We had the laksa, satay and dim sims. the dim sims were interesting...the laksa was lack luster (lol) it had no spice (and i don't normally like spice but i expect some heat in a laksa) hubby said satay was spicy....the dim sims were very different and yummy - i don't know that i would return however it wasn't bad just not great....about $14.00 a meal

Approximate cost: $14

These guys produce some individual photo greeting cards. I actually used the cards as wedding invitations and was really happy with the classy result. Take a look you'll be inspired by some of the unique photos taken by this pair. At $2.50 each cards are cheap and easy to order.

Approximate cost: $2.50

Was intrigued by this hairdresser that was completely empty when I walked past it during my lunch break. Since my hairdresser was currently on maternity leave I was in desperate need of a haircut. The sign said 50% off cuts so I thought I'd be sorted. No one was in the salon when I went and Josephine cut my hair. I must say I can tell the difference in the cut and am quite impressed actually. Cost me $25 which is fine but I was surprised to think that they are going to charge $50 for a hair cut (no wash, I didn't need one...surprised there was no discount for that either) but the saving grace was that they used morrocan hair oil products on your hair and they smell AMAZING!!! Soooo worth the $25 just for that....my hair smelt amazing all day!

Approximate cost: $25

This is a really yummy bakery with pizza squares of the highest quality. The guy was really friendly too. Shame it's just a shop front and not a full blown cafe

Had coffee here recently and it's just soooo ordinary...and you wouldn't mind because at least it affords a quiet place to escape the noisy shopping centre...only the service is just soo slow....bizarre

The subaru parts ended up being not as pricy as i thought. Got a pretty good quote for the timing belt kit and water pump gasket...then went to buy it and it was dearer that the quote, questioned the price and they did a dealer deal for me and got it almost $200 cheaper than what i thought! yayee!

Bought a bag from Yarra Glen Market - cheap and cute. Plasto bags can be really pricy but House of Malia are generally starting at $29 for a bag with really cute fabrics.

I shop here occasionally and on my last three visits I have had an appalling experience. First time the fruit and veg were woeful, and it wasn't that the zucchinis were out of season because the fruit shop up the road had a lovely selection. The second time I was nearly ripped off twice in the bottle shop, first they didn't have the sale price on the baileys so i nearly bought soemthing ultra pricy instead, until i asked. Then after I had bought it went to mums and checked the catalogue and i'd been overcharged $3 - something to do with this particular store having an extra special but the prices in the system being the IGA prices. When I returned to get the refund the shelf price still said the full price which is crazy!! When you look at something in the catalogue and then go to the store and it's not as you thought you doubt yourself. Was sooo annoyed. Third visit, had my doubts about scanned prices at the checkout and voiced this, girl brushed me off twice!! then checked receipt wasn't as i thought stood around for 15 mins looking for help and direction as to how to deal with this, EVERYONE incl the supervisor ignored me and my two yo. Finally got some assistance when i lined up again and was directed to a black and white poster expl muck up in the catalogue.....no apology, no notice AT the actual item on the shelf to adv of this. Was sooo annoyed, no apology from the extraordinarily young 'supervisor' who refunded me then tried to give me the products even though technically it wasn't ritchie's fault, puhlease - i will NEVER return i don't care how cheap the sales are to get you in!

Alison is a friendly woman who understands children. The saying goes don't work with animals or children and whilst this is the case Alison is the enduring type and made sure we got some special shots from our session. I will definitely be returning to capture my little one at this special time.

This review is for Schots Home Emporium Cafe, Clifton Hill VIC

This cafe is situated inside the Schots Home Emporium, upstairs to be precise. The coffee was hot and creamy. We did not taste the food however I noticed a lot of gluten free stuff which was interesting. YOu can get pizza slices and a range of cakes and biscuits. The cake slices are $7 which I thought was a little overpriced however i had not tasted them Overall happy enough to sip coffee whilst looking at gorgeous things! Oh and MOST importantly there was a toilet right next to the cafe!!!! Oh the dignity! This is not to be taken for granted!
