not a bad place to pick up some coffee table books, recipes, novels, jigsaw puzzles and quaint finds like Advanced Homework for Grown-Ups. Everything is 5 dollars!

Great place to rest and recharge after too much furniture shopping. Free beverages for all members is an extra boost (it doesn't cost anything to apply). I like the meatballs and potatoes, but stay away from the $3 barramundi deal

Very good roasts (arguably better than Kenny's across the road), and the taste is authentically South/east Asian. Try the dry noodles, they're hard to beat.

Nice cozy corner for a catchup or cuppa after too much shopping. The drinks and desserts are always reliable at Coffee Club.

According to wifey's research this was reviewed as the best Pho in Sydney, and we just had to try it out. After some initial difficulty locating it (it's tucked behind the corner of John St, not on the main shopping side), we were delighted to find that it was a no-frills, authentic looking joint with many tables and customers. Having a dinner appointment later, we ordered a large bowl to share. We certainly weren't disappointed. The beef was tender and tasty, and the broth just right. It's still not exactly what we had at the roadside stalls in Hanoi, but can certainly say it's better than any we've had in Malaysia, Singapore or New York. Rivalling the best of what we've had in Quebec. (Strange reference points we know, but hey, we've only tried Pho at these few places). A definite spot to return to, each time we trundle down to Sydney.

great stop right outside the woden bus station. i hear they have nice packed breakfast offerings in the morning.
great lunch specials that are not miniscule in size. the taste is slightly localized but still pretty good! i ordered the green curry which was quite satisfying

This centrally located stall within Belconnen mall is not bad for coffee, but the food doesn't look too appetizing. stick with the cappucino.

One of the better roast meat joints in Dickson. Their crispy calamari is quite good! We had their crispy roast pork, which was good.

Great for lunch (nice roasts and stews) and their dinner packs are ok too, but brekkie's pricey. The bar that opens at night looks promising though I haven't ordered anything there.
