This is a great Japanese restaurant. It's suppose to be a sister of the Iori restaurant. Coo is cheaper than Iori though. For me, the decor and atmosphere is equally matched. The staff are very friendly. If you think of having a budget night, but still want yummy Japanese food, then Coo is the restaurant to go to.

The most Japanese restaurant I have been to in Canberra. Very good, typical Japanese service (like what you would experience in Japan). The menu is a tad on the large side with over 100 items. Me and my friends had difficulty in choosing from so many items. The drinks came out quickly, as did our appetisers. My mains take a while, a bit longer than expected. The dishes were good but a bit expensive considering how much they cost. The platter for two contained many different items to try - I recommend it. A good experience overall.

interesting mish-mash decor (we miss japan), and quite varied offerings. the prices during dinner are a tad high though. might return for the lunch specials, but the nabeudon, fried chicken with knuckles, and fried ice cream were uninspiring. The croquettes were quite tasty though.

Thanks. I felt the same when I visited.
This restaurant attempts to mimic a typical izakaya in Japan but fails in many aspects. The food was so-so (the creamy croquette was the only thing that was nice from the various dishes we had for dinner. The rest of the offerings weren't as "hearty" as an izakaya should be) and service was a lil inattentive but still courteous nevertheless.
I must have been lucky on my night then, I thought the service and food was definitely above average
