural light, and have such a great feel to them. As a public patient I was lucky enough to be given a private single room, with a beautiful view as not many others were there at the time. Luck of the draw!

After the birth of my baby 3 months ago I wasn't feeling right I knew something wasn't right but didn't know what? I had headaches, nausea, dizziness, off balance etc.
I'm located in SA and the local doctors where taking there time with finding the exact problem they kept telling me it was just ear infections and I got given drops that did no good. I was developing postnatal depression over the fact I didn't know what was wrong and having to wait maybe a couple of months to get in to see a specialist, we decided to travel down to Melbourne for a fast answer.
We arrived at the hospital and didn't have to wait long, they weren't like any other hospital I had ever been to, they were very professional, I had to strip off had to put on a robe, I had a hospital bracelet put on and they also had everything cleaned and ready b4 I got there, they even brought in a clean heated up blanket for me. I actually felt safe because I felt like they were not going to let me go until they found the problem. They did all kinds of tests, checked everything!, they took blood from me and sent it away for testing and in about 15 minutes they had the results.
It was fast, professional, and they were very friendly. They also found that I had been suffering from a viral infection, and prescribed me with the correct medication.
Well done.

My sister was admitted to emergency following a car accident. One nurse was fantastic but the other nurses and the doctors were hopeless. They all stood around at the nurses station chatting while patients went unattended - they complain about understaffing and overwork but their productivity and attitude left a lot to be desired

I have found them to be a hit and miss as well. There are some fantastic staff, but you can get the other end of the spectrum too.
