This place is modern and perfect. The head chef here once worked at Vue de Monde and the food is accordingly representative of that. Seasonal ingredients presented in ways you wouldn't imagine.

That soft shell crab burger is ridiculously good. You CANNOT go there and not try it. They make in house sodas as well. YUM .
Go early - gets busy

I lived near Bluebird Espresso for many years and what an oasis it is. One of the best cafe's in melbourne tucked away in the back end of Collingwood.
From start to finish the experience is enjoyable here. PERFECT coffee and thoughtful, seasonal food.
Classics stay on the menu which is perfect when you just feel like your old fave. The Avo smash is delicious.
I think the difference between a good cafe and an amazing one is when you cannot flaw food or service ever- even after multiple visits.
Sit out the back if the suns out or keep warm inside on a big beautiful wooden communal table. Get in early- this place is busy on weekends

Slowpoke is cool. Good coffee, clever food coming out of a tiny kitchen and a great choice of spots to sit and enjoy your lunch. I love the window stools facing Brunswick st. So nice in winter to sit with a tea and porridge and watch the world go by.
There is a courtyard out the back for summer also.
Menu is small and seasonal. Lots of healthy and hearty options with choices for GF and Vegan also.
Staff are wonderful. Always calm, always lovely.

This place changes hands I believe around the middle of last year. The change was instant -- and to be honest it's neither good or bad, just different. You can get an honest coffee here at a good price and reliable food that is tasty but not amazing.
Bebida is well decorated and has a warm homely feel. Its a great spot in winter to meet girlfriends for wine and tapas. I think being on such an amazing street for culinary experiences, Bebida gets a little bit left behind.

Great great hotel - even better location. Right on Bourke st in the heart of the CBD lies this fabulous hotel. With tram stops out the front and within walking distance to everything it is absolutely perfect for leisure and I imagine business also. My partner and I enjoyed a romantic weekend in a studio suite. The room was impeccable. Neat , tidy and tastefully decorated in a earthy modern way. A big beautiful window kept the space bright and airy and ensured a fabulous view. Bathroom was compact but well appointed.

I really enjoyed this hotel , Again I cannot reiterate enough what an amazing location it is in. Look out for specials on Wotif, I've noticed some good ones.

The staff at this bank are so friendly and helpful. I guess when you visit a bank you don't really think about the experience but I always enjoy my banking with this branch. Lines move quick and the branch is easy to navigate

Love it - Great range of hand poured, Australian made candles. They cover all bases too with and Aromatherapy range / soy / fragrant / beeswax and unscented. Dusk also has a great range of gifts as well as decor for the home. There were good specials when I popped in as well. Try the Harmony candle - so beautiful and relaxing. I'm a regular and will always return

YUM . Pretty reliable bakery for great bread/treats/snacks/lunches. Easy location too, close to the beach and caravan park with lots of parking. Service can be a bit patchy- staff were young but eager to help. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Beautiful Pizza- Best around this area actually by a long shot. Tasted very authentic and fresh and the menu has healthier options as well which I appreciate. A great find in Mullum with lovely, friendly wait staff. Will be back

Beautiful Golf Course- Totally stunning. Playes a round of 9 holes here and was stunned by the beauty and layout of the course. Might not be the most manicured... but if you want a really enjoyable game out in nature Teven Valley is your course.
