This restaurant and shop has a very nice artisan feel and look, and the food reflects this. The meals are cooked with different types of olive oil and have a delicious fragrance. I work in the area and come in now and again for a coffee and cake. The price of the coffee is very good for this area and each size gives a generous serve. The cake can be a bit pricey but have a genuinely home-made and rustic taste and flavour.

This seems to be very popular with the locals, as if it is their first choice for takeaway food. The BBQ chickens are great, but the chips and gravy are what I like the most. They are like no other chips you could get anywhere else, and better than Lord of the Fries. I always try to drop by and buy a pack whenever I visit the Anglesea area whether for a holiday or a day at the beach.

I had a Big Buzz Burger $13.50, as well as a regular chips. Though the burger wasn't as gourmet or flavoursome as a Grill'd burger, it was quite a bit bigger, very tasty, had lots of generously sized fresh ingredients, and probably better than the average burger of its type. I really enjoyed the chips, as they were cooked in a way that gave each chip a delicately crunchy crust and very unique style. They tasted delicious without adding salt or sauce. Both the staff members that served us were the friendliest I've experienced for a while.

My hairdresser David was very welcoming and made feel right away that he would look after my hair well. He spent a lot of time cutting my hair the way I wanted and seemed to do detailed work. I thought he didn't have a fantastic sense of styling but it was good value for the above budget price. He also owns a cafe across the road and it was nice to have a sample of a bakery item from there while my hair was being done.

Approximate cost: $42

We received the worst possible service. We waited 45 minutes for without our meals being served, while the waitress who sat us down and the waiter who took our order walked up and down and looked at us 6-7 or more times and were very well aware we hadn't been served yet. They deserve a rating of minus 5 stars, because not only did they obviously have no intention of serving us, but wasted 45 minutes of our time for no reason.

I usually visit here when in the area. It has a relaxing atmosphere, with a tasteful slightly hippie-ish style, a variety of seating options including a lounge area and spacious and cosy outdoor area, as well as regular indoor tables. The staff are helpful and go about their tasks efficiently and unobtrusively. It has a great range of drinks including non-alcoholic options.

I was a bit disappointed with my beef noodle soup, as it wasn't hot enough, and had a small amount meat and vegetables, but it was generally satisfactory for a budget restaurant and the staff are bright and energetic. The meals for the others in my group looked much better.

I had the Speical Fried Rice for about $12. It was listed as a side dish but was satisfying as a light meal. It had an authentic Malaysian style and taste, and did remind me of rice dishes I've had in Malaysia. I found the staff to be courteous and conscientious and seemed to be keen for us to come back next time.

I found it very pleasant to be able to have my coffee on an outside table with the gardens opposite, and was able to get plenty of sun. The coffee was great quality and a generous size. I thought the staff were very focused on serving their customers, and were chatty without being obtrusive. Even though it was quite crowded the seating was perfect and it was easy to have a conversation.

I visited this restaurant twice during my trip in Sydney. I thought the surrounds and quality was good for a budget restaurant. The food is very colourful and beautifully presented, and had simple but authentic flavours. The staff seemed to take a lot of pride in their service and the food they serve.
