The food was quite tasty and satisfying, and serving size quite generous, especially the battered fish fillets, which were extremely large. But I thought the quality of the food was quite below average. The potato cakes were rubbery and not crisp at all, even though they were freshly- and well-cooked. The fish fillets seemed to lack moistness and separated from the batter. The chips, even though there was some crispness on the outside, were also a bit dry inside and not fluffy at all.

The service was efficient, though not super-quick.

The meal cost $15.50, and consisted of a generous serving of chips, two large battered fish, two potato cakes, and 2 fried dim sims.

Has a great range of burgers at good prices. Today we ordered three deluxe hamburgers, minimum chips and seven potato cakes for takeaway for $25. The service seemed extremely fast. The order was ready before we got there to collect, which was less than ten minutes after we phoned in the order. The chips today were a bit soggy, maybe because they were not cooked quite long enough, but were still good, and a large enough serve to easily satisfy three people. I thought the potatoes were delicious, and maintained their crunchiness even though they were affected by the soggy chips. The hamburgers were very tasty and satisfying.

I quite liked the choice of dishes, even though the menu was presented on two pages so was a bit cluttered. I ordered beef with oyster sauce for $10.90, which was good value. The flavor seemed to be just the right strength. At first I thought it was too salty but when eaten with the generous serving of rice, the taste was just right. I also liked that the vegetables included with the dishes were cut in a decorative manner that gave this Chinese dish a distinctive touch of Thai. Today there seemed to be a delay with my order. My friend was served his dish in a few minutes but mine was served about 10-15 minutes later. There was a good variety of drinks available. I had a large glass of coconut juice, which was very fresh and not too sweet, costing $3.50.

Overall I was reasonably satisfied with my haircut. It was the correct length that I specified, and the overall hairstyle achieved was good. I thought it was a bit scrappy of a job at times. The barber did not take enough care to ensure the evenness of the texture of my hair and left quite a bit of unevenness in length between left and right sides of the hair near the front. $35 seemed expensive for a very basic and imperfect cut.

I thought the food had a distinctive Cantonese flavour and style, although it was not as pungent as the flavours could be. I had stir fried duck and vegetables with rice, which I found satisfying and good value at a cost of $12.90. The staff were particularly energetic today and eager to serve, and the service was very fast.

This review is for Hallah Contemporary Korean Cuisine, North Melbourne VIC

Having hardly had any experience with Korean food, I felt my dining experience here was a much better introduction to Korean cuisine than I would have expected to receive. With each dish, I felt I was tasting something new and delicious. The food seemed of very good quality, and offered pleasantly sharp flavours and tastes, as well as more familiar flavours presented with a unique twist.

The staff, including some attractive young waiters, were charming, pleasantly rather formal in manner, and very attentive most of the time, especially in assisting with the barbecuing. Their attentiveness declined towards the end of the meal for some reason, but they did give us a warm farewell.

We had the equivalent of about seven or eight dishes shared between five people at the cost of about $30 each. My friends said this is more expensive than Wooga Korean Restaurant next door, but with a slightly more luxurious experience, and I thought the serving size was slightly generous compared with other restaurants serving similar-style dishes. I wasn't overly full after the meal, but definitely very satisfied.

The chips are fresh and crisp, which is what I prefer. Other than that, the quality of the food is not necessarily special but definitely what you would expect. The prices seem to be cheaper than expected and serving size of meals seem at least slightly generous. On my recent visit the staff were very polite and patient in taking my order and were keen to start preparing it straight away. I ordered a kid's pack because I wanted a light meal, but the serving size was so generous I needed to share some of my meal with my friends. I also had an extra dim sim added to my meal which was not part of the pack deal, but I have no idea whether this was deliberate or an accident on their part.

The serving sizes of meals, including entrees, are very generous, and the prices and speed of service are as expected for a pub. The best choice of food are the traditional meals such as parmigiana and fish & chips. The poultry in some dishes tend to be either not fresh or overcooked. A duck dish I had did not taste like duck at all. Similarly the Asian dishes like Thai or Indian tend not to live up to their name, and don't have any international flavour at all - supermarket Asian meal kits make more authentic tasting dishes. On a recent visit I had Mushroom Risotto. As usual it was a generous serving. Initially it had a reasonably good taste, but then tended to become slightly monotonous and bland.

Charming, polite and skillful young staff. Not a luxurious salon, but after my first visit, I felt something creative had been done to my hair, and that I had a well-designed haircut. Great quality considering the price

A little Chinese dumplings restaurant with down-to-eartch settings. Staff are polite and accommodating. The food is exceptionally flavoursome and delicate, and there are some very unique tasting dishes. The only criticism is that the steamed dumpling skins tend to be too large for the amount of filling. We had 4 dishes shared between 3 people at a cost $13.50 per person, including an onion pancake dish, noodles with sesame sauce, and a total of 21 dumplings.
