I had acrylic nails done at this salon for about 2 years, until I went back to natural nails.
The price is fantastic and the location was really convenient for me at the time. I like that they are in the arcade near westfield so parking is easy but the salon is secluded enough to not feel like you're on display in a shop window.
All the girls who work in the salon are nice and polite. They will chat with you if you feel like it or let you read a magazine if that's what you prefer. They are very helpful and will do things like taking your card out of your wallet or opening the door for you if your nails are wet. They would even light a smoke for me after I stepped out of the shop! They always made me feel comfortable in their salon.
They do great work on nails and have a fairly wide selection of shades. They offer all kinds of services such as nail art and natural nail manicures but I've only ever had arylics done there.
They can get quite busy at times so it's better to make an appointment. If you don't they'll usually say come back in 30min to an hour and they'll fit you in then.
If I still had acrylics I would definitely go back there. I would recommend this salon to ayone needing nail services.

I had my hair washed, cut and dried here on the spur of the moment. I did have to wait about 20 min which was fair enough as I didn't have an appointment. However the waiting area is not very comfy, it's just a long cushioned bench in the middle of the salon and I wasn't offered magazines to read while I waited.
The stylist was good but not spectacular. She didn't pressure me to buy products and made me feel quite comfortable. I asked for a fairly basic style cut and she did a good job, but not amazing. The blowdry was ok. It was smooth and shiny but I didn't like the shape she dried it into.
The value was pretty standard. Overall, I wasn't unhappy with it but I wasn't deeply impressed either.

I got my hair cut at Price Attack on the spur of the moment, without an appointment. I didn't have to wait at all which was great.
The cut was excellent and the stylist was really good working with curly hair. She did an excellent blow-dry and didn't need to use a flat iron at all which I was impressed with. I didn't like the products she used much, but that was the only negative of the cut.
The price was really good value, the staff were friendly but not pushy with sales, and they worked quickly while still paying attention to detail.
The atmosphere of the salon is not great, as it's at the back of their shop. It's quite noisy and exposed to passers by.
They're not my favourite hairdresser but I would definitely recommend them, especially if you're on a budget.

This review is for Ciao Surveys, Sydney NSW

verified email - 05 Jun 2010

I get a lot of survey invites from Ciao, but very rarely get any rewards. Their surveys are generally very long and repetitive, much longer than the estimated time they quote. I attempt many of them and am asked lots of questions before being screened out. There is no reward for being screened out and I feel that's pretty unfair.

I also get identical survey requests from them over and over again. Even if I've been screened out before, it will allow me to go through the process the whole way to get screened out again. Such a waste of time.

I had built up about $16 in rewards at one point, but lost all of it as I didn't log into the site for 6 months or so. I feel that's pretty unfair - I had no home pc at the time and our internet usage at work was blocked which is why I didn't.

This is undoubtedly THE WORST survey panel I have ever been part of. It's incredibly slow to build up rewards. The only reason I'm still a member is because I'm waiting to get up to the $20 required to request payment. Once I reach this I will leave the panel immediately.

This review is for Eastgardens Medical Centre, Eastgardens NSW

Eastgardens Medical Centre is not outstanding but it's pretty good.
It's very busy but you don't need to make appointments and the wait time is generally within 15-30 min even when packed. The waiting room is very small and crowded though which I find uncomfortable.
They bulk bill for everyone and the location is convenient, with free parking in the Eastgardens shopping centre.
The doctors are quite good, I've never had any problems with them but then I've never been there with a serious complaint. They do seem a little rushed however this hasn't affected the quality of care I've received.
I'd recommend this centre but it's not my first choice in the area.

LiveTribe is in my top 3 survey or rewards sites.
They have high quality surveys, not too long or hard to navigate. The survey invites are really quite frequent, but you only get a small reward per survey. However, considering they are shorter surveys and there are many it's pretty easy to build up points.
You can redeem points as vouchers which I like, but you can't redeem cash.

