Very good butcher, however a little pricey. Most of the meat comes directly from the owner's farm, and the quality is great. Always busy which is a good sign. The beef is very lean and first class quality.
One of the best clubs in Sydney as the facilities are second to none. The club offers great entertainment, a hotel and sports venue also. Very good venue for weddings also. Staff are lovely, and nothing is too much trouble for them. The best club in the Liverpool area.
If you love roses, this is the nursery to visit. You can walk around the rose garden, have a meal, or buy some plants. The staff are very helpful. Well worth a visit, especially for interstate visitors as Swanes is well known throughout Australia.
Lovely fudge that you can taste before you buy. They also have boxes of chocolates including truffles. Great place to stop and buy those small gifts for friends and family. If you can't get to Margaret River, they also have an online shop.
The restaurant is fantastic, and for a regional restaurant has the best food imaginable. I recently went to a 60th birthday lunch. The food was magnificant, the service great, and we were not hurried and in fact did not leave the restaurant until 4.00 pm. If you ever in this part of Australia, do yourselves a favour and have a meal there. Also open for breakfast.
This florist does beautiful floral arrangements. I recently bought 1 dozen long stemmed white roses for my best friend's funeral and and they were absolutely gorgeous. The best florist in the area.
This deli has been in the Pennant Hills area for years, and offers great home cooked savoury and sweets. Also good for sandwiches and cheese platters if you are entertaining. Although you pay a little more, it is worth it becauseof the quality of the food. Well worth a visit.
I order bread and milk from Aussie Farmers as I like to think the proceeds of the produce goes directly back to the farms rather than the greedy supermarkets like Coles and Woolworths. They also sell fruit and vegetables, other dairy produce and some meat. I prefer to buy fruit and meat myself so I can see what it looks like, however for convenience the bread and milk are great.
Not the usual sort of place you find in Nelson Bay. This restaurant specialises in molecular gastronemy, and is a fantastic dining experience. Not that cheap, however if you had this in Sydney it would cost twice as much. You need to take time for the whole degustation menu with local wines to match, so leave at least three hours for this dining experience.
Quite a new Thai Restaurant which is proving popular with the locals, so best to book early especially for weekends. The service and food was good, so I would recommend this if you are in that area.
