Whenever I visit Melbourne, I always make time to visit Chadstone (Chaddy) shopping centre. The shops are to die for. Some of the best international brands to be found here - the staff were very friendly and approachable in the Chanel Shop - no Julia Roberts experiences there. Do yourself a favour and go there - you won't be disappointed!
If you want Yum Cha that is very fresh and delicious, go to The Regal restaurant in Chinatown. Most Sundays you have to line up for a couple of minutes, but don't be put off by that as the wait is worth it. They have the best steamed dumplings in Sydney. Waiters and staff are very friendly.
Turramurra Music is the best store on the north shore of Sydney for all music products. They give great service, and also offer fantastic discounts which can often save you hundreds of dollars. Nice guys who know their stuff. They will also hire musical instruments if you do not want to commit to buy straight away.
If you want to see some of the best wedding cakes in Sydney, visit Cake Art & Design at the Rouse Hill Shopping Centre. It is not the cheapest, but certainly the quality and designs are great. Even if you don't want to buy, it is worth just looking at their display in the window.
Nice friendly staff. There is a lot to choose from, although the pricing is a bit confusing as they say 85% discount on retail, and I am not sure that is correct. Well worth a browse as you may pick up something very nice that is not too dear. Most of the clothes are pretty different and trendy.
These gardens are fabulous, and perfect for family walks. My grandchildren especially liked the childrens section with 'the Mad Hatter's Teaparty' setting. This is a great place to visit when you are next in the Hunter Valley. Lots of nice places to eat and stay close by.
Recently Ilene Bennett from Just Photos took my photograph to be used on my website. She was very patient, took lots of shots, and made me feel very at ease whilst she did this. I have had very good feedback from this photograph. The staff at Just Photos are very experienced, and helpful. The quality of their photo processing is second to none. I also like the fact it is a family owned Australian business. I would recommend their services to anyone looking for good quality photograph.
I have used The French Kitchen on several occasions when having parties. They have a good range of frozen foods, party goods, and will even make a cake for that special occasion. Also open on a Sunday morning for a few hours. By shopping there does take a lot of pressure off you when catering for the masses.
Pete is an institution in the Hornsby area. Originally from London, he is the quintissential 'Cockney'. Old fashioned service - he always has a smile, and will try and fix anything you ask him. His prices are significantly lower than any other shoe repairer on the north shore. He is a real gem.
Great coffee, hot chocolate, tea, and cookies available at sporting events, corporate events, and school fetes. The coffee was hot and tasted delicious, and my kids loved the hot chocolate. It is great to be able to buy decent coffee and snacks whilst watching the kids play sport. If your school or sports club needs a coffee van, why not call Luke to discuss.
Approximate cost: $3.50 per cup