Pureprofile is by far my favourite rewards site.
The rewards value is the best of any site I've found, and you earn monetary amounts rather than points which get converted.
You generally get 10 cents per website visits, and there's a few every day. They also have frequent surveys which I think are really high quality. They are less repetitive and shorter than most survey sites. The estimated time is spot on and the rewards per survey are actually worth it.
I find it pretty easy to build up rewards on this site, and when you request a payment it goes straight into your account with minimal fuss. They pay quite quickly too, it never takes longer than 3 weeks.
If I was a member of just one survey panel or rewards site it would absolutely be pureprofile.

I've been a member for about 5 years and I'm mostly happy with Rewards Central. The "free" daily rewards are good but you'll only get a small amount of money this way. The best way to gain points is by using their shopping partners. There are a few I use regularly who I would buy from anyway so this is how I get most of my points.
Don't be tempted to cash out your points straight away. Deposit them in the e-bank and you will earn extra as interest. It really helps me maximise my points – you can have up to 10,000 points there earning interest of up to 15%.
For a long time I was a standard member but about a year ago I upgraded to gold membership. I didn't think it would be worth it initially but now I've tried it I can assure you it is. I am building up points at probably twice the speed I was before! The initial fee is $66 for 3 or 4 years which seems a bit steep, but as long as you renew membership before it expires the cost after that is only $15 per 4 years. I definitely get way more money back than the cost of gold membership.
I do have a few issues with this site though. Firstly, I think their customer service is very poor, and I've really had to push to get a satisfactory outcome to any complaint. Receiving rewards either as cheque or bank deposit is very slow, it can be up to 2 months.
When shopping on eBay through rewards central there are so many rules! Be aware before you shop or you won't get your points. You need to click on the “Start Earning – Shop Now” button before purchase of EVERY INDIVIDUAL ITEM – even if the items are all from the same seller and being invoiced & posted together. Then you need to log claims for every individual item separately, again even if they are part of the same order. I recently purchased 7 items from one seller and had to log 7 separate claims! This is not only annoying and time consuming, it means you end up losing points as points are rewarded on whole dollars and rounded down. It can take up to a month for them to approve eBay claims, while other reward partners are usually a few days to a week.
Despite the negatives, overall it's a good site and worth joining. It won't take up a lot of your time like most rewards sites and the rewards are great as long as you are aware of the quirks.

This review is for Ramsay Street Medical Centre, Haberfield NSW

verified email - 04 Jun 2010

This was local medical centre for over 10 years and I would still visit but I no longer live in the area.
The location is convenient, and the staff are nice and friendly. The building is wel-renovated and spotlessly clean. The waiting room is really spacious so you don't end up crowded in next to people with runny noses very often, they have plenty of reading material (although some of it is pretty old) and there is even a couch. There is a seperate playroom for the kids with lots of toys – it has a glass wall so the parents can keep an eye on them and the children can be loud without annoying other patients.
The doctors here are all really great. I've probably seen all of them at one time or another and I find they take the time to listen to what I am saying and pay attention to my medical history. They are very thorough, which is important to me as I'm only in my 20s but have many medical problems and some doctors can be dismissive due to my age. That has never been a problem at Ramsay St.
They have a treatment room and nurse on staff so all blood tests can be taken on the spot. They also have an x-ray room and even a psychologist.
Bulk billing is available to everyone, not just those with a health care card.
The only problem I have is sometimes there can be a long wait as it's such a popular medical centre. You can mostly avoid this by making an appointment first though, just make sure you call in the morning as they don't take appointments from late afternoon onwards.

This is by far my favourite medical centre. The doctors are really thorough, listen well and make you feel comfortable. The front desk staff are friendly and efficient, even though they are clearly very busy. The waiting room has plenty of magazine and a corner full of toys for kids to play with. They bulk bill for everyone, not just health care card holders. They run mainly by appointment which is great as it minimises wait time even though the centre is extremely busy. My only problem with them is that they are so busy that it can be difficult to get an appointment - you may have to wait a day or two. That's no good most of the time especially if you need a medical certificate for work.
