Bruce (proprietor) is a Bentleigh staple. He seems to know everyone and everything going on. The shop could do with renovations and styling, but then again it's what you expect from a bargain store like this. It's a hit and miss, but always worth going in and seeing what's newly in. Generally it's all up with the seasonal trends, but of course the brands are pretty cheap. It's spot on for what you pay - the name says it all - the $20 shop.

I have so far only been here once after being lured in by a 50% off deal I saw on the internet. This is basically a one-woman, one-room show. But it seems to have it all. The girl was lovely and thorough. I liked the products she has chosen. It's a pity it's above a hairdresser making it nearly impossible to discover.

Much cheaper prices for everyday shopping. The quality of fruits, vegies, meat and seafood overall much better than major supermarkets like Coles, Woolworths, IGA, but of course not as good as boutiques like Prahran market (which are also much more expensive).
They have lots of imported goods including canned, frozena nd exotic fruits like mangosteen. I've bought the best tangelos in town at this place - so aromatic they scent my kitchen!
You walk next door to IGA where they're sellingl rotting fruits and vegies and meat that's been packed for how long? - for steeper prices. Makes shopping anywhere else look ridiculous.
Last week my partner and I bought our week of groceries including various fresh fish, crab, oxtail and 4 bags of fruits and vegies, pasta, olives and dried fruits for $80. Go to Coles and you'd be lucky to spend under $150.

Very crammed opp shoppe and not cheap, but as I live so close I go in regularly and it's possible to find something great.
The sell furniture (and they can arrange local delivery), clothes (lots of designer stuff), pretty good artwork and lots of books, home goods, jewellery....
The staff are generally rude. They try to sell stuff to you like you're at a Gucci store and emphasise what a good deal you're getting as if you don't know the value of things in this world. Not really appropriate for a second hand shop which charges as much as they do.
Best deals I've had? Longchampe bag (real) for $15, Prada skirt (real) for $15 and brand new Nine West boots with a tiny flaw $20.

Best place to eat in the suburb , same goes for the coffee. The venue itself is pleasant with art work also home grown. The courtyard is the best part.
I've had the chicken salad which was beautiful, and generously loaded with avocado and raspberry dressing. The Swiss eggs are a treat too, drizzled with truffle oil.

Nothing much in the way for presentation or vibe here. Looks pretty run down and no style at all. The one thing going for them is the coffee - very good and well priced. I like to a get a takeaway when I'm in the area. Haven't tried the food, and wouldn't. But the place does seem to have some regulars (smokers) out the front, and families with kids inside (they serve ice cream). Also, even though the name is Italian, there are more Greek biscuits than anything Italian inside.

Right near my work so I pop in for brekki or lunch around once a week. Their morning yoghurt with muesli is delicious (and only $4 for takeaway)! For lunch all is on display - fresh seasonal salads (e.g. barley with orange), boraks, fresh sandwiches and foccacias, spanakopita and more. It's neat and lovely. Great place to go for the health conscious!

I come here for eyebrow threading and I've also had a wax here too. It's a neat small salon offering lots of beauty services inc. waxing, facials, massage. I've been happy with my results each time as there is a particular amount of attention to detail. Both therapist have been careful to thoroughly check that the job is done and I am happy. Not the cheapest place but worth it. Will be back

Great vibe and decor. Lovely garden out the back and nice mix of indoor/outdoor seating. They serve excellent quality food (brekfast and lunch), decent coffee and there's a nice range of stuff to take home including Zealy Bay bread and home-made take home meals. The meals aren't the biggest but just enough to satisfy. Lots of newspapers around, as well as cook books and magazines. Open kitchen. Finishing touches - ordering coffee through the window and a blanket per seat during winter. I come here all the time!

Really funky offbeat cafe with freindly owner-staff. Feels like someone's eclectic loungeroom. Lots of modern art around the room, and nice and quiet location just off High Street. Their speciality is piadina - I had the falafel piadina and my partner the chicken piadina - both came with white corn salad and were divine. Coffe was very yummy. Only downside is the service was a bit slow, but the friendliness and personableness makes up for it. Will def go back!
