Took both of our Corollas to get washed today - they were in dire need of a clean as they hadn't been washed/polished in months (and months and months). We requested the Green Mini Premium Detail Service for both cars and were told it would be about an hour and a half for the cars to be finished. We got an SMS when they were ready for pick-up and were absolutely ecstatic with the end result! The cars look like brand new! Very happy with the price too ($75 per car). Would definitely recommend these guys and will be doing business with them again.
Approximate cost: $150
We've eaten at Hog's Breath a few times and it's always a great meal. The food tastes fantastic, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the cost is pretty decent (especially considering how BIG the meals are!). I recommend their steak - obviously! - because it is top-notch.
Approximate cost: $25-30
Mum went here for a cut & colour but the end result was NOT what she was expecting. When Mum showed the hairdresser pictures of hairstyles she'd considered, the hairdresser essentially waved them off. The colour didn't take properly on certain parts of the hair and the cut was nothing like she'd asked for, so much so we had to get someone else out today (public holiday!) to fix it! Others may find the service different, but neither of us will be going to Rebhorne again.
Approximate cost: $125
Last night, I rang Kelly to see if she would be available today (a public holiday - I know, bad timing!) to do a 'fix someone else's mistake' cut on my mum. Kelly came around this morning at 10am and worked some serious magic - she is AMAZING. Mum looks fantastic and is unbelievably happy with her cut. I would go so far as to say that it's the best cut I've seen of Mum's hair in years. I would highly recommend Kelly to anyone - she is brilliant!!!

These guys are fantastic! I've tried a few of their menu items - love their cinnamon donuts and the triple chocolate mousse is amazing but the item I would crawl over broken glass for is the chocolate eclair. HOLY WOW. Best I have ever tasted in my LIFE. Others who've tried the eclairs say they beat out authentic French patisseries! All items are VERY reasonably priced, as bakeries go. Would highly recommend BreadTop to anyone.
Approximate cost: $Varies - usually $2-3 per item
Kebabs tasted great! So hard to find a decent kebab place on the Brisbane northside so when we stopped at Coolum for lunch and I saw the kebab place, knew I had to give them a go! Tastes like a kebab should and the price was pretty average for kebab places.
Approximate cost: $8.50
We tried this bakery for the first time the other day, looking for a decent meat pie (I'm incredibly picky when it comes to a good meat pie). Score! These guys have them. My mum had the tomato and onion meat pie and she said it was absolutely beautiful (she actually preferred it to the plain pie).
Will definitely be returning. :)
Approximate cost: $11 (3 meat pies)
I found Dezine online through a Google search. They had a fantastic summer deal available, so I decided to give them a shot. Best decision I've made in a LONG time!
Upon arrival I was made to feel very welcome, the staff were attentive and took time to listen to my concerns about my hair and what I was looking for. The end result was fantastic!! Best haircut (and colour) that I've had in years. Incredibly happy with the outcome and the price was pretty reasonable - you would easily pay far more elsewhere. I'll definitely be going back.
Approximate cost: $150
Betta Car Electrics was the second auto-electrician I went to this morning for what appeared to be a simple fuse problem with the cigarette lighter/stereo. While the other place wouldn't even look at it (they quoted $88/hr regardless of how long it took to fix and wouldn't have a look unless I booked the car in), Andrew found the second (hidden) fuse box and fixed the issue in less than 10 minutes!! Not only that but the price I ended up paying was so reasonable, I felt like I should be paying more! I HIGHLY recommend these guys and will definitely be going back to them for any other auto-electrical problems we have! Big thumbs up to them!!
Approximate cost: $10
I've just started going to Entire Health for rehab after breaking my ankle right before Christmas. The physios have been really fantastic and I'm surprisied at how well I'm walking again after only 3 weeks without the cast! The staff are all very friendly and helpful, and the physios really know their stuff. I'd recommend them to anyone.
Approximate cost: $69 (before health fund rebate)
