Whilst searching for apartment rentals and viewing them, Taylors stood out as a professional yet comfortable real estate agency that sincerely tries to find a good match between landlord and renter. Our agent Fiona is courteous, professional and punctual, and thanks to her negotiations, we managed to find our ideal home, and brought a happy end to a very stressful month of househunting dealing with often rude and difficult agents elsewhere.
New to canberra and a new job, we were sent here through a company flyer offering staff-level discounts one late-night shopping Friday. To our surprise, the electrical and furnishing sections are completely separate and would incur separate delivery dates and charges. Though the prices were pretty good, I was shocked that for self pickup items, I had to drive more than a mile away only to wait close to half an hour at their warehouse, just to pick up 2 barstools. If I hadn't paid for them already, I would've left!
Nice bistro/cafe in the Deakin area. The food is tasty though the menu is small. The staff is nice here too!
Approximate cost: $12
Great place to browse or buy books on campus! Unlike most campus bookshops, the books are actually placed in a browsable manner that encourages buying.
Great for basic homeware, and the counter staff was amongst the most helpful we've found. Plus the plates are pretty pretty as well!
my favourite snack stop in Dickson. their membership only requires a one-time $30 purchase, and entitles you to 15% discounts thereafter. What I liked most about this place was the changing free sweets that they give at the counter, and the big sign that encourages EFTPOS cashback no matter how small the purchase.
great place for a variety of asian goods. you can get fresh, frozen and dry goods here, and lots of sauces too.
salty and miniscule chicken bits with unimpressive tangy sauces. the sides are large but the rice was dry.
Approximate cost: $16
interesting mish-mash decor (we miss japan), and quite varied offerings. the prices during dinner are a tad high though. might return for the lunch specials, but the nabeudon, fried chicken with knuckles, and fried ice cream were uninspiring. The croquettes were quite tasty though.
Approximate cost: $20
Pretty nice coffee joint within the Tuggeranong Hyperdome. What I love best about this place is the multi-coloured chocolate rice sprinkles left out there next to the cinnamon and chocolate powder for patrons to add to their drinks.
